The link worked for me, I have the file it is 2mb.
The app works great, you can have your own writting or have it turned to the app's cursive writting which is a better idead for readibility.
For SPanish some words works, most if there is a similar in English gets turned into English.

I have this app, SuperNote from asus, and 7Notes and this one seems to be my favorite, I like 7note because I get the keyboard for all the other apps, that's the only reason why I paid for it.
SuperNote is too small and does not transcribe. Thanks for the great app.

I really wish someone would make an app comparable to NoteTaker HD (ipad app http://www.notetakerhd.com/ ). There are some in the market that are kinda similar, but nothing that functions like it. After a good year of searching for the best handwritten notes app (true handwritten, no conversion, zoom box, auto advance, very very polished), nothing comes close to note taker hd on a tablet. I would glady drop $20, maybe even $50 on an app for android like it. Its the only reason I even bought an ipad, and the only reason I still own one, as having a true digital-handwritten notebook (and a scanner) makes school literally 100x easier...except for books I use NO PAPER...NONE.
And since I know SOMEONE here will flame me...you cannot do this on an android tablet right now, sorry but its just not possible. especially considering I can keep up with the "pen-and-paper" note takers with ease (/w note taker HD).

With this app you can keep your handwriting and convert it later if you wish or leave it liek that. I would like to know if there is a pen that is closer to a ball point pen and does not cost a lot that would work on the N7. Cause the cheap ones with a round rubber that simulate a finger is too think to take good continuous notes.

Yeah, I use my nexus 7 for school, and I'm a Softmor and we take notes a lot, and I was wondering if there was a app, that I could use my stylis to latterly write and it would transfer it to text...so I can print it and put it in my notebook. Thx

Evernote. Hands down best note taking app - will sync to your Evernote account online and all devices you have the Evernote app on will have synced identical data (notes). Virtually impossible to lose your notes unless something happens to your N7 before being able to connect to wifi for syncing

I don't have the same needs as you, and just use Papyrus when I need to take notes, and then manually transcribe stuff after the meeting is over. Google suggests PhatPad may do what you're looking for (handwriting recognition & conversion), but I have no firsthand experience with it.

yea used a plain targus stylus too, nothing fancy. had to explore all the features and play around with the app to really get to know everything it can do.
ive tried supernote on the nexus 7 but without any DPI change the app cut off some of the menu bar. I used supernote all the time when I had the transformer, but i like freenote more now since it has the ability to export multiple pages into a single PDF
Evernote!!
Here's why:
Simple, and easy to use!
Saves into your account when you put it aside!
Full screen, when you're in note-taking mode!
Spell Check, Features work well together (for example, voice recording as you take notes!), no bugs, no crashing
I recommend using a Bluetooth keyboard. It makes note taking with a phone or tablet
so much easier. It's also awesome, and nice to show off. Way better than having a laptop because of less space, and very light.
You can find a good keyboard for about $50.
I think its essential for taking notes
Check out this thread I've installed it and it works great http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526433
There was a note taking app that came with the transformer prime. It does exactly what you asked. It was ASUS bloat so its not on play store, but you could probably get someone to pull the apk.

Tis called supernote the apk is floating around here if not findable pm found it works best in landscape with dpi of <180 but at the moment I'm quite drunk so best not to put too much stock in what I say. Right now I'm engrossed in the life aquatic
So stay cool
Evernote ++ Swype
As silly as it might seem, i can take notes effectively using Evernote and swype in combination. I was a compulsive note taker in my University days but my handwriting was never good and now it's worse than awful. I find with swype I can enter text pretty quickly - probably as fast as handwriting.
I really want to suggest evernote.
Hands down the best way to keep notes. Its search feature easily scrolls through typed and handwritten notes with ease. I think it also somehow scans images for context.
Regardless of how you get it down, make sure it ends up in evernote.
I am an IT Admin with several certs. When I take cert classes through evernote, I can easily find the information when in the field regardless if I'm on my phone, tablet, PC or anything. Really saves me tons of hassle.
Also these tablets aren't good at handwriting with a stylus. You can do it but it is sloppy. You end up with a mess at the end and it sucks.
Get a Bluetooth keyboard if your better with that, or a good virtual keyboard. Create some folders in Evernote specific to a topic or by class. School/Math101/Chapter7, etc

Now all they need to do is add a feature to hold the list in the same place you left it once you've removed an app...

I'm going to risk posting in the wrong forum in the hopes of getting some more attention on this app...MyScript Notes Mobile. I followed the instructions in this thread and am totally blown away by how functional it makes the Note II. This does require root and a custom recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526433
This app vindicates every hope I had for the S Pen. I can scribble a quick note and export the text straight into GTasks, or a host of other apps. I can write page after page and then convert just the parts I want straight into text by circling it. The management of notebooks and pages is simple and intuitive. I liked S Notes OK, but this is in another class.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHHO--XZlqM
The fun part of this is the fact that S Notes is made by the same company that made this app. There is also talk that this app may show up in the Samsung app store before the end of the year, so those of you that are unwilling to root may get a version of this app, too!

Here's a Note2 safe version of the app to flash. The only difference is that the script is modified and rewritten to accommodate the file system of the Note2 as opposed to the Xoom, which it was originally written for. Basically, this version is tested and set up for the Note2 specifically.

Installed fine, but the wheel that you use to convert text is missing. Actually, it is there, I just cannot see it. Also, the first couple of characters are a very heavy pen weight, but then it gets real thin.

It's the same thing in the Xoom version. The only difference here is the script isn't formatting your caches to yaffs.

Which is exactly what got me to patch the apk to remove that check. They should really have filtered it out using the Play Store filters instead if they didn't want tablet users.
Honestly, except for the multiple account support, I do believe that Falcon Pro is a better option..

I questioned them about this and their response was because they wanted to allow "larger phones" the ability to download.
I'm trying both Falcon and Carbon right now. I haven't decided which I prefer. I'm not a huge Twitter user.

Not bad...still prefer tweetdeck.
I designed this app to work on Mobiles, filtering it through Play Store would filter some of the big phones, that was our doubt.
I designed it, and I can tell, that it's an awkward app to be used on a Tablet. I did announce (I'm still not allowed to post links here since I haven't passed 10 posts yet) that we're working on a Tablet app. Check our page on Google+ (+CarbonAndroid)
C'mon guys! Patch an app, jus' like that? And hosting it on Dropbox? Months of work and you guys deal with it just like that? C'mon!

Come on, after months and months of "developing", still no widget, no tablet support? Yes, you say you are working on a tablet app, but considering how long the phone app took, which is no more than a beta, it looks like a heck of a long time to wait for possible vaporware, especially considering the history of this app.

How does this stack up to plume and falcon pro

I agree that it probably doesn't work that well on 10" tablets but the experience on the Nexus 7 in portrait mode is good. Also, I assumed people using the modified app also used your app on their phone in most cases which means that no extra API token is taken up, unlike the included multi-user feature. I patched the app for my personal use but since people requested it I posted it here.
I honestly fail to see what your problem is with this. XDA users post patched APKs all the time to remove arbitrary limitations (Hulu, Netflix and Swype to name a few). If/when you release a tablet app, even a paid one, the interest for this will go away if the experiance is better. I'd be willing to remove the link to the patched APK when you release the tablet version. Until then, this is the only way for tablet users to enjoy your work.
