Hey,
Does anyone have a Matte Screen Protector (anti-glare), if so, how much does it effect the awesomeness of the screen. Obviously the HOX's screen is one of its greatest assets, I don't want to be dumbing it down, but would prefer a anti-glare screen protector
Many Thanks

I had one of those recently... I really couldn't keep it on for very long. The colors were not represented as beautifully.
I had been using it for a month until i recently changed it.It obviously takes away the awesomness of the screen , moreover its not that great to touch. Also, it has limitations to its viewing angles.
Hope it helped you...

I got one each for my wife and I because she liked the papery feel of the plastic that was on the phone in the box.
They feel smooth to the touch and my fingers don't stick or grab when swiping the screen.
They reduce glare and are very fingerprint resistant but they make the screen a little sparkly, fuzzy.
They really do affect the quality of an otherwise great screen. They've been marked by my car keycard but rather the protector than the screen itself.
The wife likes it but I would remove mine if it wouldn't be a waste of money.
This is the same brand as the one I'm talking about but the one I have is the Ultra Fine
Spigen screen protector

Well I got my matte screen protector today. I bought it from Netimes.com and so far its working quiet well at keeping the fingerprints at bay. Before when I was using the stock screen protector and then without any protectors I always had a ton of ugly looking fingerprints and face grease.
It's also quiet good at cutting down the glare, but there are a few downfalls
1) it causes the screen to look more pixated. It's especially noticable on white backgrounds
2) it causes your contrast to drop 5% or so from the normal
still worth it so far, but these problems, especially the first one is quite annoying

yeah same problem with the one I bought on brando.com, it's perfect for its resistance and quality, but the screen looks as yours. maybe I'll try the other one not matte
Anyone has tried Zagg invisible shield? i bought one but i havent installed it yet, i want to know if its worth the effort.... and the money too lol
The stock one is much better, Zagg is kinda hard on the screen makes it more difficult to swipe or slide something.

Dear,
Can anyone recomend me a good screen protector because I have bought glossy one and I am not satisfied - to much reflection and fingers on screen.
Now, I am thinking about matte screen protector, can you give opinions about this one, I have heard that with this screen is not so sensitive, it is true?
Thank you regards

using a matte screen protector.. the screen quality is mediocre.. but i can live with that.. no finger prints and no issues with touch sensivity.. like this more than the glossy ones..

I have matte as well, works like a charm
Thank you for help I have decided to buy a mat one, because now I have too much fingerprints.
Regards
I've been using ZAGG screen protectors (wet application) with my devices and I've never gone back. They're glossy, but I can live with it because a wet application allows you to apply the screen protector flawlessly without any air bubbles every time.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24472222
I use ZAGG screen protectors as well. The wet application method really does work wonders to ensure there are no air bubbles or slip ups in the installation. The ZAGG screen protectors are also somewhat rubbery, so they actually PREVENT scratches, not just protect the screen in case they happen. Plus, if something does happen to them, you can just log on and request a warranty replacement for just the cost of shipping (~3.99) and receive a brand new one. I am thoroughly satisfied with ZAGG screen protectors and use them on ALL of my devices.

Does anyone know where to get matte/flat/anti glare screen protector for the SIII? I've been looking everywhere and I can't find any. I don't need it for "screen protecting" purposes, I'm very careful with my phones. I just had one on my Sensation, and I loved the "flat" screen effect. It also offered less friction resistance.
Thanks in advance.

No offense, but WHERE were you looking?
A simpl search of galaxy s3 matte screen protector gives you heaps of results on the most common place to get screen protectors..
http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=...3+matte&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
personally I dont like the feel of the matte protectors
i ordered this http://www.ebay.com/itm/230825484423?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
and this http://www.ebay.com/itm/261046599703?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
the second link matte SP can be seen here as ive already bought it before http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796157
I love these screen protectors, and they work really great.
I should be getting them either tomorrow or or the next day. I will let you know how the SPs on the first link are.
Thanks guys. I want something with a better fit. I don't like those with the overly generous cuts on the top. My mistake for not mentioning.

You looked through all of the pages?
This is on the first page, I dont think its generous at all
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2X-Anti-Glar...ccessories&hash=item3377a87a43#ht_1732wt_1163
All good. But if you want a matte screen protector to cover the whole screen. you're gonna have a hard time finding one.
I've order one that covers the whole screen but it lifts up on the edges.

I know its about personal preference but why would anyone want to put a matte or flat on a screen as beautiful this one? That is one of the best features of this device in my mind..simply amazing. I hate having to put a screen protector on period but I don't want to scratch the screen so I use a screen protector that is as clear as the screen or at least close to. Anyways just my point of view.
You should be able to find your type of screen protector on amazon and sgp may have one that suits your needs. I know I saw a couple at Verizon Wireless store

Yeah as much as i don't want to use a screen protector, i can't avoid it because my hands get sweaty at times and i hate it when my fingers stick to the screen. That's why i use anti glare sp. Swyping is annoying when my fingers are sweaty

because he prefers function over form. The matte screen protectors reduce glare and finger smudges. The plain glass smudges and can be hard to see with glare in certain situations
Here you go -

(The one you want is "Nano Optics" under Select Color option)
I hate the dotted and rainbow colors on the matte protectors ... Have been using "Ultra Optics" from SGP on each phone I have ever had ... they are smooth as hell, no screen distortion at all ..
Trust me .. you wont be disappointed

Hi, I'm not really sure how to buy the proper screen protector.
I've seen one on the 5 that i really liked, it doesn't makes the phone feel good, it makes the phone feel cheap instead, it has the rough feeling to it.
I like that, my fingers just glides across the screen, as to where those nice and fancy "film" protector, which i bought for all my devices, sticks my finger to the screen which makes swiping very difficult.
Is there a specific kind of these protector?
are they called "matte"? because there is 0% reflection or shine to them. Is that it?

I have a Spigen one from ebay which is rather good. They sell various ones with differing levels of anti-glare, fingerprint resistance etc.
I purchased the Zagg HD direct from Zagg, its much better than the standard Zagg if you object to the orange peel effect, and its almost impossible to see it when its on the screen.
I would say you can still feel it under you fingers but its much much less obvious than the original Zagg, very happy with it.
Other thing to say is that it was easier to install IMO and it hasnt yet gathered any rubbish on the edge of the skin which i have seen alot do.
... maybe i just did a good job of applying it this time.

As the question in title goes, how many of you here are not using a screen protector on your Oneplus 3/3T? What's your experience so far without one? Any good or bad?
As for me, after going through probably a dozen of screen protectors (both TGSP and films), I have decided that it's time I should just not bother with screen protectors anymore, since none of them provide a good/smooth experience as compared to the beautiful naked screen
What are your thoughts? Vote in the poll, and leave your comments folks!

I felt exactly the same when I bought my 3T, I'm using it without any screen protector. Now it has been 5 months since I got it and it's in perfect condition, no scratch at all, etc. The screen can for sure handle some coins or keys in a pocket without any protection.

Been using mine without a screen protector for around 5 months now. Not a single scratch.
I didn't like how bouncy the original screen guard was so i replaced it with a curved, full cover one. But i didn't like the dotmatrix bull**** so i got rid of it.
I actually don't need a screen guard or a case since i almost never drop anything.
EDIT: I also don't put anything other than my phone and maybe tissues in my pocket.
I used the Orzly Screen protector for about Two weeks in December when I first got the phone. Hated it so threw it away and went without one ever since. I use a Spigen Rugged Armor case and that is it. No nicks or scratches so far. I keep it in a pocket by itself all of the time. I remember dropping it twice but it landed on the corners both times and didn't even damage the case..
I tried Orzly V2 but the rainbow effect in the screen was a s**t... So, i tried the rhinoshield: id does not cover all the screen (1 millimeter on the left and 1 mm on the right) but for the moment is the best protector I've ever seen.
I've been using my phone without a screen protector since I've had it and the only way you can see any tiny little surface scratches is with a head torch on and scrutinising the screen surface. As another member has mentioned, I have been using just a Spigen rugged armour case and that's it. The screen won't get badly scratched if you are careful enough, I'll happily accept some light scratches just as part of the wear and tear process.
I have from today started trying an orzly glass screen protector purely because I have fitted a new phone holder bag thing to my road bike and I feel I mike get scratches on the screen through taking it in and out. The orzly isn't bad, especially for the money, but I can see why people don't like it.
Once a screen protector shows its first bubble i remove it. Annoying otherwise. Screen protectors are just worthless to me. Dont expose your phone screen to anything other than your pocket or finger. Get a case with a lip lift so settings your phone down sets it on its case not the screen. Screen protectors are mostly plastic anyway so you get that nasty plastic feel aside from the feel of a touchscreen panel. The feel of using a touchscreen alone is enough to not want the screen protector for me.

Glad i could help. Last time i used a screen protector it was ruined rifht when i put it on. The reason gorilla Glass exists is to prevents scuff and scratches. Screen protectors give it unnecessary help. Its already protecting against shattering and scratches. If you are scratching the screen with normal use then cut your fingernails. Or take the acrylics off, theyre ridiculous anyway.
I'm without any screen protector as well.
As mentioned the only scratches I see are those tiny ones which can be only seen under direct sunlight or under torch and on specific angle.
My heart stopped one day when I dropped my phone straight onto marble, was already searching for rs10000 but the screen fell flat and absorbed the impact, there was not even a scratch on the screen.
Been using from a month without screen protector or back cover, just a skin.
Going pretty well till now, specially when you put sky blue wallpaper with naked screen it shines quite unique.
Maybe you could try.
I've never been a fan of screen protectors. My phone screen is bare and still is as good as new.

Actually it fell exactly parallel to the floor, if it was tilted even a few degrees, screen would have cracked.
Yeah lucky me
I use mine without a screen protector and case. I use a dbrand skin black/red to cover the back and not get a y scratches. For the screen it doesn't have a scratch since I got it. Whenever I put a screen protector or tempered glass, the screen gets blurry and/or not clear.
