My App Shortcuts aren't always showing by the way, only when you press against the Lock in the middle.
My very bottom "lock" unlocks the screen, if you slide right to left, sliding left to right changes the ringer settings..

yea man, the lockscreen looks very nice and rather useful. Haha. Ive tried cm10 a lot of time, but i miss the stock touchwiz features like wifidirect and a few other things way too much to switch to an AOSP or vanilla android rom. Been trying the new jellybean leaks, but now im on wanamlite and enjoying it very well.
oh well, i guess ill have to find a third party unlocker app that will allow me to have all of those shortcuts on my lock screen.

Move icons around like iOS ?

I like to arrange my apps by alphabetical order, and it's a real pain in the ass that when I add a new app it doesn't just push all the icons over a space it pushes sone down some sideways.
Any way to tweak it so it reacts like iOS when I'm adding / removing /moving icons?
Thanks.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Man press menu button while app drawer open...view type...alphabetical grid...bam done.
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
First off I'm not talking app drawer. I'm talking desktop pages. Second off, when pressing menu button in the app drawer there is no such option as you speak of. Thirdly the app drawer is already in alphabetical order. So no need to even do what you suggest.
Anyone else have an actual answer to my question?

I can't directly answer your question but I will give a suggestion. You can the ROM in the link and maybe this can be more like iOS for you. The apps behave like iOS sort of. Give it a look at least.

Why do you even put your apps on the home screen instead of just leaving them in the drawer? I could understand a few, but not all of them.

I agree with this. The idea behind the home screen is to place widgets and app icons in such a way that is convenient for quick info access and the more commonly used apps and functions on the phone. The app drawer is the all apps view. Seems a waste to do otherwise.

And fourth seems like you don't know how to phrase a question with all the information. Next time tell people what launcher you are using and what screen you are trying to accomplish it on....so people dont waste there time giving you such unsatisfactory answers.

I have different pages to group different types of apps. That's why. App drawer is something completely different than that.

Why don't you use folders instead? Less clutter and probably works better for what you want.

I think the issue is that you see a droid like iOS. Its isn't. IOS is an app drawer and that's its when it comes to how it functions. Apple places every app on the front yet android allows you to make it your own and exercise your creativity...or the lack there of. Its how it works
I suggest maybe miui would be worth a shot to try. They are about 50 different launchers out there to try but none of the popular ones will work like you want.

That is the way the launchers are made to work. There is no changing it unless you build your own launcher and change the way it moves the icons.
What is wrong with the OP? They gave him an answer so why is he being difficult?
They gave me answers? No they shot down my question with bull**** remarks and started acting all android fanboy like because I'd like icons to move around like they do on a iPhone which is in my opinion is a lot easier to deal with then the randomness of the android icon movement.

Just look at other apps created by the same company, they have status bar, dialier and lockscreen, etc.
If you want a keyboard that look a lot like iOS, you can try A.I. Type, one of the included theme is pretty accurate. I would use it more for the Windows Phone theme, but it lacks gesture typing.

Aviate Beta VS Themer Beta

Each replaces your launcher in a interesting way. Themer makes it easier to theme and Aviate organizes your apps and information in a helpful and cool way (and kind of reminds me of Google now IMO).
Both are by invite only currently, got lucky and got both, so sign up now if you wanna use them instead of waiting for the released version.
My problem is that i can't decide which one i want to use,
Themer has limited themes but more are added slowly, also has its crash moments but hey its a beta and the updates help, forced to stay in stock UI mode
Aviate changes by how i use it but only has a light or dark theme option and doesn't require me to be in stock UI mode
I love lowering my dpi to 180/192 in tablet UI mode but i also love changing my theme especially since themer makes it easier
Anyone else with both betas? what are your opinions? which would you pick?
Aviate
Themer app
I find myself switching between the two. I like the themes on themer, but like the categories on aviate.
I have tried both and was bored by both within a day. Stock, Nova, and Action are still my go-to launchers.

for me themer is no working on Miui rom nexus 4
Dont like Themer yet. Its almost the same as Buzz launcher but without the hassle of downloading extra apps. There just arent alot of themes yet so not really interesting.
Using Aviate for a while now, and I really like it. Just the fact that in the evening it will ask to set an alarm and when im riding to the bus it will show the time of arrival from the bus. Just those little things make it great.
Although nothing can beat just stock launcher. Simplicity and just clear.

I also got bored of both very quickly, aviate isn't customizable enough for me and themer doesn't have many themes yet, also doesnt let me have a smaller nav bar. Back to nova with a custom setup or even Buzz launcher which at least has a lot of options..
