My Galaxy Nexus has very weak wifi signals even though I'm about 20ft away from my router. This has happened since i got the phone and flashed a rom. People say that flashing a new radio helps? Anyone? Thank you in advance.

How does this help me? Sorry for the noob question. I can't seem to find the radio on looking for my problems. Do you know which one is for the USA gsm version. Thank you for the quick reply.

I think I'm correct in saying you need to download and flash the XXLF1 radio if you don't have it as thats the latest, I'm presuming you're using a GSM Nexus?
What is your current baseband/radio?

I've heard though that wi-fi is not on the baseband but on the kernel instead, so that won't help.
I tried a couple of different basebands (UGLC1, UGLA4, XXLF1) and none of them helped the wifi reception. Going back to ICS 4.0.4 did.
The thing is that I'm already on ics with akosp and my wifi reception is pretty terrible. I also am using Franco nightlies #196 with 384 gpu

So I just got a new unlocked Galaxy Nexus that I'm using it with Koodo and for some reason, when I try to look at the weather using network and not GPS, it doesn't work! What's wrong with my phone, is it the carrier? What should I do if I don't want to root my phone? Thanks a ton
Btw, my Galaxy Nexus is running 4.0.1 stock ICS

Update to 4.0.4 and see if that helps. Just download the .zip, flash clockword mod recovery and apply from sd via CMR. No root needed

Try setting your postal code to retrieve weather info instead of auto-location.

I flashed the radio that came out as soon as jelly bean was announced and haven't had issues with t-mobile, I'm not sure which one exactly but do remember it was in the thread for first jb rom.

I noticed this is for European base bands, is this fine even tho I'm in the US?
Oh really? Just Google search for it.
This is the radio packaged with yakju-takju. I'm on T-Mobile US with no problems.

The radio performance on different ROMs shouldn't differ. Just test the radios and see which one works well in your area.
