Nandroid backup - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Is there a way to delete some of the backups that you have made in nandroid?

defiantly go into your sd card with astro or any file management app and look for a Clockworkmod folder. there's a back up sub folder. you can delete from there which one you dont want or need anymore,

Looking for some Nandroid help...

I am trying to see if there exist a program for nandroid that allows you to navigate through and delete nandroid backups and such.
Root explorer?

I dont know about an app that can do that but you can always plug your phone into a computer and manage the "nandroid" file on the SD card that way..
EDIT: If you've made the backups with ClockworkMod then you can manage them inside ROM manager...
The only way to do this from recovery, is to select the USB-MS toggle feature and delete the files from your SDCard folder under nandroid.
A nandroid is only a folder in a directory. So use what ever method you prefer to use when dealing with folders.
If you're asking maybe you should consider archiving them on a computer rather than deleting?
answer to the OP, yes its called a file browser.
estrongs, astro, root watever one u want to use.
Thank you
Now I feel ridiculous that I didn't know that. Oh well, I guess you never stop learning....
Once again, thank you all.

[Q] need some space

ive done back up with both amon_ra and clockwork... i found the nand. folder to delete back ups.. and found the clockwork folder but cant find where to delete back ups?
I don't know from experience, but I believe someone said that the ClockworkMod backups were in the "backups" folder inside the Clockwork folder on your SD card. I don't know if the file structure is the same. For Amon Ra, you open the nandroid folder and inside there is a folder with your serial number. You should only have one folder unless you have backups from multiple phones. The individual backups are in individual folders in there, named by date. I move all but the most recent to my computer & delete them. If you're specifically using Amon Ra now, you can probably just delete the entire Clockwork folder. Of course if you want to save them then move them to your computer.

You can use root explorer (paid) or estrongs file explorer(free)
You can't delete them from recovery.
Edit: Well you can if you mount the card through usb while in recovery. Then you could delete it from your computer.

Deleting Old Backups

How do I delete old backups because they have blobs and I don't know which one is from my old backup? I think I delete the folder then go into CWM and free up unused space?
If by old backups you mean nandroids made with CWM then open a file explorer and go to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup and you will see a list of backups.....just delete the ones you don't want.
P.S. you can also rename them here....don't use spaces as then they won't show up, or show up as corrupted when/if you try to restore them.

I was wondering about the deletion of blobs though because some of the blobs will become unable once i delete the backup and take up my space.

[Q] Can't find clockworkmod folder on phone to delete backups

I have few useless backups that just take up my free space and I want to removed them, but I can't find clockworkmod folder on sdcard anymore, but it used to be there. Also when I load up recovery and go to restore, I can clearly see all backups I have made. How can I make clockworkdmod folder visible?

I haven't used clockworkmod in a while, but I believe you should be able to delete the backups from within recovery! For sure that's how i do it in TWRP.
/data/media/clockworkmod
Use a root Explorer like ES explorer, and check in /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod
You might find a few old backups.
This usually happens if you change recoveries.

[Q] How to delete an nandroid backup (CWM)

hye,
I have created several nandroid backup using CWM. I would like to delete one or two of that backup, but can't find where it is located.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
On your SD card, there should be a folder called clocworkmod. look inside there and find a folder marked backup. There will be some date stamped folders in there. Just delete the folder.
If you have ROM manager, you can use it to delete backups too.
sent from here to there... on this phone running a rom
