Panorama mode to increase camera resolution - HTC One V

Is there an app that uses stitching from the panorama function to create higher res images? I was thinking something like moving the phone in a small circle (in a parallel plane to the image), then the app uses the overlaped images to create a single new one with a higher resolution? I know there are apps that "increase the mp" of your camera, but it's just copying and pasting pixels for the most part.

[Q] Desire camera Tweak...!

i dont know if any of you have noticed or not ,,desire camera quality is not as good as Samsung galaxy s or any other 5mp camera phones....!!
-so if there is any tweaks for camera settings ,please let me know
-thank you
Use Vignette or Camera 360. Makes a huge difference.
both vignette and camera 360 are great but wont allow you to adjust the camera image processing settings
i'm getting excellent results with the HTC camera
first and foremost lower the sharpness in settings to -2, this will disable all the heavy edge sharpness and noise suppression applied by default and you will get proper photographic quality, this way you can leave adjustments like sharpness (if needed) to other apps like photoshop or picsay, i also raise the saturation to +1 for more vibrancy
you need to set the compression quality to high, i leave everything else to auto, except metering set to center area and of course highest resolution choose 4x3 aspect ratio if you want full mega pixels
one final thing in auto the htc camera chooses the lowest possible iso and hence a little sensitive to movement try to be still for a second when you shoot a photo
as for video recording 800x480 preforms great in good lighting it gets you 25fps, 720p gets around 20fps, unfortunately at low lighting the recording frame rate drops
camera performance is also improved when you are using a2sd (if rooted)
it could be the cheap crappy plastic cover over the camera lens causing your trouble, I removed mine ages ago (replaced it with a cut up screen saver) and it was like removing a cataract from my eye...!

[Q] 3:2 camera picture size

I'm missing the common 3:2 picture size in the camera settings of my Desire HD. There's only 4:3 and 5:3. How can I get it? Thx.

As a hobby photographer, I would much rather 3:2, I'm used to that as that was the aspect my Hero used and obviously my DSLR too.
Going to 5:3 over 4:3 just crops the bottom off the photo, so you could just do that on your PC after you've taken it. Create a batch job in Photoshop to do it or something.
I doubt the built in camera up will ever be able to do it if it doesn't now.
I'm using the Camera360 app now - you can set various formats.
the sensor is 4:3. setting it to 3:2 would just crop it.

[Req]High res gallery

Maybe someone can make a similar mod that is specific to the SGS2, A gallery that shows higher resolution images, allows more detail in zoom and gives an over all better+sharper image
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752007
Not sure if this applies to our SGS2 - I can easily view my Canon 5D and 7D images with no lag - they are 19mp and 21mp images respectfully. When I zoom in, I see just as much detail as when I zoom in on my windows PC....
The auto sharpening already makes all the images pretty crisp on the screen. Not sure why u need anything else - SGS2 Screen resolution = 800x480 my pix with DSLR are 5000x3000 so, kinda no point no?
Anywho, I could be wrong, but I think this mod is not needed.
(Unless it effects the TV-HDMI out?
Looking at the same picture and having the high res gallery mod on the SGS1, it goves more detail in both zoomed and standard view, the andriod gallery limits the resolution on the images, has nothing to do with the screen at 480x800.
Looking at a 5000x3000 image on the PC gives better zoom detail than on the phone.

[Q] Camera apps with auto ISO while using fixed shutter speed

With both the stock camera app and Camera FV5, it seems like if I want to fix either the shutter speed or ISO, the app would force me to manually pick the value for the other as well. I just want to be able to pick a high enough ISO or fast enough shutter speed so that when I take pictures of my kids, they won't be all blurry. Tinkering with both ISO and shutter speed myself usually isn't an option when taking pictures of them because they rarely stop for my photos (I would have missed the moment I want to capture by the time I get the settings right). Is there an app that can automatically set one of ISO or shutter speed when I have the other value fixed? This seems like a no brainer but not sure why none of the apps I have implements this. If the app can figure out all the values when it's on auto everything, taking out one of the variables should just make it easier to do the math.
Pro shot is capable of this, you can have two custom settings with, for example, shutter=1/100s and the other with shutter=1/30s and auto iso

General Crap camera UI rant

Camera app is not intuitive at all. If I set video recorder to 4k60fps I can't use 0.6mm lens. I have to manually disable and lower to 4k30fps to be able to select the 0.6mm lens again. OnePlus, just let me choose the lens and then you automatically disable that for me if the lens doesn't support it.
Another example of this is when you enable Hi Res photo and i only have 0.6x and 1x and because the 2x is not capable of hi Res, it's disabled. Then again I have to manually disable hi Res to be able to use 2x. Instead again, all lens should be present and if 2x doesn't support hires, then manually disable that for me and take a normal picture
