[Q] Transparent Notification Bar

I'm currently running SkyRaider's 3.1 Sense rom on my Incredible but im having issues with random reboots, etc. I tired Virtuous 2.7 rom and its ridiculously smooth. The only thing that really bugs me about that rom is the notification bar. I hate the stock one now that ive gotten so used to the transparency. I used the Incredible Revolution theme and the notification bar was fine but i wasnt really feeling the whole red colored theme. If someone can help me out with making a zip file for a transparent notification bar like the one in SkyRaiders rom i will definitely consider buying you a beer. =P haha

if youre talking about the actual bar itself and not the notification area background, i've already done it. search dude, it helps.

im talking aboout the pull down menu that has the notifications. ive only found one with a 50% shade.

I'm also searching for this.

I would also like an easy way to modify the transparency on the notifications pull down. I haven't found an easy way yet (other than begging a dev to do it )

There is a post somewhere with a flashable file for this

what roms are you guys running? i figured out how to do it.

skyraider 3.3.2 - have you figured out how to change the color yet?

please tell how to do transparent! the only flashable zip of it i could find only works with the stock sense launcher and still didnt work too well

Hi! I am new to the DInc but am loving it rooted. (Huge step up from the Eris...LOL) I am loving the MIUI ROM so far but there are some aspects of a 100% Vanilla ROM that I'd really like. I have downloaded/installed CM6 (which I understand is the only true Vanilla ROM available - dialer specifically) but I'm wondering if there is a theme available that looks like the MUIU ROM - you know, the rounded iPhone type icons.
If no themes are available is there a way to change my current icons to the MIUI-type icons?

You could always use LauncherPro. It allows for replacing the icons on your screens with a custom icon.

Good idea. Any suggestions on where to find custom icons?

I know if no other way... you cannot make a theme to automatically change different icons... it is all done in the framework... I am actually trying to develop a cross breed of miui and skyraider.. it is not working out so well.. anybody else on this?

The market is a great place to start If I'm not mistaken, adw.launcher has a variety of ipod/ipad-espue icons, which is what MIUI is based off of hope this info helps!

Is there anyway to remove the battery icon from the task bar on top???
i know jugg have the rom control where you can hide it. but since im switching over to a differnt rom i need to know if theres a .zip file that could do that.
im used to using miui battery bar. but i dun need 2 battery icons...

There's a paid app in the market called ROM Toolbox that can change your battery icon. It works with every ROM I've tried so far.
If you want to really customize it and don't mind having something else running on your phone all day you can try Super Statusbar as well, it comes with a built in MIUI bar.
Both come as free versions so you can test them out first.

Some of the icon changer won't work I've noticed you can only change the symbol if it has the symbol in ROM toolbox

I don't know what you mean? How would you have 2 battery icons? You can use uot kitchen and make your own battery

The MIUI battery bar runs horizontally across the top of your screen above your statusbar, so to have a second icon IN the status bar would be redundant in the OP's eyes. :beer:

Yea but the OP would have to modify some smali code which isnt very easy.

This worked for me. If you can decompile/compile smali, it's easy to edit.

[Q] Help with removing statusbar battery

Would anyone please help with removing the statusbar battery. I use batterybar instead and would like to unclutter the statusbar of it.

Yeah, but I was looking to get rid of the icon itself. Like I used to do with Jkay's Deluxe Settings on the S2. Ah, the good ole days!
I'm sure I could just go into the system and blank out the 100 icons, but that would leave a blank space still on the statusbar, I'm thinking.
Wish I knew how to safely eliminate the icon completely.

I would like to find out how to do this as well. Or at the very least be able to use a battery icon theme that has all
100 increments.
Tried using rom toolbox to do this but it only lets me use icons with increments of 20

My new theme will be ready this week for
Truth77 thunder rom....ive included no battery icon..and just leave your percentage % on..and it will look like this ..am attempting to make this unversal for 4.1.2 but is directed for my buddies first. Check there for It..heres what mines looks line so far.

I'm on Jedi X6 with various mods and it running great, as most of the roms here are.
I like the look and features of the Thunder rom and will get on it as soon as you give us the nod on your changes.

Just tried thunder yesterday - awesome job man - looks great and runs damn smooth.

How do you change status bar text color?

I'd like to change my time in the upper right corner to a light blue color but I can't seem to find any way to do so. I have seen in screenshots that jellybean 4.2 has this built in but I am running 4.1.2. Any help would be appreciated.

u need root ur phone...to install various status bar icon n mny else or u can try editing some files which is bit confusing.....

Im already rooted running cleanrom 4.5. I tried using the rom toolkit but could only change the battery icon. I guess I gotta replace the systemui
