I've been recently getting a maximum of 3mb/s download speed on the Bell network in Canada with my location being sadly HSPA+ Max 21mbps.
Is this an issue with the carrier, my location or is it problems with the CM10 ROM?

On cm roms 3G=3G H=HSPA or atts"4G" and 4G=LTE I know it says your area is 21+ mbps hspa+ but I have never seen anybody on hspa+ get over 10+ mbps, tmobiles hspa+ is a lot faster with speeds of 12-21 depending on area. Most likely your provider lied, you can get "theoretical" speeds of 21mbps on att hspa, but I have never seen anyone get past 10 mbps

See if your apn is the same as it was on stock. On at&t at least my speeds were slower til I noticed a non lye apn was in use. Even though I don't have lte the lte nearly doubled my h+ speeds.

Well, the Nexus doesn't use AT&T's LTE that they are currently setting up across the country, but it does utilize AT&T's HSPA+ network (which they market as 4G, but is much slower than real LTE).
Here are screenshots from the Verge's review of the Galaxy Nexus:

These are speeds in New York city. Remarkably good compared to many other HSPA+ phones.
Damn that's pretty slow....29 for skyrocket on LTE..tmo hspA+ on gs2 is high teens but I wanted to ditch tmo. I'm just torn between devices.
Can get skyrocket for $149...but really wanted nexus.

The Galaxy Nexus is HSPA+, not LTE. You'll get solid speeds but nothing near LTE of course. All depending on your location and a myriad of other factors.

If you want LTE, then your option looks like Verizon when they come out with it. The international GN won't support ATT or Tmo 4G

Well... AT&T's "4G" is HSPA+. They actually make the distinction between "4G" and "4G LTE". T-mo also calls HSPA+ "4G".
So specifically yes, the international Galaxy Nexus Supports AT&T's 4G, and T-mobile's 4G, but not AT&T's 4G LTE.
Can someone post a screenshot of your apn settings, i just switched and am not getting 3g/4g. Where i think i should have hspa its only showing G and it's edge speeds.
Thanks

Ya but I never added that to my Galaxy Nexus lol. I've never touched my APN settings on this. Only on my G2.

I live in indiana, close to cincinnati. I get coverage at home but only 2g. I work in cincinnati and coverage is good there, 4g in most areas 3g in others. Its the best monthly rate i can find ($30/mo for unlimited text, 5gb data and 100 min) but not sure if it's worth having a top of the line phone stick on a 2g network most of the time. Now im on cincinnati bell, it's pretty good. I'll try tmobile out a month before i cancel, see if the saved money is worth the decreased coverage

I wouldn't mind only having 2G at home as whenever I'm there I have WiFi. As long as I have 3G out of the house that's what matters.
Of course its always a cost/benefit analysis. I'm also on the $30 T-Mobile plan and it saves a ton of $$.
My Epic 4g gets pretty good 4g wimax reception around Atlanta. But the 3g is the suck in my neighborhood.
I'm deciding against Sprint and Verizon sgs3. I've read enough complaint articles and blog posts (from the summer) about Sprint's lack of LTE that has me concerned about reupping with them.
Thoughts?
Thanks

I have the s3 and im in wichita falls tx and speeds are blazig fast! WAY faster than 3G even if i only have like 2 bars of 4G. From what I can tell sprint 4G is scarce but when you get it you get it! Im getting almost 3mb/s somedays. nowhere near the advertised 6 but its way better then the 200kb/s on 3G.
While on a call this past morning.

In the Boogie Down?
Change my apn's from epc. to fast. and change my radio from LTE/GSM/WCDMA over to LTE only or LTE/WCDMA?
I'm getting 3 and 4 bars at right around 28Mbps, I was hoping there's someway I could max it up to mid 30's or 40's and 50's. So I was wondering, if changing any of this would do that, or if it'd get progressively faster slowly on it's own since it was apparently released a day or so ago here I take it.
It's real spotty around Atlanta kinda hit or miss really some of the spots I was getting LTE yesterday I'm not getting LTE today.

Yea I noticed throughout the whole day stationary at work, I'd jump back and forth from fully topped out edge/3g to lte I'd stay on edge/3g for about 15 or 20 minutes, then it'd skip back over to lte. Sometimes if I rebooted I'd pick lte back up immediately.
Kennesaw and Acworth here with only 3 bars:

I've got an AT&T Note 2 and am using NoVella, I'm wondering and am curious what speeds other Atlanta Note 2 users are getting, if they're also seeing 28mbps and it hopefully will gradually increase more and more to 50mbps eventually.

I've got a Note II, and I'm in Smyrna, GA. The LTE signal here is intermittent, been on and off since midnight Tuesday. I've gotten as high as 30 Mbps up, 16Mbps down, but not with much consistency. We'll just have to be patient, I suspect, to see where coverage and speeds settle.
LTE is pumping hard in Buckhead.

I'm on T mobile US and mine says 4g lte and all the rest of those. Are you sure you're in a LTE coverage area?
Like international m8 shows hspa or umts and hspa + while the T-Mobile version just shows 4g
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
I don't really know how to explain better but I'll try
My T-Mobile version shows the signal icons of umts and hspa/hspa+ as 4g and LTE as 4glte while the non american HTC one m8 shows as follows
3g for umts
H for hspa
LTE for LTE
Again this is the icon

Did you read response #5 above? Another T-Mobile user is saying they see "4G LTE" for LTE, and "4G" for HSPA+. Pretty sure that is what he is saying, since the AT&T stock icons are similar. And both carriers have touted HSPA+ as "4G" for a long time, especially T-Mob, which took so long to start their LTE deployment.
If your phone is modded, just flash an international based ROM to get the icons: G, E, H, H+, LTE.
That's the only way? I can flash a zip file or something?
