Which case do you use on your ion, or do any of you not use a case? It's such a nice looking phone, so I hate to cover it up..but would have risk getting it scuffed up. I'm using the ballistic case on mine currently..it does bulk it up, but will definitely keep it protected.
I use an Incipio Feather case. Barely adds any bulk

So I'm wondering what cases everyone is using. The at&t store only had one butt ugly case that I didn't go for. I've been looking at this incipio case and wondering if anyone has it. Fit? Feel? Value?

you could probably get something exactly like that on ebay for 5 bucks

That's a fair point. I'm just worried about a snug fit. I've bought cheap no-name brand cases before that fit horribly, and were basically a waste of money.

Really I always get cheapo cases that fit great and hey if they don't only was 3 bucks haha

3 bucks plus shipping. Not to mention wasted time (a lot of that stuff ships from HK) . Lol. I'm broke, yo.

When on ebay press north America only lol. It helps and generally same prices with free shipping

It's in Amazon for $20:

I think I'll go for a KaysCase, also in Amazon. I've looked for reviews online for the brand (they make cases for Ipad as well) and didn't find any negative one. Since Apple users are usually prone to complaining online, I think if the case was bad it would be all over the place.
Reminds me a lot of the Nillkin case I have for my Xperia S. I might have to order it. Though I really like the feel of the ion without any case. Such a nice phone and great build.

I would think twice about that. I already dropped my phone once and now there's a deep scratch on the rubber parts on the top and bottom of the phone.
I never drop my phones lol.

I have a gelcase that bought from amazon for 5 bucks... Feels good and is thick enough to guard and thin enough not to mess with the thinnes of the phone

I bought that case directly from incipio with a 20% coupon, only had to pay $21.83 after taxes. Just waiting for it to arrive in the mail I hope today!

Yeah, I dropped mine and now have a chunk of plastic missing. I have an Incipio Feather on the way.

I went ahead and bought the incipio silicrylic case. Pretty pleased with it so far. Only issue is the piece on the left side above the usb/hdmi port is really, really thin. I'm pretty sure that will be the first part to break.
Other than that, it's a really nice fitting, well made case. It even makes the buttons easier to push.

Mine had a small fall now there is a tiny chip out of the screen. I bought a 2 pack of cases off amazon for $5

Probably got ripped off for actually paying $40 for it from AT&T, but I went with the DualTek case.

Not really on par with the best Otterbox but it seems like it'll protect my phone pretty well. The plastic is thick and hard *laughs out of immaturity*. I have a thing for breaking my screens and the case has a lip around the front of the phone so I'm not too worried about the screen on this phone.
I'm dissaponted that the ION doesn't "support" phone straps. Anyone know of any cases that "support" phone straps ?
Anyone ever try Diztronic cases?

I was looking for a new case for my S3, preferably one that is dual layer but I haven't seen any that don't attract a ton of lint. The defender is the closest to what I'm looking for, however it is creaky when on my phone. I hate the dual layer ones that are really soft silicone. If anyone could recommend a good case that is dual layer and uses a hard rubber liner that would be awesome.
Look at the dba ultra case thread.

Incipio Silicrylic. The silicone is definitely a harder compound than the Otterbox (I've used the Commuter on 3 different phones). It also is a fairly slim case, definitely doesn't add as much bulk as even the Commuter does.
bodyglove tough suit. i just made a thread about it
I've gone through about 7 cases now, trying to find the most quality protection I can get without getting something too thick or too expensive.
...finally decided to stop being a cheapass and start considering the Aegis Trident. Anyone with this have any regrets? Does this follow the trend of loosening the slide mechanism and scratching up the gamepad like so many other cases do?
Been using for almost a year now, best case for xperia play plus has 1 year warranty. Buy it.

Here's a lengthy post I posted on this thread:
MY POST
It pretty much tells you I have absolutely no regrets on having the Aegis Trident case for the Xperia PLAY.
Best decision imo for a case. It helps in the xperia play's case more cause it doesn't affect the opening of the gamepad or use of it. And there's soft plastic covering for the buttons so they stick out and are easier to use without looking fro them.

I just wanna extend a GREAT thanks to you all, especially narflynn... went ahead and bought the Trident and GOOD LORD this thing is lovely!
Great build quality, great feel... and it just looks nice! This combined with my fresh new 64GB card has made my Xperia Play something I'll probably never replace.
No regrets, but i do have a little difficulty with the power button not pressing correctly sometimes.
My gamer pad has got a little scratched but I don't know for sure if its the case that has caused this, but can get an undamaged replacement from eBay for £15.
AW: Aegis Trident users... any regrets?
Unfortunately the available colours are ugly as hell.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Have you even used one? Meh, you are ugly. The red is awesome. I use it.
AW: Aegis Trident users... any regrets?
Hey if you like them go on. The red is acceptable but I don't like them. Like the Win8 colours, they somehow look weird.
But nevertheless the cases are hq.

I just got my aegis trident case and it feels and looks awesome. Its the green and black one and with the normal shipping it was at my house in only 2 days it will take a little bit of getting used to as I haven't had a case for almost a year, but I'm glad I got one.
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
After finding out that my xplay basically came with a screen protector. I somehow felt like it was a waste to use the trident cover. So I rarely use it on my play...only on days where I feel like the touching the trident cover (and i really do love the feel of my trident cover) I would put it on.
Makes the play 2 big but still love it.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Why would having a built in screen protector make the Trident a waste? They aren't the same.
I really like the Neo Hybrid case by Spigen. Unfortunately, they don't make it for the One. I know some companies have in the past began to make cases when people have shown enough interest. I'm just curious how much, if any interest there is in this case for One. Perhaps if we could get enough people asking on their website or facebook, they might offer it for the One.

Highly doubt a polycarbonate band the width of our phones would be enough to comfortably hold the tpu they use in place
I'm sure they could find a way. The S3 didn't really have much of a bezel and they made it work for that phone.

Just wonder what kind of cellphone case most people like to use...TPU? hard? flip? frosted? glossy? black? color? transparent?
I stick to slim hard cases all along..I don't think their protection is less than those more bulky TPU cases.. (ooppss..sorry to TPU lovers..)
what is your choice?
I just ordered a UAG case for my s4. Had one on my s3 and loved it. Great quality for the price. But does not protect your phone if it falls face first onto a gravel road haha.

the ironic thing, the accessories section isn't even being used or these such threads aren't moved there.
that being said, I like the Otter Box defender series. too bad I needed one ASAP and I couldn't get the blue one, because not only is it available but I was able to snag OBs on Amazoon nowadays for 20% off regular price...
i like my phone without a case
if youre going to buy a case for the s4 it has to be the spigen sgp neo hybrid white/black
if you want a higher quality aluminum one then buy the iphone style one that offers full drop protection, add a spigen glast screen protector and your good to go :good:
