Pure breeze launcher by Samsung? - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Anyone tried this launcher available in the market? Seemed very laggy for me and most widget sizes are not supported.

Used it for a bit once, sucked major monkey balls .

Any recommendations for a good clock widget? Something preferably with clock shadow for light backgrounds

I personally use "beautiful widgets" it does cost money but there is a reason it has sold over 1million copies.
Simiclock or HD widgets are also good but beautiful widgets is my favorite.

I've always enjoyed these from Bernie66. He does great work and these work very well with the SGSIII.

I have been using "One More Clock Free" from the google play store. It has a bunch to choose from and it will download additional clocks if you let it.
Found exactly what I wanted with digi clock widget on play store very customizable

Ultimate Custom Clock Widget
It doesn't get any better than that. It's not just a clock widget. It really is one of the best apps I have ever used.
I've got mine using the 2 best and customized ones I've found (IMHO) : Minimalist Text (bottom part) and
AdvancedClock Pro (top) - overlapped them in Adw.

Beautiful Widgets and HD Widgets.
I was using HD Widgets for a few months then I started playing with Beautiful widgets and download skins and I think it's a bit better now, I love it.
Typoclock was made by a board member. Seen here on top. Apk can be found by searching xda

Android Weather
Beweather actually can use beutifull widgets skins as well as its own, it's a toss up between those 2 for me, both have free versions.

Oops, HD Widgets was on sale at Play yesterday for $0.25. It's gone now. I bought it and liked it.

Everyone check out BobClockD3. It's a very modern looking digital clock with custom color options. My favorite and only clock widget I use.

this is different launcher. thank you :good:
I've used it for a bit when I was still on the stock ROM. It takes some work to make it 'yours', but it's a wonderful and very flexible launcher. A very different approach from the usual grid-based ones. The only downside is the Contacts tab, which keeps reloading people's pictures when you scroll around. I'm sure there's valid (memory and speed related) reasons for it, but still.
Currently using the default launcher that came with CM9, but ssLauncher is defo on my "keep an eye on and maybe get back to it later" list.
U r right man

None stock launcher question?

Is anyone using a different launcher? What S pen features work and what do you lose....?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I'm using Apex, haven't lost a thing.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Using Nova, no loss at all.
Using Nova, everything works. The only thing I can note is that the S Pen app doesn't automatically launch after removing the pen any longer. Not sure if that can be restored, but I have not investigated that since I actually like it better this way.
Apex. Only loss is when the Spen is removed the Page Buddy doesnt open automatically and the Spen icon is not displayed in the status bar.

So Apex and Nova, you lose certain S Pen features. And I believe multiview will not work with 3rd party launchers as well.

Incorrect...multiview works perfectly on Nova and I would assume for Apex as well. Pagebuddy doesn't open on 3rd party launchers, but all the apps within Pagebuddy work fine, you just have to open them individually instead of the page automatically opening. No big deal and the advantages of the launchers far outweight that one negative. In my opinion anyway.

That's a shame to hear that Page buddy gets broken.

Just put the s pen widget on a screen and problem solved
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Totally agree while page buddy doesnt pop up automatically all the functionality is there just put Snote on your desktop and its ready to go. The Soen itself works fine under these launchers

Same thing with Holo. Another mildly annoying thing with Holo is that the exposé-like animation (which shows all your screens and allows you to switch to any one of them without cycling) is slow and choppy.

In my experience nova and apex aren't as smooth as the stock touchwhiz launcher is on this phone. Not saying they are laggy or anything but it is noticeable. I have the paid versions of nova and apex because in general I prefer them, but I've been using touchwhiz with 4x5 mod and perseus kernel and loving it.

TW on this phone is the first stock launcher that I would consider as smooth as Nova...however, the lack of scrolling dock kills it for me. If TW had that, I would definitely stick with it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I could live with out the scrolling dock, I just want a fully customizable dock..... But still want s pen features... I'm sure there will be ROMs to fix this...

I doubt it since you lose no s pen features with Apex or Nova...those are the two launchers most used by devs when making ROMs.

It works fine for me using The Hybrid ROM. I haven't experienced any trouble with it at all
I'm loving Apex! Everything seems to work fine so far. But why can't I re-size my icons in Apex, even though the option to re-size any icon is selected?

Note 2 blinkfeed

Just wondering, is their any way by which I can get the HTC one interface like blinkfeed on my note 2...

Rapture is not exactly what Iam looking for.... Its a widget..
I guess some launcher can do the trick.. Something close to flipboard.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I had blink feed on my HTC One and that's what it is, a widget. The closest I was able to come to replicating that on my note 2 was Taptu.
Let me know if you find anything that is closer to it.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
maybe Pure News widget. I use this, the biggest one on my whole 1home screen. Its almost the same, but without pictures.
For now, and probably won't be sorted for a while, BlinkFeed relies on HTC's framework for it to work. Therefore it's not possible. The closest you'd probably be able to get would be using multiple UCCW widgets.

So what kinds of Launcher's you guys using? My personal favorite has always been Holo Launcher Hd. Great launcher with tons of options. And I love the landscape home.

I never tried anything else because I was always so happy with Holo. But I might try nova now. Great to hear other options.

Next Launcher. You can actually score it free on Facebook too cause they post betas before they do a new release.
SS launcher was on Nova launcher for years and switched to this cause the scrolling up and down instead of pages. But also has pages. Great launcher

I've bounced between Nova and Apex, but Nova mainly.
Both are pretty slick and both also put some effort into the notification side of things. I am accustomed to the bubble notifications and bothe Apex and Nova has them with support for Samsung Mail as well as Google Voice. Nova also supports MissedIt! which gives you bubble notifications for just about anything that puts a notification on the top status bar.
I wish more of these launchers would put more effort into the notification side.
Smart Launcher is where its at for me
Before they release an update the Go team releases a beta on Facebook that is fully functional. I purchased this launcher when it first was released but now you can pretty much get it for free. I think you will like it.
