is your kindle fire is rooted already???
you said TWRP is installed ..Why not boot into TWRP w..there are many option there ..try boot into recovery.
or you can can flash new ROM or stock ROM ..you can download stock ROM from amazon
Hello friends, I have a little doubt over here.
I was trying to root my Kindle Fire v6.3.1 to install Google Play and that kind of things by using the Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.6. I chose the Permanent Root with Superuser option and after it rebooted by using Fastboot, it stuck on the boot screen (the one that says kindle fire, the fire on yellow/golden letters).
I had installed the ADB drivers succesfully, as it was recognized by Windows; but I didn't install the TWRP tool. I have tried some things I read on this forum:
1. I powered it off, then opened the KFU, and chose Normal Bootmode. Then I plugged the KF and it turned on automatically. However, my pc didn't recognize the Kindle so KFU keeps waiting the device.
2. I tried turning it off, then on and pressing the power button 3 seconds to activate the recovery menu. It didn't appear.
Also, I'd like to remark that it doesn't turn off immediately. I have to press the power button a few times to do it, but it doesn't follow a pattern.
Thanks, and I'm sorry if something similar already existed. I've searched a lot and I can't find a solution.
PS: As English is not my native tongue, I might have made some mistakes.
seems to be the issue lately with kfu all it does when you select permanet root is get you stuck in fastboot. Did the kfu terminal show anything being pushed to your kindle? Also its very likely that twrp or fff didnt get installed if you did not select those options. Now its just a matter of getting it out of fastboot some info here may help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705063
I'm sure I didn't install neither TWRP nor FFF. Regarding to KFU, all I can remember is that first it rebooted the Kindle in Fastboot Mode, then it downloaded some files I didn't have and then kept waiting for the device.
Now, when I connect the Kindle turned on, it appears as unknown device. When I try to update the drivers using ADB, still names it as 'unknown device'.
Thanks.
Adb won't see it in fastboot try some things in the link I posted there are other approaches here:

My Kindle Fire is currently stuck at the stock boot logo (it just says kindle fire: kindle in white, fire in orange).
When I plug it into my PC, KFU says it is online, but the boot status is unknown.
I have tried every option in the KFU, the Unbrick tool, and the Firekit. The constant error message is "/system/bin/sh no such file or directory"
Using adb through the terminal, I can push things to the Fire, and I can reboot it, but I get the same /system/bin/sh error that appears when using those other tools.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think I need a factory cable to solve this problem. I do not have the knowledge or the tools to create one. I found a link many places in the forums, but the store those links point to is out of stock. Where do you suggest I buy a factory cable?
Also, would it be possible to use adb to push "sh" to the device so I can use adb shell?
Yes your right when you get that error good chance you need a factory cable found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 but it may just be a matter of getting your bootmode reset do you have a bootloader installed for instance yellow triangle or white kindle with blue fire?

I was trying to flash it back to stock. As far as I can tell, the bootloader and recovery are stock (when I turn it on, it shows the stock kindle fire in white and orange), it just won't get past that Kindle Fire logo.

Real Newbie with the same problem
I was trying to use KFU for the first time last night and as it could see my KF OK I went ahead to my cost...
ADB Status - ONLINE
Boot Status - 4000
So I selected option 1 - Install Permanent Boot with Superuser and off it went.
twrp.ing missing so will download v2.2.2.1
100% OK
fff.bin is missing so will download v1.4a.bin
100% OK
(The I got a Notice that Fastboot uses a different device than ADB, if you see Kindle or Amazon reinstall drivers) (but I did not see either in Device Manager, just ADB)
Installing FFF...
<waiting for device>
(I have a screen shot of everything KFU reported)
I left it for about an hour but that's as far as it got.
On the KF it just has the 2 words Kindle Fire (White/Orange) and won't go any further
It will turn off an on, but won't go past this inital screen and is now OFFLINE to KFU
It is detected as a USB device if I unplug it from my PC and then plug it in again and will switch on from off when I plug it in, but still won't go past the "Kindle Fire" startup screen ???
I realise now that I should have done a lot more research before attempting this as I haven't a clue what I've done.
I have ordered a breakout board from Amazon.co.uk as I'm guessing I've bricked it and need to short Pins 1 & 4 ???
But before I make another mistake I though it best I appeal to you for any help
What's that expression "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"
KFU = 0.96, Win 7 Pro 64bit, KF 1st Gen, very early US model
Regards, Dave.
Dave before you go to far try a Soupkit setup on ubuntu 12.04 or linux mint mate 13 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850038 see if it doesn`t detect the device. If you have no animation at the startup screen your just stuck in fastboot and its just a matter of resetting the bootmode to normal. If it is stuck in fastboot Soupkit utility will reset it.

Hopefully I will be able to change the boot mode back to Normal.
On a different topic...
I inadvertantly had my iPhone pluged into my PC and I noticed that I could see all the folders inside it when in ubuntu 12.04, I have an old version of an IPA file that I would like to install on my iPhone as the current version in the Apps store won't work, is there a simple way to accomplish my task from ubuntu 12.04 ???

I have the same issue. I only get the white kondle with blue fire logo. I cannot reset to the defaut factory software
Ok well im fairly new to the wonderful world of rooting and im in need of some assistance. I have done Quite a lot of research and i was fairly confident in what i had learned so i decided to root my kindle. Wellllllll... Things arent going as well as i had hoped and my kindle is frozen. I know exactly what is wrong with it but i need a solution. Ok well i installed kfu (Kindle fire utility) and i updated my drivers and started the root process and it switched to fastboot and started to install fff (firefirefire) and it froze right then and there but i didnt realize it so i waited and waited but it still says installing fff... waiting for device and it dosnt do anything the bootloading screen on my kindle is just the stock kindle fire screen and it isnt moving or anything so im a bit confused. The other thing is that my kindle wont register on anything and it wont show up on device manager but i think that is because it is frozen. I would much appreciate some help if you can.
try rerunning the driver bat that came with kfu but many get stuck in your spot or try resetting the bootmode to normal ....

well i already reran the drivers but it didnt do anything because my kindle wont show up in the device manage and how do you reset the bootmode

---------- Post added at 02:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:08 PM ----------
also if you are not stuck in between a commited option you can such as sending recovery or bootloader leave your kindle plugged to your computer hold the power button down till it turns off then power it back on
Edit:truthfully selecting the permanent root option is a bad Idea because windows stupid drivers do not know how to adjust to the sudden change of drivers.. because your driver needs to change from android adb composite interface to android adb interface thus confusing windows and how the utility is supposed to properly run my guess is very likey if you cant get your drivers sorted you will need to take alternate routes.. may even require the purchase of a factory cable to implement a fix...
well that doesn't do anything because my kindle wont connect to the computer
i have tried turning it off and on and i think it stopped installing because it disconnected and it wont reconnect

Hi, I'm Aareon. I've read in multiple places that 6.3.3 can be downgraded to 6.3.2, but I've read elsewhere that 6.3.3 doesn't work with KFU (Kindle Fire Utility). From experience, I've noticed that KFU 0.9.6 doesn't work with the Boot Status of 6.3.3. It is imperative that Boot Status displays correctly in-order for the rest of the software to function appropriately.
I guess my ultimate question is; 'Am I wasting my time?'
Please, legitimate answers preferably with explanation, of some sort.
P.S. I've seen the 6.3.3 pre-rooted update, but that requires TWRP, which I've explained my plight above.

Yes, I do in-fact have a fastboot cable. It came with my mail delivery purchase of N2Aos. My next question is, I don't understand why, when I tell KFU to send my Kindle into Normal mode, it says 'waiting on device' forever. Also, if I try installing TWRP after I think I've gotten myself into fastboot, it says 'can't write to bp1, panic'. This goes for every time I've tried. Have I missed a step in your tutorial, or what?
I wouldn't use KFU, just the ade/fastboot.exe files from KFU
did you watch my video?
If using KFU, try power off kindle, connect fastboot cable, to both kindle/pc, wait a sec, start KFU, select install TWRP (not root)

Bp1, panic is because of how KFU is trying to set the boot, ode which is no longer possible on 6.3.3 if you are using your so called fastboot cable correctly it will work. I say so called because there are alot of fakes and knockoffs out there that simply do not work. In order to get a real fastboot cable to work power off the device hook one end to the pc 2.0 usb port only then plug to the device it will go straight to fastboot. If that fails shift plus right click on the tools folder in KFU and select open command window here. In terminal type
Code:
fastboot getvar product
then insert the cable to a powered off device. If again it fails then in the terminal type
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
and insert cable to powered off device. All these attempts and still nothing question the validity of your cable and get one that works from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 post#9.

Is there a way to test, besides using the kindle, whether a fastboot cable works or not?
Is this what you bought? N2Aos(TM) - Convert your Kindle Fire into a Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Android Tablet (Includes USB Cable)
If so, that is not a Fastboot cable
---------- Post added at 09:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:32 PM ----------
just a standard usb data cable.

if it is a Fastboot cable, when you power off, connect fastboot cable to Kindle then PC, Kindle will start to boot, and stop at Kindle Fire Boot Logo (except it actually fastboot mode). and stay there.
Drivers on the pc will not matter at this point, because it the power to 5th pin that causes it to boot to fastboot mode.

How do you know it is a standard usb cable. On the package it said fastboot cable included.
Is this correct? Without USB plugged, during boot, my Kindle loads the 'kindle fire' splash. It then sticks there for about 2-3 seconds, then it dims. 2-3 seconds later, the screen flashes, and again 2-3 seconds later it flashes again. 2-3 seconds later the 'shine marquee' proceeds. About 60 seconds later the unlock screen shows up. For some reason, even after plugging in my 'fastboot cable' it does the same. But I noticed that the first time the screen flashes, some small white text pops-up quickly and then disappears on the right side of the screen.
