Hi i bought my galaxy nexus in Feb. It is not showing the JB Update. I recently updated it to 4.0.4.(about 3 weeks before)
But now when i try to update it says it is already up to date. Please tell me how to update it to JB. I tried cleaning data of the Google Services framework. It didnt work. Also performed factory reset.Still the update is not showing.
Build-IMM76K.I9250XWLD2
Baseband-I9250XXLA2
The update that's puished is for Takju/Yakju build. You need to check what version of GN that you have. Try checking it via Google Maps > Settings and it will tell what build it is.
Also there are guides in XDA to force the update.

I just got my Nexus and wanted to run the Google Maps 6.0 update. I noticed the update doesn't even show up in the market by default, only when I seach for the Maps App and click on it, it shows the Update Option. However when it tries to install the update an error shows up saying the Packet-Signature is wrong. Tried it a couple of times, rebooted and so on. Nothing helped.
So far I haven't been able to find anything on the Internet regarding this error and the Nexus. Is it only me?
You are not alone. I got the same problem. Maps and Google + cannot be updated.

The Maps 6.0+ update and the latest G+ update both worked fine on mine the other day.
Maybe clear the cache in the market app?
I just got my Gnex 2 hours ago. Maps updated fine for me.
try clearing cache/data for the market app.
Seems to be a problem with the first German handsets which were sold with the already installed patch (and unlocked bootloader). Someone in another forum wrote that it seems like Samsung put their own version of Google apps on which results in this wrong signature message.
one solution would be
https://plus.google.com/u/0/100306073783323857197/posts/C1n3KpuYTEp
another solution would be to install the google factory image
http://groups.google.com/group/android-building/msg/43c3a418144fc6c5?pli=1
and then the patch yourself. This solved also the problem for many german users.
Or just wait a bit until a new OTA update hopefully fixes the problem Samsung or anyone else caused who preinstalled the patch for some German handsets.
Hey I am with Rogers Wireless in Canada
I received a system update this morning to ICS 4.0.2.
Since that time the Android Market has been crashing every time I attempt to install an app.
Market version is 3.4.4
I have tried clearing the data and cache with no luck.
I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing this or if its just me?
If the issue continues I will just uninstall the latest update.
Cheers

Sorry I didn't see that post. Good to know I am not the only one
I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 running on latest Official Stock 4.1.2 Firmware.
For the past several weeks I have noticed that the Apps which are being updated through Google Play Store are no longer getting Partially updated, every time an App has to update the whole APK is being downloaded. Didn't Google from last year update the Play Store to partially update the installed Apps? Or is there something wrong with my device? I'm pretty sure few weeks back I used to have this service in my phone and everything was working properly, I mean the Partial updates from Play Store but suddenly this is not happening anymore. Please Help.
P.S I use Titanium Backup to update/restore my Apps, I once restored the Android ID through TB, does this have anything to do with the Apps update?
yes smart update is not working for me too since past 2 weeks or so
Does the force stopping, clear data, roboot for Google Services Framework and then system update sequence still to force an OTA on a stock N7?
It used to show a 1969 date before clicking the check now button but now shows the current date each time I have tried.
Edited - I forgot that if you do a system update before rebooting it shows 1969 before clicking check now.
The question still applies, does our has this method worked for anyone recently.

That method has never worked.
If your device isn't already on the list of devices in the roll out you won't get it.
All it did was force your device to check if it was already on the roll out.
That's it and nothing more.
Funny. It worked for me when upgrading to 4.3 on my original N7. Haven't gotten it work the new one.

I don't recall it ever working for me as far back as 4.1.2 on the N7 2012.
My Google Play system update was stuck on 1 July for several months now. And today I notice it turns red with no more updates available. Anyone have the same problem nor know how to fix it?
I'm on latest stock ROM with locked BL.
Same here, is there an update??
That is apparently the current version?
Same on my phone, but I could update it manually to Sept 1. now.
Weird that it was not done automatically.

Oh, mine had the update today. 6.3k, can't have been much in it.
I don't think it was automatic in the past either. But I have is updates set to manual so maybe that's why?

Download and install this Apk if you are on the Sept Patch
Same story on my other phone Samsung A30s. So I guess it's not A2 lite specific.

This was a problem for me as well. My moto g 5g was stuck on that of 1 August 2020. I searched all over the internet but couldn't find anything that would work. I even did a factory reset but that too didn't work and the it was still showing that no updates were available. But yesterday while I was using the "Multiple User" option available under the "System" in settings (not as guest but new user) and tried checking Google Play system update and surprisingly there was an update available. I changed from new user to the original user (admin) and found that still there was no update available there. So I checked back to the new user and updated the phone. Why Google treated the new user differently is something that I want to know?
