Average battery life of your rooted INC2?

Let me start out by saying please do not exaggerate, it is not helpful for anyone. Screenshots of your battery usage would be awesome
I'm an INC1 user and my only irk is the battery life isn't too great unless you upgrade to an extended battery (making the phone and case bigger). Although I can easily last a day if I don't use much on the phone, I'm still a heavy navigation user (2+ hours) and with that (excessive data+GPS) my battery life is in the red or dead at the end of the day unless I charge it.
So please if you could post the ROM/Kernel and your average battery life so I can get a good estimate, thanks

I don't have a screenshot (of while at work results) or anything but I did have a Inc 1. I'm using the latest CM7 nightly with its stock kernel. Standby on this phone is great. I work a 10 hour shift. I can do the 1 hour before work, 10 shift, and the one work after work and still have 60% left. With about 10 text and about a 10 minute phone call with a little web browsing. Like I said that with very little use cuz I'm at work. Battery like while at work is very important to me. I'll attach my current screen shots of my day off today.

Running Virtuous 3.0 ROM
I am a heavy user, phone calls, exchange with push instantly, text, google voice, and navigation every day. I get roughly about 36 hours of use before I am in the 10% range. The ROM has a great voltage/overclock/underclock app built in that allows you to tweak it to achieve wonderful battery life. I was a INC1 user before this and had the same usage habits and I would be at 10% by mid day with the amount of use I do. Now, I really don't have to charge until mid day the next day or at the end of the 2nd day. It really is quite a difference.
I have used MIUI and CM7 and both will get you through the day, but if you are a heavy user you will still have to charge throughout the day a full days worth of phone use. Just my experience from those two ROMs. They are great, but battery is king for me and honestly I do love sense 3.0.
Update: As you can see, the battery life on the Inc2 is really good no matter what ROM you run.

This was with heavy usage back when I first got CM7 a month or so ago. It was with an early nightly build of CM7 with the kernel that came with it. I don't even have an extended battery. I haven't been able to get close to 2 days recently, but I can always go a full day and charge the phone when I go to bed.

3% display means it was rarely used. My Inc1 lasts a week in airplane mode and no screen time

Here is a screenshot of mine.
Very impressed.
One day and 2hrs with 30% left with very heavy usage. Widgets and all accounts syncing constantly. Gps on. Music play. Etc.

24 hrs, give or take a few hours.
This is running the stock RMK de-bloated ROM.

2.3 RMK debloated. I get on average of 18hours use. 24+ with light use.

Running incredible sensation. Haven't used phone much today as I have been busy working most of the day. I think it is tough to compare your usage to someone else because everyone has a different style of use. One persons heavy usage is another person's light usage.

I can't post pics yet since I don't have enough posts.
Wifi, gps, and data are always on. Screen is set to auto brightness. Only google stuff is auto sync'ing.

Using newtoroot sensation 2.0 I get about 48 hours. I'm at 1 day 13 hours and have 45% . I use my phone quite a bit too. I have been impressed with the battery so far.

I have been getting an average of 16 hours. Running the debloated stock ROM. I turned of the automatic syncing. I use the data all the time checking fb and twitter. I play games all the time as well. I turn the screen down as low as I can and still see. I am happy with the time I get. But I am very curious how some of you are getting multiple days?

New original battery + Full first time calibration = 4h15 of screen time

I just bought a new battery this weekend ( original 1750mah ) and i did a first time calibration ( charging for 10h without unplugging and drain it all until my phone closes by itself). Now i have a freaking awesome battery life with mid-heavy usage. 4h15 of screen time with 50% brightness, wifi on all the time, gps, auto-sync, franco kernel #11, XDA for few hours(white background), youtube, about 250 txt messages, 30 min of talk time. I just beat a new record submit your best screen on time.
**next step : 5h of screen time ( 30% brightness, no facebook app)

If you search here, someone made an experiment. He set to airplane mode and set the screen to display all pure black with lowest brightness. That resulted with about 10 hours 40 minutes.
So, that's max screen on time with standard battery.
Here my battery life with extended 2000mAh GSM battery
Granted, I don't sync and I set to brightness at 10%. But that's enough for me. Mostly I use my phone for web browsing, fb, g+, xda, games, etc. The stats below include Sygic GPS navigation for about 20 minutes.
At 61 hours stand by with 4 hours screen on time, I am very happy

I've gotten 5.25 hours as my record. Was strictly a wifi data run. I've also got 4.75 twice, HSPA data, but your 4.25 is probably more impressive if your background is that and the other stuff mixed in. All 1750 mah. Just got my 2000 mah yesterday.

I am getting about 5 hours of on screen time with my gsm Galaxy Nexus with the 2000mah extended battery from simshop,wifi on,100% brightness always & none of my settings are focused on saving battery life.Here is a screenshot of the wallpaper I usually use,sometimes I throw a lwp on.I also for testing purposes put Netflix on at 100% battery and streamed until the battery got to 5% and ended up getting 4 hours 23 minutes with the same settings as I wrote above.I am running 4.0.1 stock deodexed rom.Stock kernel.
Maybe this will finally be the thread where everyone actually shares the relevant information like Rom & Kernel,GSM/LTE,Extended or Stock battery, Screen Brightness,Sync on/off,Wifi/Data,Static or LWP.On screen time as opposed to just how long the phone has been in idle & even possibly the technique used to calibrate the battery.

FYI all the posters above me are GSM GNexus owners.
max you can get on a LTE device running 4G all day is about 2hrs 30 minutes max on-screen time.

I've gotten 4 hours display on time with 4g on. I usually get around 3.5 hours though. 4g+wifi. Battery lasted 12 hours too. Right now I'm at 1.5 hours display on, 11 hours on battery. 4g on all day and wifi on at home.

are you running stock or custom ROM/kernel?

Using redemption rom with stock kernel. Yeah I have wifi on the whole time I'm home. Which is usually from 4- til I plug in. I am on the extended battery. But I don't notice much of a boost from the normal battery with it. I also have gtalk signed in all day and use that almost constantly. Although today I haven't. My phone also always stays cool. It never gets warm.
Also I have everything on normal sync. Gmail,fb,twitter. And auto brightness.

If you're using 4G+wifi, aren't you really just using wifi? With wifi on, I can make it through the weekend easily with light to moderate use. 4G, not so much.

[Q] How many hours do you get before you charge your HOX?

I did not see a thread similar to this for HOX. People have been saying that HOX battery is not as good as SG3 but I just wanted to get an idea how much other users are getting.
MY HOX White is giving me an awsome backup for 48 hours average with 2 hours screen time and 45 minutes talk time. I think it is awesome. Post your hours here.

Not to bad almost 3 days before I had to put it on the charger 5 hours screen time. Running Charmeleon v5.0.0 with stock kernel.

Hey man;
Sure the battery life in SGS3 is better, it has lighter processor (which doesn't help in heavy gaming, very fast in normal use though), more energy efficient AMOLED screen (which has less quality, but better brightness), and also the simpler TouchWiz UI (which is a bit childish in my opinion, but does the job well)
I get about 8 hours with heavy gaming (near 1 hours continuously) and web surfing (actually downloading, almost 500MB in total) and something like 1 hour watching music videos...

I get 2 1/2 - 3 hours screen time max! In the battery drain test my battery reaches 84% by the end of the hour, which I thought was great, but then again that test requires you to put your phone in Airplane Mode. The screen is a battery-hog imo, but its beautiful even with the stuck pixel I have haha.

LEt us get some more people to answer this one before we reach any conclusion.
Results are inconsistent for sure. Few people like me are getting 2 days average and few 2 hours!

For me it depends on what is running.
Normally I get about 14 hours of moderate use with 2-3 hours screen time.
Today I'm at 10hrs with 1.25hours screen time and I'm down to 11%. But I believe it is due to having wifi and viber running.
Personally it's my wifi that is really killing the battery. But given how I use it, it is perfectly acceptable

Is it true that non-rooted HOXs have poorer battery stats as compared to those that are rooted? If so, why?
I'm not rooted and am on stock everything.
How exactly do I go about testing the battery on my HOX?
Any tips for better battery for non-rooted devices?

I get about normal usage ( 3G-1 hour, Tegra games- half our, Music- 2 hour, SMS and Calls) 10h, just SMS and Calls about 30h.

The number of hours i get varies from time to time . On normal usage including listening to music, messaging, playing games and talking on the phone i get approx 4-5 hours max.

Its normally there in the tweaks of the rom ur using .

@Skywalker, I am all stock. How do I go about making the tweaks in the Rom?

Very frankly after receiving OTA 1.28 my battery lasts 2 days after every charge . some tips.
1. While you are listening to music keep the screen off as screen sucks up most of the charge.
2. I do not let my battery go below 15 %, I have read that letting them go below a particular level reduces the actual life.
3.Try these small steps, it resolved the issue of low battery life for me as I had read it somewhere:
> Turn Wifi and then 3G off
> Turn either Wifi or 3G on again
> Do not keep both "On" at the same time.
4. Kill the Maps process by going to the task manager ( If not using it all the time).

I think turning off the screen while on a call or when listening to music will also aid in less battery drain. No?

I charged it up during the day yesterday, but then hammered it syncing my emails, sms messages and other things.
So, last night was my first real charge. I took it off the charger at 6am this morning, and right now, at just a few minutes less than 5 hours, I'm at 83% with 70% use being cell standby.
I'm sticking with HSPA+ today, because I know that will drain the battery more than WiFi (at least that was the case on my Atrix) and I'm trying to get a feel for the battery life when away from WiFi.
Now, full disclosure, my phone has 6 email accounts setup for push. An Exchange account, two Gmail accounts and three Imap idle accounts using k9 mail. Still, I would say it's burning battery at a little higher rate than my Atrix with those same six push email accounts.

5 hours and down to 40%.

I'm a bit of a light user, but a little heavier than average given new phone.

7.5 hrs @ 57%.
I'll post screens when I can.

5 Hours, 45%, screen on 2 hr, 12 min.
Interesting thing: I have a Pandora Widget on my screen, have not used it at all, and 13% of my power, and show son for 22 min.

9.5 hrs @ 29%.
I am using the default juicedefender profile.

Cell standby hogs the battery more than other phones like US One X with same SoC. I think kernel devs can work on this since this is not normal.

To get a good idea on battery life, everyone needs to show their screen on time as it should be the biggest drain.

^^ I had power saving off for the first 3 hours of the day, and screen was set to 1/4 brightness. I changed screen to auto brightness, disabled wifi network scanning/notification, turned on power saving mode (all options), and it's been like that since about 3 hours into the day. I've done some driving with Slacker Radio streaming via bluetooth to my Jeep.
Seems like cellular standby eats juice. I am in an LTE area.

is the a way to turn off LTE?

This is mine so far, don't really run any battery saving appsetc. Cell standby is a bit too much.

I haven't seen a way to switch. The person in question is probably in a market without LTE like I am and is stuck on HSPA+

so battery life is wayy better on the exynos...

I went to work yesterday at 4:30pm and showed people my phone all day as well as had the screen on the entire time for my lunch. Got home at 11:45pm and my battery was at 91%. This is on LTE the entire time also. My Nexus was usually at 60-70% by the time I got home.

are you rooted? cause 91% left and you had it on for about 7 hours??? that's damn good. where you running any apps?

Battery Life Problems

How's everyone's battery life? I get down to about 5% by the end of the night with light to moderate use and standby time seems to be pretty terrible (5% drain an hour or so).
I checked in the battery info and it shows Android OS at the top with 66% use and when I click on that, it shows Keep awake at 3 hours and 49 minutes.
Anyone else having this problem? I did a full wipe and that didn't fix anything. I'm also running the latest update.

I can usually last a day with moderate to heavy use. Haven't found it to be any shorter than that so far. Try turning on the processor eco mode

I wake up at about 7:00a.m. and go to sleep at around 12:00a.m. And I usually go to bed with about 30% and this is with moderate use, with full brightness and eco mode off.

My battery life is pretty atrocious as well compared to my Evo LTE.
I'm at 40% at the moment after 7.5 hours. That's mostly wifi and without 4G. Have tried keeping the screen at 40-50% brightness, eco mode on, quad control, on, etc.
Even tried cycling it a few times by letting it run all the way down and charging until 100% with phone off and it's there's been no improvement.

My unit idles pretty well actually. About 1% (or less?) per hour. No complaints here.

I have been surprised at the battery life of this phone. I was annoyed after I bought it because I didn't realize it didn't have a removable battery and I typically buy extra batteries. I gave it a try though and yesterday I used it moderately while at work for 12 hours, used it for streaming audio on the way home, and after a total of about 14 hours without charging it was only down to 70%. Eco mode was on, and screen set to 67%. Periods were with 3g, 4g, low signal, and wifi.

Dont know why you would have such bad battery life, i used my phone all day yesterday from 530am til i went to bed last night at 1115pm only 30% discharge at that point , i dl a rom on it for my gs3 when i was going to sleep 789mb and woke up this am to 36% bat left. I am truly pleased with the performance so far.
I am not a light user either and use it to play need for speed , I haven't even put it in eco mode yet.

Honestly no complaints so far. I've been toying with it for fifteen minutes after ten minutes of music play and it only now went from a hundred percent to ninety nine. On my 3d it would be down ten to fifteen percent by now.

I've had almost 3 hrs of screen time and 12 hrs on a charge and only been down to 30% (with some Pandora streaming in there too). I normally get done with work and playing some on my phone and am still above 70% after 9 hrs. I can't complain about battery life in any way!

What percent of the battery usage is "Android OS" for you?

This morning I pulled her off the charger and browsed reddit for an hour with the screen at 63% and lost more than 20%.
I'm exchanging it and if the new one doesn't work any better I'm probably going to sell it and go back to the Evo.

Hard reset your phone and start over ,there is no reason you should return the device before trouble shooting

Already tried HR, went ahead and did another one and ended up having to reset it two more times when the Play Store stopped working.
Now I'm running with a handful of apps, one email account and I'm not syncing to anything other than Gmail and I'm still down 17% in the last hour and a half, plus I'm getting force close errors just trying to access battery status.

Should i look into getting another Optimus G.?
This is without my work email being sync. And i get massive emails daily on that account

At the time this was done it was at about 40ish%.
At the moment I am at 25% after using my phone about 16 hours. Android OS is at 51%, screen at 19% with about 3 hours clocked in.

By this point I expect a minimum of twelve hours on the battery with at least two hours of screen on time. Im very happy with that if I use the screen for more than two hours it'll last about eight hours which is still good. This phone idles very well I expect it improve with future updates as well.
To the user who s getting a lot of fc's, I definitely don't get any and that's saying a lot for stock software from lg opposed to stock android. Don't install task killers of you have one
