So, I have been running Calkulin's ROMs forever... I've stuck to GB because it was the most stable (at the time), I recently decided to try ICS, but EVERY ICS ROM I've tried, and every ICS modem I've tried, I've run into the SAME issue..
I get crappy service, where I had 3-4 bars before, I'm now getting 1 or roaming... If I reset the phone, it magically works again, displaying the 3-4 bars I had previously..
I've checked all my settings, and tried multiple ROMs, and all exhibit the same issues.. I've tried FF11 and FF18 and the issue still persists.
And..Pandora doesn't work.... It'll stick on loading, or buffer to 2% and hang, then switch to the next song, and repeat the cycle... But only when on 3G/4G, if I'm on wi-fi, it works perfectly...
If I had to take a guess, it would appear modem related (all data/signal issues), but no one else seems to be having the same issues as I.
Thought? Suggestions?
After more tinkering, FE21 + FE21 agat kernel + Pandora 1.5.15 seems to have fixed all the issues....
I'd still like some input though.
Pandora works fine for me on ICS, same with the modems, not sure what the problem might be, just saying it works

I'm having the exact same problem on my Nexus S 4G, as of last Friday.
Running latest CM9 nightly with default CM9 kernel.
Only way it will stream is over wifi.
Will try loading an older version of Pandora and see if that helps.
I'm getting nowhere with Pandora...
Still unable to stream anything unless i'm on wifi.
Have wiped everything and even installed stock ICS rom for my Nexus S.
Oddly enough it works if I go back go Gingerbread...
So it was just a kernel / app version issue for you?
Think the sprint multimedia proxies have anything to do with it? My evo shift did the same thing stock until I zeroed them out.
I'm using an old modded version of Pandora. Today I discovered that if I'm running airblock (airpush ad blocker) that the cover art doesn't display and sometimes the loudness levels of songs differ greatly. I disabled the blocker and everything worked as it should. I don't know if Pandora and airpush are using the same servers or ports but there seems like there might be some correlation between them.
Running Blu Kuban based on ICS on my E4GT and pandora runs flawlessly. Don't know if that is a source of help or aggravation.

Thank you!!!
I disabled AdAway and now Pandora works...
Now the trick is figuring out what I need to exclude from my hosts file to prevent it from breaking Pandora.
I'm running VeNuM's own Boa + FF18 kernel/modem. Earlier today while sitting in my car in the parking lot of WalMart I downloaded and used Pandora for the very first time to test out my new portable rechargeable Bluetooth stereo speaker from iHome (which sounds great for a little $60 speaker). Pandora worked without a hitch and sound was flawless.
I have AdAway on my phone (running PH's ICS atm) and have never had issues with Pandora. Amazon's streaming, otoh, has been a complete pain and almost unusable.

and of course today it is broken again
Tried changing the multimedia proxies also, still no go.
Wednesday and today, pandora was really running like ****. Sounds like they need an enema for their internet pipes.

That sounds like proxy blocking (if there is such a thing). Works on everything but 3/4g

Pandora works on wifi and 4g but not on 3g on any ICS rom. It does work on stock el29 on 3g though. I've tried installing a couple of stock leaked ICS and only installed pandora and it still doesnt work on 3g. I'd go back to el29 but i really dont like it. I found a modified pandora apk that is v1.5.15 and it has the same issues so i dont think its the newer version that is causing the issue. If there is anything else i can try, i would greatly appeciate it.
Downloading 1.5.10 worked for me

I am also having the same issue's that everyone else is having. But, I would like to add that I can confirm that when Pandora was on EL29, it worked flawlessly. Not so much now.
I'm using Adaway as well, no problems here with Pandora on 3G. Maybe try Adaway?
Using 1.6 on stock FF18 deodexed rom with FF18 modem and Agat's 0.2.1 kernel. Haven't had any issues with it so far.

I have a d2tmo GS3 and been running CM10 nightlys. It is alright but I sometimes have BT trouble between the phone and the car and so I am looking to see if there is another ROM that will work better for me.
I am mainly looking for a relatively vanilla JB ROM. Don't need or care to much about fancy stuff. Its ok if it has extra features as long as they don't cause problems. More than anything else, I want a stable ROM that works correctly.
There are two problems I am having with BT.
The first is that the phone does not always auto connect for music with my car. It used to also have trouble connecting for phone, but a recent nightly build seems to have fixed that.
The second is that when it does connect, it automatically starts playing a random file (it did this with the stock ROM as well). For some reason my Nexus S didn't do this with either ICS or JB vanilla Android. My understanding is that this is cause the phone is getting an autoplay signal from the car. I am hoping there is an Android version that can be set to ignore this request.
Frosty.

Just to be clear, when I say "vanilla JB" I mean JB like google intended, not neccesarilty GS3 stock rom.

Does Frosty allow your phone to ignore BT autoplay requests?
Wicked

Frosty or Wicked. Both have been very stable for me.
Frosty is incredible give it a shot.
Anyone noticing they are having a problem with creating a station on pandora? When ever I do it I get a quick flash to the add station section then nothing happens. No keyboard pops up. Its like I never clicked the create station button. It just goes right back to my station list.
Im on the AT&T GS3. Rooted. Android 4.2.1 CyanogenMod 10.1 Jan 16 build. Stock kernal. I haven't updated because of ongoing bluetooth problems (A2DP).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes i have that problem also and i think a few others too. I had it while running jellybam and have it on rootbox so i'm not sure what the source of the problem is.
I think its due to Pandora not being fully updated to 4.2.1.
This problem doesn't happen with Pandora 4.0. I downgraded, and am having less issues.
Just did it on Pandora v4.1.2. No problems here. Running latest AOKP and KT747.
So I've tried every custom ROM for my E973 and I've noticed something odd. The ROMs built using the team LGOG tree seem to have an issue initializing bluetooth. It takes about 6-7 sec for bluetooth to come on, and android beam file transfer doesn't work. On the other hand, with Paulicat's AOKP and dvhexer's CM 10.1, bluetooth initializes within a second or two and android beam works fine. Is this down to drivers or some other difference in the bluetooth implementation? Would it be possible to create a flashable zip to apply to the ROMs with slow bluetooth to make it faster/more stable?

man, Still haven't had a response.
For what it's worth, I'm in the same boat as you. AOKP and AOSP will work everytime. Everything else won't work as well as stock. I got nothing to report that fixes bluetooth. If you find out why, let me know.
I use bluetooth a lot.

Try dvhexer's cm 10.2
I was the kind of guy who want to try some of the new version for this phone...
One issue I saw on each version except the original from bell is ... the bluetooth is not always working propely... not sure if @tdm can see the difference between v20f and cm bluetooth but since i'm back with this one i don't have to fight to have it connected to my car radio!
Anyone else having issue like mine??

Even the stock Gingerbread firmware wouldn't work with bluetooth keyboards (the stock ICS just cops out and has a message pop up that says that the phone is not compatible with bluetooth keyboards!). I found that only Cyanogenmod 9 RC1 and RC2, and Cyanogenmod 10.1.x stable builds work with bluetooth keyboards. Try Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and see if that fixes the bluetooth problem.

I have also experienced no bluetooth issues with Mokee 02072014 release version. Very reliable, bluetooth works like stock, no BSODs or reboot problems, and best of all its Kit kat.

I should try that version.
HoNo!'s almost-stock V20F and Sphinx 4.1 are the ones I found to have a reliable BT connection to FORD Sync, automatic connection. Everything else I tried I have to manually connect it and sometimes I have to do it 3-4 times to get connected with the exception of Carbon ROM which is pretty much 1 shot and it would be connected. I wouldn't even care for BT if it is not for the cellphone use bylaw in our town.
