ICS and beyond horizontal calibration? - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to do a horizontal calibration on CM9 or any ICS or beyond?

Nope. have to use the tempboot of EL30 or flash a touchwiz rom and calibrate it then restore your nandroid of cm.
Also completely wrong section....

lol sorry man. Seems like the q&a section ignores mod related questions. Or maybe my questions are just dumb. I had an ipv4/ipv6 apn setting question. 0 responses.

I am going to answer my own question with a link incase anyone else has this issue.

Posting a question thread in Development will get you flamed
Intentionally doing so will get you in trouble with the moderators
Please read forum rules before posting
Thanks

Thx for the move.

Also a simple search would haven gotten you your answer
And adding XDA to google search parameters gets you many links
Also in forum rules to search before posting
Your ipv question was only up for a few hours and most users here do not delve into that realm.

Q&A Sub-Forum?

Can we please get a Q&A sub forum? So many questions are asked here every day and have to be moved by a mod. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

I agree. Coming from the fascinate section, the Q&A section really helped to simplify and clean the boards, especially in maintaining the integrity of the Dev section.

Please Ask ROM Specific Questions In The ROM's Thread

I hate having to look in Q&A for questions about a specific rom. If you ask in a ROM's thread then there would be more people with that rom that have more specific answers and experiences.

I agree with this, but until I get to 10 posts I can't reply in the ROM's thread in the Development forum. =(

What's that slim rom?

Saw a slim ICS rom of about 86M in t.c.p's post.Is that rom flashable?
You're seriously posting a thread to ask this?
It took me 10 seconds to google the answer. You should try it sometime.

No one takes this guy seriously. He is a regular troll around here. Just ignore him and he might get out of your thread.

Ok if flaming and pointing out the obvious is what he does then so be it and honestly he usually makes a good point when he does what he does. Also I get it the guy did ask in the right section but honestly this could of been asked in the discussion thread because its exactly that a Discussion thread. But too each his own he can flame and you can let him know about it.... No worries!

Good OC kernel for stock GB rooted with CWM recovery.

I am running stock GB and CWM recovery but am thinking about doing some overclocking without switching ROMs. If anyone has a stable kernel that is reliable let me know. I use same set up on Galaxy tab 10.1 with sock HC & CWM but run pershoots kernel to OC to 1.4ghz. Hoping to find a similar set up for my Galaxy S2 on Sprint.

the q&a thread will probably get you the fastest answer. I can't even remember the gb kernels anymore with so many delicious ice cream sandwich ROMs

Hey O.P. Please ask a mod to move this to the [email protected] section before all the sh#t starts. As to your question..... I'M not sure either.

this has absolutely nothing to do with development---this is a question---which belong in the Q and A section...NOT DEVELOPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes, the last part was on purpose.

ok, so it is in the wrong section... but my answer is not in the wrong thread as you stated. The mods will certainly move or delete this thread when they find it. I don't understand why you would hammer me instead of the OP for the mistake. If the thread gets moved (which it most likely will) why should I not answer the question?
OMG what's going on with all latest questions going on WRONG sections. Smh. BTW check stickies for your answer.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yes, posted a question in wrong section but not exactly the end of the world thank you for anyone who answered and I didn't post on purpose was switching back and forth between dev and q&a so just mistakenly posted to wrong one is all. It will get moved eventually so it's no big deal. Thanks again.

CAN WE MAKE A STICKY? a sgs2 bible

always found it extremely useful in the 4g forums when i had that phone. it always was my first place to look for guidance to the right thread before asking any questions or trying to search through pages of threads.
I would be more than willing to do this myself
Its already a sticky in the general section
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
That's sounds good, but this is the dev thread. Only threads pertaining to ROMS &kernels belong here. The only thing you are going to get by posting here is a private message from a mod or flamed. This served better to be in general or Q&A.

I'm sure if you or someone else were to post a concise "bible" it would almost be an automatic sticky, IMO of course.

oops sry i figured since it pertained to just making one for the development section this would be the place to ask
Well, one thing to consider would be to post this type of question in the appropriate section.

There is a 'ROM Bible', it's called the Development forum. Read it, study it, don't post in it unless you are contributing to Development.
