I've been using MIUI v4 ICS for about 2 months, and Netflix seems to play audio for about 2 seconds with no video, then stops completely. Going forward or backward in the video doesn't do anything to fix it.
I flashed cm9 recently and the same exact issue occurs.
I've tried using the newest hwa from incredikernel as well, and that doesn't seem to help. I've wiped data/cache a few times with clean installs and the problem remains.
Youtube plays just fine, however.
Anyone have anything else I can try to get this to work?

I'm running Cyanogen 6.1.1. Everything has been fine until today. Everything works fine except for when i open the music play which just completely bogs down the whole phone down to the point I have to restart or pull the battery. I remember having this issue before but that was with my Mytouch Slide on a sense rom. I just flashed another rom and it started working fine. I'm trying to avoid doing that. Does anyone know what's going on?
no one's had this problem?
Hello guys,
I flashed CM7 onto my DINC, and of course I cleared cache, firmware, data and everything before actually doing it.
After it came up, I began installing you tube app and such.
When I played video on it, any video played looked weird like it backtracked each second, like whatever image it played, it played it again 1 second of it and then moved on.
Very weird issue if you ask me, so I thought it was the youtube app or something, but then when I shot a video then showed it to my friends, same thing happened. So it looks like any video played on my DINC after flashing CM7, seems to be playing very bad.
Any ideas?
Running a 2.15 radio?
Yes sir, I am running a 2.15 radio. Is that bad?
Nope, it's mandatory. Which kernel, governor, and clock speeds are you running?
Allright:
Kernel: 2.6.38.8 incredikernel
Governor and clock speed: haven't changed them since I flashed this and ROM together. I also installed incredicontrol.
Would you like to do me some video recording showing exactly the lagging problem?
I may just backup everything tonight and reflash, see if that solves the problem, though I highly doubt it due to the clean flash and just starting to have that problem.
Anyone else running ICS have an issue with Crackle?
I can't figure it out...
Reinstalled Crackle several times. Also reinstalled Adobe Flash. Both programs are the latest version from Play. I wiped cache, repaired permissions, etc. No dice. The application starts, but everytime I try to play a movie, the screen goes white for a second then is replaced by a blank screen. No video and no audio.
FWIW, Netflix streams just fine and Flash video works ok when using the browser or YouTube applications.
I believe Crackle worked just fine with GB but I can't recall now. Not a huge deal if I can't get it working, but it would be nice if I could.
Any suggestions?
Mine is working just fine

I too have this issue, and have not figured out what is causing it yet. Yes, Crackle does work fine with GB. However, I was thinking, but might be wrong, but it could have something to do with the Kernel version. The only reason I was thinking that is that I have stumbled across where you cannot install Crackle on a FF18 Kernel. It is just a thought.
I'm watching Crackle now! Did you factory reset after you upgraded to ICS? Install all your apps fresh from the market?

Yes, factory reset and the whole 9 yards. I downgraded to GB from a nandroid backup that I had and Crackle worked again.
I had the same problem but I just fixed it a few minutes ago. Go to the Play Store and install Adobe Air. That's it.
I did that and then opened Crackle and it works now!

Hey guys,
So just a little background: Running PA 2.53 on Trinity 63
The problem: Sometimes I'll try and play a video, on youtube, locally, basically anywhere and the phone just won't. It'll sit there loading then when I hit back the app FCs. A restart will fix the issue until I run into it again, at which point I have to reboot again.
Extra: This isn't exclusive to my configuration. I've had the same issue since I got the phone (before root and rom). The issue persisted on PA with the included kernel as it does with the Trinity kernel. I like PA though and would like to stick with that. I don't know if this is related, but when this happens my face unlock also stops working (loads for a second then flips to the pattern grid)
So, folks, has anyone heard of anything like this? I don't think it's a hardware issue since a restart usually clears it up, but it's really frustrating (and embarassing when I want to show someone a video I literally just took) Any suggestions on how to fix it?
I had the same issue. Uninstalling VLC beta solved it. I don't know if you have a third app video player installed, but you might want to try that.

Only QuickPic. I just uninstalled it now and am seeing if it makes any difference, doubt it will since it's not a video player with its own codecs like VLC.
Bump, other opinions?
I have found a similar issue on another site that outlines the exact problem I'm having, seems many are having them since Jelly Bean. Factory Resets don't help.

bump bump.
Hello.
In Alpha 1 and now also in Alpha 2 I can't get YouTube playback to work.
It'll either go into a loop where it refreshes the video again and again or just throw a "There was a problem while playing" error as soon as it tries to play it.
With other roms (CM12, AOSP) it worked just fine.
The funny thing is - the ads before videos play just fine they did, suddenly they don't
(For the record, I've disabled all ad-blockers and xposed modules and the problem persists, they're left disabled for the meantime until I solve this issue).
Has anyone encountered this?
Is there any other data I should supply in order to perhaps solve this?
Thank you!
I've got the same problem, using PA GAPPS and no other addons.
It would seem I have the same problem on my HTC One M8, with the latest PA stable version installed. In addition, sometimes the video will play, but only the sound.
