Hey XDA,
I've been running Jandycane since release and I stumbled across my first problem with it. It does not seem to want to run Blood & Glory. It just crashes after playing the Intro saying it is not responding. I'm curious to see if there is a fix out there for this or if it just needs to be developed into the ROM.
I'm going on a long road trip soon so I figured this would be one of the best games to burn a lot of time
Thanks

Chrome works if you install it on a previous version/ROM then update to the latest jandycane or install Chrome Beta.

Just discovered the Aptoide store todays ago and found Anime World (aka Animania Plus in the Playstore) works great on my S4. I got it so i can watch some shows that I haven't seen in over 10 years. Anyway Anime World v1.0.2 works on the ouya (very tiny picture but works) until I click certain things such as clicking on a video to play. Decided to try Animania Plus v1.0.3 after figuring out how to force the playstore to let me download it to see if the update fixed anything. Instead it does the same thing the first time around when i click on something it crashes but then after that it crashes every time as soon as i open it. I've seen quite a few modded apps on xda so im hoping someone will see this find out whats making it crash on the ouya and see if they cant modify it or find another way around it. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can offer.
I'm trying out Next Launcher 3D trial version and I like what I see. However, I seemed to get into some reboots
and boot loops since I installed it. I'm wondering if it's just me or are there any known problem with it?
I read their facebook page and it seemed to cause some problem on the S4 (bootloops) but I couldn't
find anything related to Note 2 (but that doesn't mean it did not happen).
I'd appreciate all inputs. Thank you very much!

I just tried the trial version on Google Play Store. Not sure if it's any different than the paid version.
Emails sent to the developers and also posted on their Facebook page went unanswered...
(if pre-sale support is that bad, I can imagine how post-sale support looks like )
If you look at their changes log, every single update has this line:
fixed some crashes.
So, yes, it's probably not just you...
I love how it looks and function, but waiting 15-30 seconds several times a day for it to reload because it crashed after unlocking the phone, is unacceptable.
Thanks. Yes I really like how it looks and it's fast. however, if they never responded to questions I can't see how I can give then my money

I got myself a Nexus 7 as an early Christmas present and have been busy setting it up, updating and bringing over all my apps this weekend.
The shine of owning a brand new device quickly wore off when I discovered that pretty much none of my games now work under Kitkat:-
Modern Combat 2 - can't look around, icons all wrong size
Modern Combat 3 - crashes at startup every time
Modern Combat 4 - occasional crashes during multiplayer matches
Nova 2 - crashes at startup
Nova 3 - HUD graphics messed up, can't see ammo counter
Asphalt 6 - aspect ratio messed up
Asphalt 7 - crashes during free spin, random crashes in races
Asphalt 8 - has linked to my account on my old device and keeps telling me my cloud data is out of date
I know that Gameloft do not exactly have high standards of software development, and I know also that they NEVER update their apps properly. So I'm looking for ways to get my game library to work as I play these games regularly with my young son on local multiplayer.
Could I perhaps install a custom ROM in which these games work? perhaps downgrade to JB? does anyone have any ideas?

First off - are you running ART? If you don't know what that is, you probably aren't.
If you're not - then yes, jelly bean would be an option. check out CyanogenMod 10.2 for your N7. Of course, this requires a custom recovery and root, all of which can be done with this handy tool: http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not using ART - but might take a look at it later once I've had it for a bit longer. I'm already rooted and have TWRP courtesy of Wugfresh so I might give cyanogenmod a try. If not cyanogenmod could I perhaps flash a stock JB rom and somehow block it from immediately downloading the update (which is what it did when I first got it)?
Does anyone have any positive reports of better compatibility with JB roms on this device?

Not sure if you can block it from downloading the update, but what you can do is go to all apps, then uncheck notifications for google services framework which will get rid of the update notification.

You can block updates using Autostarts. There is also an app called Fotakill that is supposed to stop updates but I've never used it.
Hey everyone! For the past long while, my galaxy has randomly been having huge lag spikes. Symptoms would be apps crashing, keyboard taking forever to respond, general extreme lag. And the battery would heat up way too much. I did a bunch of looking into the cpu processes, and at the top of the list would be some kworker application or the google search bar on the google now launcher. I have no idea how to fix the issue, and have tried multiple different roms but the problem still exists.
I am currently running a nightly version of carbon. I do have xposed installed if that changes anything. My phone is only 2 years old, and was running smoothly until now. Im worried it could be a hardware issue.
I could really use some help as i use this phone for notes and work in my courses, and any downtime is really bad for me. Ill provide any information necessary. Thank you so much for anyone who can help.

Well I'd say software for the simple fact it is a nightly version of a ROM. I'd suggest waiting for a stable build or getting a more stable overall ROM. I doubt it would be hardware issue, could be just some error in the code of that particular nightly.
Best of luck

Please can you install BetterBatteryStats app and post me a text log ? There's a thread to the app here on XDA. That will tell you how to get a log.
Do please freeze Google Now and replace your launcher. Also turn off Location Service for now.
Dear Forum,
I am having trouble getting Pokémon Go to work on my HTC One m8 running Android version 6.0.1 and the Resurection Remix rom. The app simply refuses to start, instantly minimizing when tapped on and sometimes giving the "unfortunately polemon go has stopped and needs to close" message.
I am thinking the problem is to do with my custom rom. So my question is: Is there a way to make RR compatible with pokemon go? and failing that, are there any similar 6.0.1 roms that are known to work with pokemon go?
Thanks in advance
/FactualOrc
Well i dont know much about your rom but i use dirty unicorns which is on 6.0.1 and pokemon go works fine so check it out and see if you like it.
Maybe even try using rootcloak. I dont use it and pokemon go works fine but i had to use it to work with other nintendo apps so give that a go too

I'm on DU as well (v10.2), and I'm also having this issue. Same thing in YouTube 360 videos, and probably in every other AR-app/game if I were to give them a try. Did an upgrade to the new v10.4 yesterday (didn't wipe, though), no change. Tried to rootcloak it, to no avail. Issue persists.
Seeing a lot of threads pop up about this, so hoping someone might stumble across a solution/workaround.

This is an interesting development because I can run other AR apps seemingly well, I just downloaded an app called 3d augmented reality and it worked.

check to see if you have mock locations enabled, if so turn it off and the game should work

Yeah, might have jumped the gun there a bit. Tested a few AR apps randomly off Play Store, and most is working fine. The only one I got the same issue with was Google Cardboard, of which I was already aware (as stated in this thread).

I never use this, so it's still off by default.
Apparently the nightly CM update 7/17 fixed this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4rnlvg/cant_play_touches_not_recognized_weird_cursor/
I flashed DU 7/22 and the issue persists so I guess they didnt merge the change or whatever... Does anyone how how to fix it on DU?
