ONe V with singapur rom version - HTC One V

I bought my phone unlocked from amazon, and it came with a singapur/malasia rom version.
This doesn't allow me to change the language to Spanish (I bought this phone for my mom).
Where can i get an HTC ROM with Spanish language as an option?
I don't want any other ROM (CM or any other) because my mom is used to Sense.
Thanks

Directly from heaven
now, do I have to unlock the bootloader and root or since it's an official HTC file there is a way to install it directly?

Well first of all you won't be able to install official HTC rom for different region. So the above thread wont help you much. What you need is to unlock the bootloader and flash custom ROM. You want sense so I recommend to flash this one:
[ROM-PrimoU] [15-July] myONEv RC3.0
And I also recommend to flash Weather_Lockscreen_RC3.0_update.zip and JellyBean-Animations-myONEvRC3.0.zip from hereMyOne addons The first one fixes the size of icons and the second JellyBean like user interface animations.

Well, what I want is the HTC original rom, but with the option to have it in Spanish... That's it.
I've never done this before (changing only ruu)... I've always unlocked bootloader, soff, and then went with cm7 or energy back in the days, and that's why I'm asking
So again, should I only run the exe file? Or treat this a a rom (unlocking bootloader, etc first)?

You can try the ruu but you can only instal ruu for the same region. You can not install stock HTC for different region. So unlock bootloader and install the one I recommended. It will be like stock HTC just a bit better.

Thanks for the help... Where can I find a log about what has been improved with that rom? Just curious.
Btw, I can change the language to Spanish right?

Just check the link. There is a change log and yes you will be able to choose Spanish.

Look at the market morelocale2. This app unlock all languages installed in your phone.

Yeah definitely ARHD. I'm running the new v6 release on my previously-branded 3UK handset and its fantastic. Add the menu button change and its spot on.

i don't think you can flash or run a RUU because only htc s-offed devices can do it...and since the one x is, unfortunately, non s-offed you can't....you should get rooted and unlocked and flash a custom rom which includes arabic language

You dont need to be rooted to use a ruu, any one x can do it.
The problem is you can only use a ruu with the same cid you've got now so that's no use to you

In Nokia (Symbian) devices we can only flash with same or higher version that installed in our device
but we can flash with any product code (responsable for the region where the phone come from so determine the languages in the ROM)
could we do the same with the HTC One X ??
the CID is the product code as I understand ??

Getting rid of branding

Hi all,
sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm a brand new HTC One X owner. I'd like to have the very standard software (ICS in this case) without the branding of T-Mobile. I've bought my phone in Poland (Europe Version).
Any step-by-step tutorials in here? I surely don't want to brick my new phone
not 100% sure on this but think only one way to debrand that is to unlock bootloader and root then install custom rom could be wrong tho

Well, I've got no problem with unlocking the bootloader etc. but I would like to have the normal ICS with HTC's Sense on the phone rather than some cyanogenmod or something along those lines. If anyone can help me out with the needed files and a step-by-step how-to (I'm not dumb when technology is involved, but I have absolutely no contact with the moding scene of Smartphones).

I think ARHD is meant to be pretty close to the standard sense experience. Cyanogen is a good release though, but maybe wait until its more stable on one x?

ARHD is a stock Rom tweaked to make it even better. you will find it much better, that is the only way to remove it, or rooting and flashing another boot animation
Easiest way I found was to unlock bootloader, root then delete all the carrier bloat you don't want and then flash a new bootanimation

Since you still opt for ICS the ARHD is the best alternative choice! Just search the thread on the XDA Developer you'll find it.
I have a T-Mob as well but flashed on CM10 for JellyBean and so far works great!

JB on New Zealand HTC One X

Hi,
I bought an HTC One X from Telecom NZ earlier this week.
I checked my phones CID, and it is TELNZ001. Is this CID compatible with JB ROM's?
Nope. Sorry
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
You will have to wait for Telecom to release their branded version. They have most likely received the base from HTC and will release it when it's ready. You could of course root the phone, so once HTC release the software for unbranded versions sometime later this month, the chefs on here should have a compatible build up within hours! That's what I'm waiting for, even though my phone is unbranded, the CID is HTC_044 which is currently not compatible with the test release!
Considering there is a LIST OF CIDs in the OP of every Sense JB ROM it's not hard to work out for yourself that a branded handset isn't compatible. Seriously, why can't people just READ rather than go straight for the download links...

But I don't get why the sales guy that sold me the phone (who also bought his HTC One X from the store I got mine from) was able to root his One X, and run the CM10 daily ROM's.
Is it possible that he has an older version One X with a different CID?

No, he unlocked his bootloader, rooted his phone and flashed CM10. It's not too hard, there's good guides on the internet (Google it) and if you need any further help you can PM me if you want.
Just FYI: CM10 is NOT a Sense based JB ROM or even close. It is however a Jellybean (4.1.2) based ROM

The CID part only comes in if you want to flash a JB Sense custom ROM. This is because you need to update your HBOOT with a signed (official HTC) zip that checks for your CID, and if it is not on the list it will simply not flash. The HBOOT update is needed for compatability with the new kernel I believe

It doesn't matter what cid you have to use a custom/cm10 Rom, the reason you need a matching cid for the jb/sense roms is you need to update your hboot to run them and the hboot needs a matching cid to flash
EDIT- flozzo beat me to it

You technically can flash ARHD, but no versions higher than 9.7.2 no (9.7.2 is the latest ICS based ARHD)

You can flash ARHD or any other rom which is not a Jellybean based sense rom. The CID is only relevant to change the hboot in order to successfully flash a JB sense rom.
Thanks all for clarifying things for me.
Can anyone let me know when the One X on Telecom NZ upgrades to Jelly Bean?
I really don't want to reinstall to stock rom just to check whether it's upgraded then to find out it's not and have to revert back to present rom.
Or tell me a way to check, emailing Telecom seems to be of no use.
Thanks
I got a private message from member kskendsup saying that Telecom NZ has released the Jelly Bean update for the One X.
Can anyone else confirm this is true?
I have confirmed with HTC and with telecom also that 4.1.1 is indeed out..but there is some prob from their side and they are not accepting it...I am thrashing them as i write this reply...bcoz i called up HTC NZ and they took my IMEI and told me that i was scheduled for an update sometime at the starting of dec...so our CIDs are indeed JB but something wrong with telecom i guess...I have received mail from them and I will include that in my next post here..!!

Anyways here is the mail they sent me which confirms the release
Thank you for contacting Telecom.
We have released the Jelly Bean (4.1.1) Update Last week.
New software is now available for the HTC One X. The update will add Android 4.1.1.
It will provide some feature enhancements, stability to the memory, fixes to CPU hung issue, screen blinking, can't charge, power on/off, etc.
The update will be available through HTC's FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) server. As the files are generally quite large, we suggest to connect via Wi-Fi to a Broadband connection.

without s-off you can not change cid, so you can only install the ruu t-mobile (compatible with your cid)
However, you can unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and rom.
You have two options.
Unlock your bootloader first, and then either:
1. Flash your phone with cooked stock ROM, or
2. Flash any of custom ROMs available
In either case you will lose the provider branding crap.
