Differences between Android Developement and Original Android Developement? - HTC One X

That's my question.

'Original' are ROMs that are made from source or different from stock. 'Android Development' is for ROMs based on the official HTC builds

I'm sure this has been covered before somewhere. I'll link if I can find it.

Possible Stupid Question

I've heard that to get a ROM that would have Froyo plus SenseUI you'd have to wait until HTC released a version that has those together and it gets rooted. What I don't understand is couldn't a developer find out how to separate the SenseUI from a current ROM and build it into Froyo when it's released to the public?

Possibly but not realistically. Sense is very much integrated into the system. Extremely deeply integrated. Framework files and all. So while it's possible it's not too realistic.

Sorry, I thought the developer forum would be appropriate since its a development type question.

It's more of a common knowledge thing. Google makes the different versions of android then the supplier adds the extra crap.

Desire CDMA ROMs

Can somebody post the links to all the latest CDMA ROMS cause I tried searching and I could only find older ones.
Well look through the first 2 pages of rom threads and see if you find them, if they aren't there there aren't any recent ones(you might need to enter threads, as not all advertises this in the title)
The only one i can think of right now is oxygen, which is a great aosp rom So i would go for that one.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Wiki/Place to find ROMs

Coming from an HTC Evo 4G, I was surprised at how difficult it was to find ROM information in a complied manner. The XDA Wiki page has a list of ROMs available as shown here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_Evo/ROMs. How difficult would it be to compile such a list for the SIII?
As someone who prefers their rooted device to be stock, it's quite difficult to find the latest stock ROM.

If i were you i wouldn't post in development, i would read the forum rules before posting, and then i would Google RWilco's stock ROM Repository And Click On The S3 Section.

Saw that page. Doesn't have any ROM resources that point to stock ROMs, nor shows any way to find them.

I guess you didn't read or scroll far enough. Every single rom in the Sprint Forum is listed and linked and categorized by style, either Touchwiz or AOSP.
As is every kernel and mod which works on the SPH-L710.

What Is WronG With Your CapitoL Letter Button? Please FiX Whatever Is Causing It, Reading YouR PosTs Is A Right Pain In The BAcksIde.
And OP, no your thread is in the correct section - it shouldn't go in Original Development as there is already a thread there and this ROM is not your own development so it definitely shouldn't go in OD.

Rule 4, please use the English Langauge... tbh I'm not sure that what you typed qualifies as English
There did used to be a rule as part of rule 2 that stated not to use inappropriate use of capitol letters or caps lock, I will ask the admins to reinstate that :highfive:
Anyway, OP apologies for the OT, I'll stop derailing the thread now

Their download link and your download link are identical.
Yours: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9500

Like I said, nothing new to see here. This exact same ROM is already being discussed in two other threads, whether under the name 4.4 or 4.4.2.

the same link because after a while the Rom that i want will be deleted from the update center
so you just download the lastest one
and you can see what im talking about if you look at the name of the Updates you will see different Date & Time

There is no need for another CM thread that does nothing but link to CM's download link. Thread closed.

Cataclysm ROM RIP?

I just went to see if there was an update for this ROM and see the thread is closed.... What happened?
Basically mods wanted to move his rom to "Android development" instead of "original Android development" because his rom was closed source and therefore couldn't prove the originality of the features AFAIK
