ROM Dictionary (Dutch / other than English) not installing - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I recently flashed the BAMF Paradigm v2.0 ROM. It might or might not be related to the ROM or Gapps, but the dictionary for my language (Dutch) is not installing.
There is an option to install the Dutch dictionary in the list of 'Add-on dictionaries'. When I choose the option 'Install' it looks like it is installed, but after pressing 'Refresh', it still says 'Dictionary available'. When the Dutch language is selected on my keyboard, all the standard words have a red marker [-> screenshot].
The Dutch user dictionary is working fine.
I tried reflashing the Gapps and ROM, but it didn't solve this problem.
Any other solution to this?

bump, also having this problem, but on XenonHD

Same problem for AOKP: Dictionary says it's installing, but after a refresh it says I need to download and install again.

Pulling dictionaries from rom?

My problem is that I am only able to use MCR, cause I can flash over the stock rom with it. The other ones wont let me, and therefore, I can't get the danish dictionary that I need. How can I pull the danish dictionary from the stock rom and flash it to any other rom? Using the locale application doesn't work, cause I can't get english interface and danish keyboard there. Help is appreciated greatly. Many people are having the same problem.
I also had this problem (wanted English UI with Dutch dictionary). I used the info found here to solve it: http://ostebaronen.dk/changing-htc_ime-language-to-danish/
The part you'll need:
- adb pull /data/data/com.htc.android.htcime/shared_prefs/com.htc.android.htcime_preferences.xml .
- Change the string to <string name=”keyboard_language”>8<⁄string> (8 for danish)
- adb push com.htc.android.htcime_preferences.xml /data/data/com.htc.android.htcime/shared_prefs/com.htc.android.htcime_preferences.xml
Beware, it'll still only show "English" in the dictionary language choicelist (although unchecked) but it'll actually use the Danish dictionary.

[Q] Ginger IME

hi all... i m having this problem in both Oxygen and Cyanogen MOD. Gingerbread IME is not showing the numbers 3,6,7,8,9... and others are shown. for a try i installed the gingervillian rom couple of days ago and it showed every number correctly placed.
can you suggest me a good way to correct this problem.
thanks
Reflash the rom? No problems here, working as intended. You could try to uninstall it then install it or delete the apk before flashing then install it after.
Sent from CM7
Try this.
Go into Menu, Settings, Language & keyboard, Select language and pick the language you want. Exit and see if the numbers show up.
If not then also try Menu, Settings, Language & keyboard, Android keyboard, Input languages and add a couple different languages. If that fixes it then you can remove the unneeded languages.
I had the same problem after clean flash to Oxygen 2.1.2. The language selection was English but not UK or US. The above fixed it.

[Q] Installing Keyboard AddOn Blade Elite!

SOLVED
Hi, I just installed the Blade ELITE 2.0 ROM on my HOX, but as I live in Sweden, I would like a Swedish keyboard. I'm not sure how to install AddOns for ROMs, And maybe some tips and tricks to keep my battery for more than 20+ hours.
Link to keyboard languages is in the OP http://htcfanboys.com/download/theDroidfanatic/?action=list&file=5983 just flash it and after reboot delete the languages you don't need, or extract the Swedish language apk and install in system and set correct permissions and reboot. For better battery try flashing different kernels and settings in trickster.

Gboard: no prediction neither glide typing. Only works for english.

Hi guys,
I installed the Gboard keyboard from Google to replace the TouchPal.
I have no prediction at all for French, German or Greek. Also i have no gliding typing for these languages.
When i switch to english it works well.
If i have the multilanguage setting on, say for english-french, the prediciton only works for english. It only predicts english words.
What hasn't worked:
- Clearing cache/deleting data
- Uninstalling/reinstalling
- Restart phone
What has partially worked:
-Installing a previous version from APKmirror.
The problem being that the app downloaded from APK mirror won't update from the Play Store. It gives an installation error code.
I don't want to be stuck with an old version or have to update from APK mirror all the time.
Any of you has experienced that ?
In any case your help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Adrien
Exact same issue with Swedish.. stopped working the other day and no amount of reinstall, clearing cache nor factory reset of the damn phone works (s9+)
