just a small question, what's the difference between the thread "Original Android Development" and "Android Development"?
i think original android development is like true build of roms like miui cm9 aosp etc. whereas android development is just a copy and paste with the ops own edits
oh ok, thanks , that makes sense
Harce will tell you

I'm going to try to port a ROM from the one V Android Development and I was wondering whats the other steps than just replacing system files
I read this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24021776&postcount=3
why do you want to do that, there's already 3 threads in development section, most active ones. Instead latest MIUI rom would be nice. Goodluck anyway5
Hi,
What is the difference android development and original android development?
Which should I choose?
Android development contains roms and kernels based on touchwiz. They are generally made by editing stock rom.
Original development contains roms and other stuff made from source code. Where one has to make everything from the source.

original android development = awesome kernels and roms
android development = customized + more awesome roms
This maybe a stupid question but back in the day the development threads were only one. There were no "original" development section, I'm wondering when did this happen and what's the difference between either thread? (Same thing with my previous phone the gnex) Thanks.
As far as I can tell, "original" section is for ROMs created entirely by the devs based on the official Android sources.
The "regular" dev section is for cooked ROMs based on existing ROMs like Samsung's releases.

Ahh that makes sense the original section is all AOSP and the other is based off Samsung GS3 official builds.
Hello everyone,
I've just bought an HTC One X and I'm ready to root it and put a new custom rom but I've noticed that there are two section for the development of this phone: One X Original Android Development and One X Android Development
Could someone explain me the difference between the two so I know which one is the section I should look at?
Thanks,
Davide
Android development contains most Sense ROMs. Everything close to stock will be there.
Original development contains AOSP ROMs, and also Sense ROM(s) which are considered "extraordinary development".
See the stickies of both sections for more info.

Hello everyone
Can someone tell me the different between android development & original android development threads of htc one x!?
Please reply
Thanx
Regars
android development=SENSE base roms development
original android development=AOSP base roms development
Not entirely true, Viper X is a sense based rom !
It's more about source and what they coded into it.
Like the viper X has the self made from scratch tweaks app (not HTC based)
so the original one is more to be based on htc's stuff
thanx guys 4 replys
regaaards
No the original dev thread is more based on Google code, or roms that have been heavilly modified with self developed codes
