I love my MIUI, been using bulletproof quite some time now. I just found, and flashed Galnet MIUI whit ICS framework. It has same miui UI, and basically nothing visible has changed.

What does it exactly mean that rom has framework from ics and rest old stuff? whats the new stuff in this kind of rom(what the framework does?)?
Hi,
I'm running Black Ice - and the ROM itself is good, but I'm not a huge fan of the skin. The lockscreen is very dark and the symbols have changed, and also the statusbar has different icons which I'm not that keen on.
How can I restore the default cyanogenmod theme, is there a flashable zip that removes all of the custom skins?
Thanks
You should just switch back to cyanogen. Devs take a base and add a theme to it because they are targeting a specific look. If its not for you then switch to something else. If there are other themes available for a Rom they will be posted in op or someone in thread will post a working one. I don't think they are interested in going for the cyanogen look since cyanogen already has the vanilla look down.
I know the black ice devs don't want the vanilla look, and I'm ok with that. But you can skin roms in different ways, so surely one is the default cyanogenmod look?
The thread mentions copying systemui.apk and framework-res.apk but I'm not having any luck.
And blackice has some great tweaks, which is why I'm using it
Black ice is derived from cyanogen so you should be able to extract those two files from framework in cyanogen and push them to your phone and then reboot. What problems are you experiencing while trying this? You could try using the kitchen to swap the files.
Hi people/
Actually I try to make my ICS stock rom as close as AOSP look, just for the notification bar and maybe icons.
I decompile the SystemUI.apk and surprise I found the AOSP ICS icons in here. So SE have put there UI by some tweak or app ?
How can I simply replace the SE UI by the AOSP one ?
Thanks guys.
Cheers.
I have an Arc S (LT18i) with unlocked bootloader and all that ****.
But, that´s not the problem. My problem is, or, to be honest, my wonders, is this:
In all MIUI-roms i´ve used, on various phones, have 2 specific thing that drives me F-ING CRAZYYYY!!
1. Transparent statusbar. I hate it. I want it black, like in menus, NOT transparent.
2. When applying themes, that comes with modified statusbar icons, like signal and battery, it NEVER changes. Allways the usuall MIUI style.
How can i get an BLACK, SOLID statusbar and how to make statusbar icons change as they should?
Tips that leads to my "problems" get fixed, will lead to an donation in the amount of 20 Euros (or the matching amount in your currency)
Please help me, i´m about to redecorate my walls with my phone.
Phone: LT18i (Arc S)
ROM: MIUI Scotland V4 Downloads 2.6.1 for LT18i
My mood: Not great!
Fisrt of all, what MIUI rom do you run? MIUI v4(Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich) or MIUI GB? They both have different theme files, so if you install a MIUI GB theme file on MIUI v4, it will only affect icons and lockscreen, but not frameworks(for instance, status bar); and vice versa.
1: Install a compatible theme. If you're running MIUI v4, go here. If you're running MIUI GB, then find yourself a MIUI theme from the XDAs Theming forum(just make sure it doesn't read MIUI v4)
2: ^
EDIT: Whoops, you already mentioned you are running MIUI v4...
As far as I know, framework-res.apk contains all graphics resources used in rom such as statusbar icons and stuff. Is it possible to replace ugly GB framework with nice lookingICS framework? Will this work and change the look of oxygen rom to ics one?
try Mildwild rom ... it has ICS skin
I tried it but I did not liked it, anway thanks for response
