How add 245Mhz cpufreq on arcknight kernel RC_3.3 OC? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good afternoon, I would like to know how to manually add more CPU frequencies of the kernel arcknight RC_3.3 OC as the frequency of 245Mhz and others, without having to switch to kernel 3.5.1 OC. It is possible to edit a file? Anyone know? Sorry the bad english. Thank you.

Hi, any reason for not switching to 3.5.1?
Try the Apple no-frills CPU control. There you can select e.g. 245 MHz.
Cheers, sumpfhun

Agreed, or use SetXperia

You must edit frequency table of the kernel, maybe is better to ask to Jimbo how to do this step...

I think I'll use the 3.5.1. And do not bother with it. thanks everyone.

Just download NoFrills... wow

I tried, but nofrills only use the frequences of kernel. Not let add more frequencies.

Download Faux Clock (I'll get you the link if you need it)
Once in Faux Clock, Do not OVERCLOCK.
Set max at 1.512 and min at 192 or 384 (if you have problems with 192)
Check set on boot
Now on that same screen... slide to the right and undervolt to whatever you want... I undervolted to -100 and i have no problem, so try it i guess
If you UV then don't set on boot until you're sure the phone is stable at that voltage.

[Q] Custom ROM for modern combat 3.

Hello there forum.
I have been wondering if someone can help me find a custom ROM for my [GSM] Galaxy nexus that can support both 13500ghz CPU overclocking as well as games such as Modern combat 3 and GTA3. This actually will help me increase the graphics performance and keep my nexus in the right temperature. I have tested Foxhound ROM but it appeared that it doesn't support games.
It is my first thread and I hope everyone will benefit from it . thanks
You're looking for a kernel not a ROM. A ROM doesn't control CPU overclocking.
AOKP + Franco Kernel will do you well though. As Franco Kernel requires 4.0.3.

Hmmm is thats so, thanks for the information. I haven't tried to install a Kernel before but ill check how.
thanks again for the fast reply.

Kernel is responsible for overclocking your CPU, undervolting, etc.
This kernel will ALSO OC your GPU to 384 MHz from 308 MHz (or so) so it should help a lot.

Great,, so now the only 4.0.3 I have is the Foxhound ROM. Should i flash into it and then try and install the Kernal from there?

Just flash it after flashing a ROM. If Foxhound is 4.0.3 then you can try it with that, I personally prefer AOKP but like I said before if Foxhound is 4.0.3 then go for it unless you want to try AOKP.
Good, i will work on it right now. ill hit you when works.

Me too.. anyone can help us..
ROM: AOKP Build 28
Kernel: Nightly Franco r112
You might try Morphics Trinity kernel.
http://www.derkernel.com/ics-tuna-exp.html
Try this one, it has an over-clocked GPU as well
TNP138-RD-FUV
This is the Trinity NP kernel with 1382MHz CPU And 512 GPU clock
It might help you out.

Try GLaDOS by ezekeel. it has GPU overclock till 500 mhz and CPU overclock till 1.6 ghz
For changing live overclock and other tweaks get nstools from market or buy glados control.

Just be aware that some devices cannot handle over-clocking past 1.3. The phone will crash and reboot. If you try a kernel with over-clock to 1.6 be sure that you DO NOT check "set on boot". That way if your phone crashes and reboots, it will boot up OK.
In the link above for Trinity kernel there is a 1.6 CPU w/ 512 GPU. If you want to try it.
I have also read that even the devices that can handle the 1.6 without crashing, don't actually run at 1.6 due to thermal throttle. When the CPU reaches 1.6 it over heats and will thermal throttle down within seconds.
Let us know how it turns out.

CPU Overclocking

Anyone has managed to overclock the cpu of Samsung Galaxy W?
I've tried with both SetCPU and CPU Master with no results, as the max frequency cannot be increased more than the default speed of 1400MHz..
For overclocking need custom kernel

Correct!!
Arco is working on a custom kernel, and maybe i will give it a shot if there is a good tutorial!
gr8! thx guyz
I've talked about this before.
Arco refuses to add higher speed frequencies to his kernel before making sure it's stable and smooth.

Its depend on your ROM and Kernel, some tweaked ROM or Kernel has good perfomance without max Oc, just don't used maximum Oc to often..1,4-1,6 was wise choice for daily use...

[Q] Safest range for overclocking

i want to overclock my device what is the safest range ..in order to maximize the performance of my device
thanks in advance
device Lg optimus me p350
rom cyanogenmod electroz v3
kernel 2.6.32.9
Overclock speed
The overclock frequency depends on the ROM that you use.
After using a number of ROMs I felt 787 MHz is the safest one.

The min. frequency can be set as low as 122 MHz if u r using a governor like ondemand or smartassv2 etc.
That'll help u to increase battery life since the processor will not work at it's top frequency when it is not needed.
If u r using a governor like powersave, then setting a very low freq. will slow down ur phone like hell.
Experience urself with setting up diff frequencies.
