This is the same as sextape's ROM but it is rooted with busybox added, deodexed and zipaligned. ROM was deodexed with dsixda's Android Kitchen. This is designed for the Boost Mobile version of our phone and is reported to work, HOWEVER:
MMS will not work without correcting the APN
There is no roaming on this ROM and there is no fix at this time
Since the device model is different (SPH-D710BST), some apps - such as Mobile Odin - will not work properly without editing the build.prop
If you're looking for a one-click or TAR for this, check rwilco's thread here.

Yeah I haven't tried it yet but it sounds like it doesn't need much.
Downloading, and how's it running for peeps compared to ff18
what are the install directions for this one? Ive been so spoiled by SFHubs quick installs that ive pretty much forgotten all ive learned about doing anything to these!
Question: If I'm currently a Sprint customer looking to move over to Boost in the near future, can I just flash this and activate the phone on Boost as easy as that one they add the E4GT to their lineup? Or would I still need to mimic a Boost doner phone IMEI and such first?

Flash in recovery basically. I'd probably make a backup too just to be safe. You'll also need to change the APN to make MMS work, I believe there are instructions in the other FG20 threads.

Yeah it works, I posted it. It works wonderful, you can also use an APN modifier I believe but I haven't tested that method. the ##data# method works just great
1. dial ##data#
2. Press edit on pop upand enter MSL code (I recommend "Get my MSL" application if you don't know your MSl.
3. Go down the pop up list to "Others".
4. Click on "MMSC URL" and replace the boost URL with http://mms.sprintpcs.com
5. Reboot device.
This should get it working
Unless you can find a way to by a miracle get boost support to give you a legit Wimax MAC to edit out the sprint one... I'm not sure it will work. I say this because Wimax edits carry on throught wipes and flashes.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This is Calkulin's stock rooted EL13 2.3.6 ROM/Kernel, with Rogue Recovery v1.1.2.
The only modifications I made were adding Rogue Recovery v1.1.2 to Calkulin's ROM, and modified the updater-script to format /data.
I made this for my own personal use, and thought I would share it in case anyone else was interested in it. I'm not trying to get rich and famous, claim anything as my own, or even do anything even remotely amazing or interesting here. If I possibly saved you a couple of minutes by downloading and flashing one .zip instead of two, that is why this is here. I'm not interested in how many people give me thanks or donations or anything like that, I just thought I'd try to put this out there if it might be helpful to anyone.
If your not interested in this, that is fine with me. This really isn't anything special and may not be much help to you. I get that. I'm not interested in cluttering things up with negative posts.

Those are the same files. The multiple links makes sure you can get it downloaded without issues even if some links become hard to use.
Dumb question but is there a path to FF02 via FE22? or all roads to FF02 lead through EL29? Or maybe the answer is "not yet - hold your horses"..........

its cake really just a pain to install it then pull it then make sure everything is right, the deodex it then package it. speaking of, do you have a copy of stock MA7 recovery so i dont have to download the entire tar file on this slow internet connection?
i suppose i'll play nice and get it out for everyone. i should have the kernels, all-in-one and the modem up in a little bit. odex/de-odex roms will have to wait until tomorrow when get home so i can upload them quickly.

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps a lot.
Please go to "settings/more/about device" and check the build number and the baseband version. They should be the same version.
If they are not the same, that is what is causing the "prevention notification" you are getting. Most likely the result of going from a Tmobile Rom to this MetroPCS Rom. They each have different basebands. There are two possible fixes I've read about.
The first is the easiest, just flash the Tmobile rom you were using before. That should take care of the wifi and "prevention notification" and different baseband issues. This means you cant use this rom though.
The second is more time consuming but if you really want to get this metroPCS Rom running this is what you need to do:
Go to this thread Unofficial M919NUVUAMF2 Working!!!! and follow the directions to return the phone back to MetroPCS 100% stock via Odin.
Then install the recovery of your choice, OUDHS, TWRP, CWM, whatever you prefer.
Then flash this Rom again.
Let me know how it works out.

Thanks for your help and you are absolutely correct! Unfortunately there's no radio zip to flash for our phone and I have yet to make one. I'm no dev, I just follow directions reasonably well. I have yet to find a guide to make a flash-able radio zip and honestly, I'm working on something else at the moment, so I haven't really looked. For now, the fix I gave is the only fix for this issue. In the future that will probably change. Thanks again for your assistance
I see a lot of familiar folks here. Nice work Arocker:good:

Hi Robcop,
Tmobile TWRP is what I use too, though there are versions that dont work properly for our phone.
Version 2.5.0.2 is definitely working for our phone.
Why dont you stop by here:
http://androidforums.com/metropcs-galaxy-s4-all-things-root/
Its a place for the MetroPCS S4
Check out the posts, including a thread that walks you through installing a recovery and easy rooting.
I look forward to seeing you there. Say hello when you do.
strange things are happening
I never had this problem before, I have downloaded the zip 4 times thinking I did something wrong with the process as simple as it is .lol
Used the stock my files app to copy the zip to the 64gb external sd card and even this last time I created a couple folders and put it in there although when I boot to recovery and factory reset then chose zip fromexternal sd card its not there and whats weird even more is I see an older file that I have deleted several times back again, its the root_zip I used with odin to originally root the device. Crazy huh I think the sd card must be damaged.
I most likely won't continue support since i'm a canadian g2 person. but i'd like to kick it off for someone that wants to continue..
I need some testers for the Sprint ls980 G2. right now i just have Carbon 4.3 aosp
I don't know if you guys are root yet or have recovery.. but TWRP with loki is what u would need to work properly

This has worked wonderfully for me,
i find that it wont connect to data untill i go into the dialer and enter *#*#DATA#*#* once
so far no bugs that i can tell.......:fingers-crossed:
will report after i take it for a spin.
and do you mind if i post a link for this rom in the Sprint LG G2 Dev section? or maybe have the Mods move it to the right section?
ill se if i can put a request for this thread to be moved, this is great work.
i'm not a dev but i can post a tutorial on how to get it working of the Sprint G2 if you would like
Im eager to try this out by the way does it have rotation issues after trying cm10.2 i have rotation issues
Issues found
Okay been running this for about a week now and this is what I found so far:
-MMS doesn't work, I receive notifications for them but never download
-Wifi and bluetooth are buggy, toggles from the Quick Settings menu tend to get stuck after 2-3 toggles and require a reboot to fix
-Dialer doesn't pick up touches sometimes
-NFC gets stuck in on position and causes massive wakelocks. I ended up disabling NFCService and Tag Service to stop the issues
-Mobile Networks Section has GSM settings in it
-Flash seems disabled in AOSP Camera app
-Rotation issues like other AOSP roms
Besides that though the ROM is surprisingly usable for being one of the few roms available for the Sprint G2, I would definitely like to see your build code since it looks 90% in working condition.
I flashed and it booted and stuck on carbon logo.
Am I missing the gapps file?

usually the culprit of not wiping. its a given that you need to wipe every time you switch roms especially from stock to custom rom.
Just wiped and successfully flashed this ROM... so far awesome!
Still missing a few things that i'm thinking the 4.3.1 Gapps file will fix.. So can anyone provide me the link to download that file??? pleeasse!!

To fix MMS, all the settings are found here to put the correct APN settings to get it up and working. http://buzzmobile.us/sprint-apn-settings-android-us/

Normally I get really ticked off with people saying to Google it, but seriously, it's freaking Gapps....It's literally the easiest thing to find in the entire Android development universe. I Googled 5 letters, and it was the very first thing that came up, or second(if you want goo.im directly).....

Thanks to those that helped me out... I have a new g2 and wanted to install the right file. I have no idea what a gapp file is, let alone what it does. Better be safe than sorry.
Anyhow, the link I provided worked for those that are in my boat.
To the OP, this is a fantastic ROM. Thank you very much.
