Does anyone have a Stock Nandroid Backup that I can use?? - HTC One X

Hey all,
Is there anyone out there who is on T-Mobile UK and has a stock nandroid backup for the following version (1.29.110.1), I've had no luck with the RUU's and I really need to go back to full stock asap because I'm selling the phone. I
heres the info for my phone:
Currently running a custom rom (Android Revolution HD 7.2.1)
CID: T-MOB005
HBOOT: 0.96.0000
RADIO: 1.1204.103.14

Why don't you reset it?
Open it in bootloader, and to factory reset

Doesn't factory reset just wipe your data and settings? I basically just want to have the default kernel and Rom on my phone that was on there when I purchased the phone..factory reset doesn't do that.

Have you tried searching, I believe there are quite a few available in the forums. Exactly what went wrong with the RUU? I have a stock nandroid backup on my phone, unfortunaly I wont be home until Thursday, and where I'm at the internet is really crap.

I've looked all over the place but can't find a thing, the reason why the RUU's provided in the rom collection forum don't work is because they are of a lower version and my hboot version is higher than those provided in the lower versions, and because s-off hasn't been achieved on the HTC one x yet I can't downgrade my hboot version therefore I can't downgrade my firmware. I'm stuck to either getting a ruu version that's the same as the firmware version I'm running currently or a newer version which match my cid. As of now there's no such ruu available so therefore I'm stuck to going back to stock via the nandroid backup method.

Well, if it's not a hurry I can probably upload my nandroid backup by friday. Are you sure it will work with another ones backup?

Yes it will work but only if firstly were both on the same network (I.e T-Mobile UK) and you haven't changed the name of the folder which contains the backup if that folder name is changed its pretty much useless. Thanks a bunch if you do share it, you've saved me a lot of hassle

Ah, then it probably wont work, my HOX is locked to 3Sweden. It sounds like yours is unlocked, isn't it?

Its ok I managed to get a back up from someone else who was on the same network as me, thank you for your help though

Happy it worked out! Never funny to think that your mobile is broken, especially when it costs like 700$. Glad to help!

[Q] How to extract original stock Rom?

How to extract stock Rom? The case is that I haven't done backup of my stock Rom branded by era provider.
Now some guy told me that he just bought desire z from era and his Rom is identical to RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.2_R_Radio_12.28e.60.14 0f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF_release (available on this forum)
except radio code which is ending with fU instead f.
So if I would like to get Rom which is flashed on his device, to have exactly what was on mine on the beginning what and how it should be done?

Ok thanks it is for sure usefully guide but I'd like to know how to retrieve or backup stock Rom from the phone with original stock?

Ok, if I understand you right, you currently have a phone with stock ROM, and you want to take a backup of that phone, correct?
If that's the case, I think you'll still need to root the phone in order to install Clockwork recovery. Once you have Clockwork, then you can take a nandroid backup of your phone. So I don't think you can grab a backup of stock ROM before it was rooted.

Yeah so this a problem. During rooting it is necessary to downgrade your soft to 1.34 what automatically force you to loose your stock Rom. :/

Oh right, now I remember. I think if you can't find the exact RUU, you're out of luck. What do you want that backup for anyway?

No no I wanted only to have a possibility to back to the stock Rom if my phone will have to be sent to service on warranty.
I know one guy from Poland who also bought a phone from the same telcom operator - era.
He gave me info that the stock Rom on his phone is:
12.28e.60.140fU_26.04.02.17_M2
While on the forum can be find the same but with one difference in radio code - only f instead fU
12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2 and can be found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879384
But what does it mean this difference mentioned above and if it is negligible or not?

Well, unless you've flashed a custom radio, another option could be to extract everything from that RUU you found in the forum and flashing everything except the radio.
Although if you want to send your phone for warranty you'll probably have to do a bit more work to get s-on again...

I've flashed two ROMs first one was CM7-R2 and then I've decided to use Virtuous 1.0.1. I don't know if during that process also radio was flashed :/ Was it? I am new Android so I don't know some things yet.

I'm quite sure that flashing those ROMs do not change your radio. So if you need to send for warranty, I think you'll just need to flash the ROM part of the RUU (should be able to find a post somewhere which tells you how to extract just certain parts of the RUU) and then reflash partition 7 to get S-OFF. If you used gfree, it would have made a backup of that partition before it gave you S-OFF. Hopefully you still have it.
Actually, have you taken a look at this?

[Q] To-do before rooting

I was getting to root my OneX and I just water some help on things to do before.
Original RUU, I tried looking that original ROM thread's and couldn't find 1.29.720.11. Nor did I find the stock recovery for it. Where can I find these? I need them to go back to stock, right?
Also, once I go to HTCDev, and unlock. Can I flash CWM directly form fastboot or do I need to something else?
Then do a nandroid backup.
And flash.
Am I missing something?
You are perfect. Don't forget to take nandroid backup.

Can I extract the recovery and RUU from my phone?
Take a look here http://hoxroms.serveftp.com/ then you will find what you need
Or if you see here http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/ you may also find some...
nope not available there, in the same position as OP, dont know what to do

I have, i made that mistake...i accidentlly rooted with 1.29.720.11 and bricked my phone and now i am looking for the same RUU but unable to find it anywhere....does it mean that i am doomed till the time it's out?
Or there a way anyone can upload their stock rom which i can use?
Please help anyone...i dunno what to do!!!

Friend has Int. version and installed incorrect rom. How do you recover?

A friend of mine has the international version. He tried to install a rom without fully understanding the procedure. Think he installed an incorrect rom. He can get to the stock recovery screen but cannot go passed it. How can he re-install the factory international rom or revert back to the phone prior to making changes?
Any links or advice is appreciated!
What rom did he install?
Try running the RUU to revert back to stock rom:

Run the RUU If he hasn't installed CWM then he should be fine otherwise flash stock recovery. RUU will install the stock rom.

Sorry bro, I bought my HOX in Vegas last week and loooove it!
I do have a friend (who is probably reading this post) who is in another country (hence, the international version) who did flash a rom and not exactly sure what was involved. Just trying to help him out. I've had my share of rom issues on previous phones.
*Edit* I understand what happened. My friend flashed his phone with another rom, without installing a custom recovery.

Whatever, just ask your friend to goto bootloader and connect the phone to PC, just relock the bootloader and after that Flash the stock RUU. It should be specific like for me in India, we have to flash 1.2x.720.10 RUU. So check yours and flash. No need to worry if you can go to bootloader and relock it.
Thanks for the help. My buddy is back online. Time for a beer!

[Q] Unbranding HOX without S-OFF

Hi everybody,
I know this sounds like the tipical question and up until some days ago, I thought I had the answer too....
But reading some posts lately, I now have a doubt and I really wanted to ask this directly:
Is it possible to unbrand an HOX (3 UK), even if we don't have S-OFF yet?
I thought that, being that without SOFF the radio wouldn't be accessible, it would not be possible to completely unbrand anything....
But then in some recent post someone mentioned that in the HOX the radio is in the ROM so it can be actually overriden....
So, if I unlock through htcdev, and install any of those ROMs based on newer RUUs and Radios, will it work? The radio too?
Any downside to this approach? (beside warranty, of course)
Thank you for the clarifications....
No it is not possible to flash a different RUU without S-OFF
You can run custom, though
I cant find the way to ask a question so i will ask here ...... I want to update my evo 3d to 4.0 , i finished downloading successufly but when i try to install it the phone powers off and takes me to bootloader menu(that i unlock it then relock it) i reboot the phone but
The update dosent appear ...helppp

Ok, so this is what I knew....but what will the custom rom override the radio??
3UK phone have specific radios, I think, so what if I install a custom rom based on a newer RUU with a newer radio? What wil it happen??
Thank you!

Somebody will correct me if i'm wrong but I am 99% sure that the radios are the same fot 3uk as for any other provider. The radio's are provided by htc.
Custom rom's will be fine, the only thing that you can't do brandwise is sim unlock until s-off is achieved.
you can unlock bootloader, install custom recovery, install root, change CID, restore stock recovery, relock bootloader and install unbranded RUU
I did this on two One S and the procedure is the same for the One X

Won't work, people have tried and failed. Something to do with the tegra 3 and new security measures implemented by HTC. You can edit the cid but on reboot it will be back to normal

I don't have the technical reasons to hand ( something to do with the partitions being different I think ) but it's all down to this being tegra3 based
In the general forum the is a massive thread where this has been discussed many time.

[Q] Flashing o2 recovery

I am wanting to go back to a stock recovery from TWRP. as Im going to pass this M8 on and buy and unlocked one, so...
my phone is:
Unlocked Bootloader,
Rooted with SUper SU
Using TWRP
My M8 is still S-ON and still has O2s stock 4.20.201.6 (LP 501) rom on it.
Ive found a nandroid backup from O2 from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
extracted the recovery, but its 1.54.206.5
Would it be safe to flash through fastboot or would i need the matching recovery for the rom
Or because I havent done anything to the rom itself, can I simply restore recovery
Any Advice would be great
Thanks
EDIT
Hmm.... As I havent actually done anything to it, it looks like I just have to UnRoot the M8.,

Not so far as Im aware. I know Samsung include an "Easy Mode" on their devices, but i cant remember one on the M8.. Ive checked in Both "Personalise" and "Display" in Settings, but I cant see an Easy mode.
Unless it was removed in LP 501, I dont know
It should be under Settings>Personalise>Home (or it is for me on the unbranded 4.16.401.10 build)
Ah I'm o2 branded so I presume o2 took it out or mine has bug it runs perfect no issues at all just no Easymode tried installing Google now launcher see if that made it shows to no avail and I'm 4.20.206.1 Build

You're not the first to say it's missing in a branded device. TBH it's not even worth worrying about, it's pretty useless!
Why not just try and get s-off? You will then be able to have an unlocked device.
