Tried searching to see if anyone else has got this fault since the update (2 days ago) but with no luck I hope am not alone...
I have iBeats headphones and have always worked fine with my HOX.. Then I updated to 2.17 (2 days ago) and i no longer can use the beats 2.17 is awesome like but I listen to my music everyday...
Its defiantly not the beats as they work on my pc speakers and also on my girlfriends S3... tested the official headphones I got with HOX and they work fine its just me beats.. Anyone else come across this ?

Yeah, same as mine - only i have the white versions.
They work, and beats profile automatically enables in the notification bar too as it does with any earphones.
Other than trying a factory reset, or a fresh os install - I ain't got a clue what can be done to get them working.
You said you've ruled out the earphones as the problem, but Does an other pair of earphones work on your HOX?

I'm wondering if this phone is still worth buying or it's better to wait for the Lumia 620. Question to this site: is this phone still relevant/worth it?

If I wait til about Feburary, will it still be worth it? Or will it be worthless compared to same-ish-priced phone then?

Might look at this if it's significantly cheaper than a Lumia 620 at around specified time.

IMO, I think HTC devices are better. Every Nokia I have had has been junk. Not sure/don't understand why everyone likes Nokia so much.
My one v is awesome, runs great. Only issue is grip of death signal issues. Are you going for CDMA or gsm?
Also I'm not sure what the Nokia you are looking at is. If its android, check out their development scene. If its slim pickings, you may be stuck on ICS or jb for a long time to come. A few devs for a device go a long way.

I'm either going with Virgin mobile $35/month if I get this or T-mobile $30/month if I get the 620. So a CDMA 1V as It's cheaper for the CDMA model. Does skype on android support rear camera video?
Not sure about Skype, it should work though. I am on the VM 35 a month plan and its great. Signal strength is just as good as my friends with sprint phones.
I do recommend groove IP for internet calling. Its a good alternative to using up cell minutes.

Wait what Nokia android? Dude there are no Nokia android devices. Only symbian (which is being fased out at the moment), obviously there are dumbphones, and the lumia line of devices which run on windows phone.

But no custom roms
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
I really like the One V, I really like the build quality and how it grips with one hand. Its not the fastest phone in the market but for the price its well worth it. I use mine more like an mp3 player as I don't pay for service. My only grip is no FFC. To take self portraits look to the nearest mirror and point the camera lens towards you also works for video chat that allow you to use back camera for video chat.

Wondering if anyone else is having issues with bluetooth sound issues during calls with the S3?
Since getting my S3 I have tried 2 different BT headsets Jawbone Era and a Plantrantics M165. Both I get people telling me that it sounds horrible.
I'm hopeing someone else has seen nthis and knows a fix.
Thanks
Jesse

Yes stock rooted per Mr. Rodinsons no trip method.
Is there a better ROM for BT quality?
I have used bt in both my cars and haven't had any complaints.

I bought second Hox, it was damaged, i flashed new rom and it boot and works good except microphone, i thought it is software problem but nothing helped so i decided to look inside the phone. I discovered that phone in the past was droped in the water... The connection part from volume button too microphone is a little broken by someone who tried repair the phone and badly colsed the cover. Do You think if i replace this part it will work? Is it possible that everything is working and headphone microphone works and something else can cause this fail? I dont want to buy part that will not fix the problem... Can anyone help me make a decision?

Apologies, originally posted in wrong area.
Can anyone confirm if this works with HTC One....I'm on 1.28.61.7 EE. Read mixed reviews regarding compliance with the One.

I just recently picked one up and I can say that it works really well. I've tried it on several different roms and it has not failed me yet. I have it plugged up and charging in my car and as soon as I stick my phone into the dock, it pairs up immediately and starts going. Good accessory.
Cheers pal. I'll get onto it.
