For the keyboard issue I would recommend using the android keyboard instead of the samsung one. That keyboard allows you to set the level of auto correct.

Well make sure you are signed in under you google account in the stock browser. if not just sign into gmail or something and it will ask you if u want to auto sign in to browser. If your already signed into the browser then just go to settings>accounts and sync and give ur gmail address a tap and untick and tick back the browser and see if that helps.

Hey guys I need the samsung dive apk, please can someone give it to me? Thank you so much!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
samsung dive apk? . You need to go to accounts & sync in the settings menu, create a samsung account then log into that account via your pc
www.samsungdive.com
I suppose you refer to this: http://download-apk.blogspot.com/2011/10/apk-default-samsung-galaxy-s2.html
Look for all the apk's related to Samsung Dive.
By the way, I read (I think around this forum) it is not possible to install apk's from stock room in AOSP custom roms, so if you have CyanogenMod or MIUI its probably not possible to go back to Samsung Dive. There are other options anyway .
Hope it helps.
I found a simillar app called Lmaxi anti theft.. you might want to check it out..
It has many interesting features such as it runs almost invisible on the phone (the app is only accessible from the dialler), remote lock via sms, HARD RESET PROTECTION (root), etc..
Check below..

Strange ... if one take a look at this applications list of Permissions ... SMS and Location (GPS) are missing. How can this application send SMS and link to map with location without those permissions ???

ok i noticed that.. it probably need a paid version for those features to work.. because the app itself is just an installer not the actual apk, not sure what are the actual permissions it requires..
this one might be better

I found some old threads about this, but the browser does not seem to have the menu options mentioned in them anymore...
I want to share my device with a parent to let them get used to it, but naturally must keep them locked away from my email and such...locking apps is easy enough, but the auto sign in option in browser I cannot find a way to disable beyond removing my account. I see in previous questions there is mention of an option for it under privacy settings in browser, but I do not see it now. I've tried all the immediately available options in settings in the old browser and chrome and see nothing. If there's a way I could disable it in either that would be sufficient!

remove your google account, re-enable it, and some options should pop up, something along the lines of "autosign in into google apps", don't check it.
at least, that's what it asks me everytime i have to factory reset and type into my account.
Didn't work for remove/readd, I'll check for option next wipe I do though and see if that'll work

You just need to sign out from the browser , next time when you'll start the browser it will not auto-sign-in again.
Ah yup that method will work for chrome. That'll give me a workable solution, thanks!

Not that i know.
Yeah, not that I know of either. I've got it to open Pop up browser when I click an email link by default, so you can just do that to get the window open? Not ideal, it'll still do it though.
I would love to know this as well.
I want to set Chrome as the default application, but then if I'm in an app I would want to use the Pop Up Browser. As of right now, every time I click a link and I want to use Chrome it just makes me click again and again and again.... and again.... for each "hand off" for the browser! Arg, so annoying. The things I do to keep the Pop Up Browser option out there!
I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benhirashima.choosebrowser
When you want to use the popup browser, just hit the share button and select they app and you'll get a list of all your browsers, including the pop up one.
Easiest way that I've found.

Every time I come to XDA I have to sign in. This is the only page it happens to. (except the secure pages like banks and credit cards and such) But facebook, android forums and other chat sites work fine. How can I stop this. And yes, the box is checked to keep me signed in.

I think it has to do something with cookies. I set my browser (Firefox) to delete cookies after each session. If I close the browser and get to the site, I have to login again.
If I quit the firefox process using the task manager on Linux, I am signed in.

I use Chrome, I don't remember making changes, but that might have happened over the last upgrade. So I made a few changes myself, and I will see if that helps. But thanks for the idea's.
Am using chrome here too and it also happens with me

Funny, I got here fine. But if I use my bookmark, I will have to logon again. I think it has to do with Chrome.

ha same here
i bookmarked it as well
Same on aosp browser using bookmark.
What's weird is if I open a link in a new window once I'm on xda, that page will be signed in, or after a few pages.
I created new bookmarks but it's the same.
Well, the problem has seem to go away. At least for the last couple days.
Not for me, problem is still here, tried deleting cookies etc.
Problem here for me on chrome too

Hello. Newbie here. Sometimes I'm signed in when I load the forum page, but many times I'm not. It seems to me that it occurs when some time passes, but I'm not quite sure yet.
I have the same problem. It would reguide me to http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php?nocache=1 after I logged in.
Same problem here. On chrome too.
Have XDA in my bookmarks bar and every time I click it, I will be logged out although I checked remember me on my previous login. Only happens with XDA, not with any other site. However, I dont have to always log back in again, if I flick through the website, on most threads it will show me as logged in but sometimes on some pages it will show me as logged out.
Strange
I am having this same exact problem. I can replicate it on multiple computers. Very annoying!
Hello,
I would like to sync the "S Memo" with my Google docs. But when I go under settings->accounts-> and try to enter my username and password for Google, it keeps messaging "log-in failed" .
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong!!!
Hints will be appreciated.
Thanks

It does, I tried many times to make sure I am not mis-typying ...
Do you have two-factor authentication turned on, so when you log into Gmail or other Google apps from a new computer, you have to enter a code from your phone? If you do, you'll want to go to the security settings in Google/Gmail to generate an app-specific password, because some apps don't support two-factor authentication. I can find a link if you want more details, but it only matters if you have that feature turned on.
I have mine signed in and set to sync with both Gmail and Evernote and I'm successfully signed in and all but it doesn't actually sync anything from either account... :-/

Yeah I learned the hard way also. Samsung account only syncs correctly with s memo. Google drive will, but it backs up the files as jpeg, and I think this is the reason why it will not restore from Google or evernote.

Thank you all for the replies,
I have the 2 way authentication enabled. I will give it a go later today and post back the result.
Btw, if it only saves them as jpeg and it can not be restored, it is not what I'm looking for then!!!
