I just recently asked Jerdog about why theres almost 5 freaking stickys that all say the same thing. (asking him to declutter the large sticky count we have)
I pull my request as per this appeared, backing his statement that 4 warning sticky's is very necessary.

Seriously? I agree the thread shouldn't have been moved but either way this doesn't belong. The thread is in general and is usually the top five threads. If he couldn't find it he didn't look hard enough.

Apparently it was locked due to too much general chatter. You do know it's a crime to be excited about something in the development section dont you? Therefore you should be banned for a week for asking a question as well.

Okay.
We all know that I make loads of pointless posts like this, but seriously now: where are the mods for this forum?
I understand that the guy who was given this forum to look after is a dev but he shouldn't be in charge of it if he can't handle it really. We need somebody who is known, has lots of time and follows the rules of the forum.
Certainly not me.
So roll up, put your name down here if you wish to be the new mod of this forum and we will show a senior mod this thread so they change it to somebody who wants to do it.
Because at the end of the day when I'm giving out free cookies in the dev section, I should be getting told off.

You really should start paying attention in school. I would suggest starting with English class (that last post of yours was remarkably unpunctuated).

I really would volunteer but I would probably have to step down by September because I give more priority to my education.. unlike some in this thread.

Can a forum community really vote in their own mod when the site says they aren't accepting new mods? Though I agree that we desperately need one. I'm really tired of reading questions in the dev section.

There is a nice feature that XDA has had for its lifetime... it's called the Report button. It's that brown triangle with an exclamation mark through it on the right hand side of the post. If you see an issue, report it. It will draw the attention of the Mod for the forum as well as Senior Moderators.
We moderators do this for free - simply because we love XDA. Most of us have real lives (some have fake lives) as well as jobs and/or school. We can't be on here every minute of every living day. We need users to help us at times - and you can do that by reporting. Otherwise, you have no reason to complain.

Actually the main reason this thread was made that the main moderator of the forum doesnt even looks at the forum,even though he is on XDA everyday......

What jerdog is saying is that if you see an off-topic or otherwise off-color post, simply report the post by clicking the

The problem is no one takes 5 seconds to figure out what it is before posting a new thread. There are like 50 of these threads.

OP, Let's figure out what you have Settings>About Phone Build Number and Baseband. Then we can figure out what you are getting and then I will close this thread like all the others.

I would say very friendly cuz up till this point i have not seen any mods kick some ass rule number one is read and search and right now the general section is filled with cocky noobs opening new thread even if their cat stares at their phone.

Hmmm looks to be in the wrong section for this post for one .. and second in that other thread of yours was already all the information you need about getting CWM on your phone .. there are already BOOST users here using Agats and other kernels available look at the Kernel repository sticky it has links to all available Kernels

Sorry dev forums are not for "development issues". They are for devs and modders and themers to post to their work. If you didn't make some thing then you shouldnt post in dev forums.

Because as has been said already .. it is not a different phone at all it is the EXACT same phone.. you are not required to run a kernel that is only fl22, Sprint Boost Virgin all SPH -D710 run the same kernels , that is what all the folks that replied have been trying to tell you . you can use any of the repacked kernels in the repo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662295

I'm thinking after reading all this, you shouldn't be trying to flash anything. Ever.

I would suggest donating to the devs of this community who have already put out TONS of work for free. might spark more interest in putting things out in general. Just saying, as long as we're saying things in sections where they don't belong

That is RULE NUMBER ONE. So tell me, why is it that so many people want to demand that this rule not be enforced, and then to make matters worse, they want to demand that we spoon feed people refusing to follow this rule?
And why is it that people feel the need to go even farther, to the point of making a completely useless thread to "test" the members of this forum and ensure that they are not referring people back to rule number one?
In addition to the forum rules being posted at the top of every subforum, there are also MULTIPLE WAYS TO SEARCH THIS FORUM! There is a permanent search box at the top of the site, and there are subforum specific search boxes on every subforum! Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a hard concept to grasp! All you have to do is type a few keywords into the search box and push search, browse through a page or two of responses, and save yourself and everyone else the trouble and/or embarrassment!
But instead, people like the OP want to demand that we ignore the rules and let people do as they please, cluttering the forums and causing the same questions to be answered over and over again while other peoples issues may be slipping through the cracks, or while people who refuse to educate themselves are trolling devs in their development threads to the point that said devs want to leave the forums.
OP, you tell us not to be arrogant, but the fact that you think you can police this forum and demand things be done your way is the very essence of arrogance.
That is all.
