uninstall

my queston is... is there a way to.uninstall themes or mods like pulldowns and specific app themes without 100% reinstalling the ROm? like if i install a ics theme without having to reinstall my rom?

that depends on what ROM you're referring to. MIUI...yes, definitely. Others...depends.

I have had no problem with anything EL13 and up by using the modified wipe (no data loss) then re flash the ROM. Pretty simple process to me. Reboot into recovery - run modified wipe - flash rom. Done. Modified wipe zip can be found in many places I'm sure, but I know it's under the blazer rom thread

Easiest way would be to flash a stock rom. Or use Juggernaut. It looks just like stock for the most part.

yeah I don't mean a rom. Im talking about a flashable zip that only changes the theme. ie status bar, dialer, notifications, etc.

Unfortunately there isn't. As far as I know, the only way to go back to stock looking is to flash a rom, which ever one you are using. For instance if you were using jugs, then you flashed some theme, but now you want to go back to stock look, you have to flash the rom again without wiping data. YOU WILL HAVE TO WIPE CACHE THOUGH. Hope that helps.

Some of you may know me from my AOSP+ ROMs and my work with CodeName Android. I have previously made ROMs for the Nexus devices and some others. I had a small break but I am back now. The AT&T Galaxy SIII is one of the devices I will be building for. This is a modified stock ROM for now. Will have AOSP based ROMs soon.

UCALG1 - Modified stock ROM
Kernel - not secure for ADB access plus some other tweaks
Root, Zipalign and deodexed
Removed all bloatware
Replaced Samsung keyboard with AOSP ICS keyboard
Added enhanced reboot menu
International Boot animation and sounds

Install Instructions:
Root and Install Clockwork recovery if you have not done so
Place ROM on either internal or external storage
Up to you to wipe or not, the installer will wipe dalvik cache
Install ROM
Reboot

Thanks...This is stock modified ROM for now. Will have AOSP based ones once I am done building and testing.

Great work man! I've found the wifi disconnect problem that i was having with the other TW Roms is gone and it has had the best over all balance of performance and stability. I am however a fan of AOSP so i look forward to your work, thanks

Can I flash this straight from cm9 with all the usual wipes?? Or do I have to go back to stock first? Thanks in advance...

Yes, wipe /system, /data, /cache, and Dalvik cache and it will install fine.

Will this change my modem to LG1? If it does will that modem still work on my Bell version of this phone? Sorry for all the noob questions but I'm coming from an sgs1 and its a little different going from aosp roms to stock.. and I haven't seen a thread for cwm flashable modems so I'm curious lol

u have CWM recovery installed and any ics rom
download the desired kernel then flash it using cwm recovery, thats all

Do as the developer says , I remember the post stated no wipe needed.

he said NOT to wipe them so don't wipe anythn and if it works well then its great, if it boot loops then just reboot into recovery again and wipe them then reflash kernel and try again

JB ROM flash JB kernel, ICS ROM flash ICS kernel, see the kernel is for what android version properly, DO NOT FLASH ICS KERNEL WITH JB ROM OR NOT YR PHONE WILL NOT BOOT.

each level has its specified kernel
for GB u shall use GB kernel like cow or stock kernels
for ICS u shall use ICS kernel like arcoz cm9 or castagnal or hadi kernels
for JB u shall use JB kernel like arcoz cm10 2.3.6 or 3.0 kernels or forfivo kernels

you're able to flash it and it will boot. but in JB it has different mount point with ICS so your sdcard and external SD possibly won't be mounted or mounted in wrong way. for SlimBean case, i believe it use different ramdisk than usual CM10, because my friend tested it and wifi doesn't work there although i've putted wifi module on the ramdisk

I'm pretty sure it will work on odexed roms. I made the script delete the odex files so it should work.
To flash it just odin el26 cwm kernel, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, flash. You can select the stock kernel so you don't have to do another flash.

UPDATE: I checked the MD5 on the zip from my phone and it does not match. I will copy the file again so it may still work out.
Update: I validated my MD5 is good. Confirmed boot loop with odexed rom.
