You can download the drivers off the Samsung website http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SPH-L700ZKASPR
I did and when they try to install I get the error in the picture above

Do you have any other mobile phone drivers installed? Also did you reboot after installing the drivers? Maybe try uninstalling... reboot... reinstalling reboot. And then try to plug the phone in and make sure it picks up the phone.

I am sure there are a lot of other phone drivers on there including my most recent phone prior to gnex which was gs2 I didn't even think about that.how do I delete old drivers tho?

If you had an installer it usually has an uninstaller. And yes the GS2 drivers will cause conflict. Uninstall them.

Seen it before... windows is VERY picky about mobile drivers. This should fix the first issue. The other issue about ...waiting for device might not be solved just yet. But there's a fix for that too.

1 you don't flash this. You install this as a regular app.
2. Its just a few bug fix to view all apps installed on your account on the all tabs etc .. Google just pushed the update to devices...

I'm at work so as soon ad I very home I'll try it. I odined back too stock and got all the software updates but not the download drivers notification. I did a factory reset to. Funny thing happened tothat I didn't mention. I deleted the drivers cause I noticed it wasn't recognizing my phone after trying it like 3 times. So I odined twice and on the second time it recognized it without the drivers installed. Now that knew gout me scratching my head.

This is not a problem with my phone its a friends.
He has tried every cm9 stable, cm10, and other roms to see if it would fix he tried Odin back to stock but his phone wouldn't show up. He has all the drivers installed. But mounting mass storage just doesn't work. I've read a few threads where people say its a bug with t-989 but I'm not sure cause I don't own the phone.
Once again this is not my phone its a friends. I own a skyrocket he owns t989. Just trying to figure it out for him. Thanks for your support.
Edit: oh and it does charge through USB port just doesn't mount.

ok i went through this 3 times, 1 sprints note to root, and atnt's, and then back to sprint again and im not sure exactly how i did it each time but heres what i did .........in no particular order but im pretty sure i did the root kit drivers first all 3 times.....that didnt work out for file mode so then i tried the naked driver......after restarting i remember uninstalling and checking delete driver for whatever said android or Samsung but not ADB....and then be4 i restarted i redid the naked driver......restarted.......then plug in phone and whatever ur on wither that mtp **** or the camera one under storage in settings or where ever the hell it is....switch it....wait a bit look at if windows is doing any driver installing...when done or if not, go back to mtp ....and that worked for me all 3 times on the same pc with windows 7........ohh and also the samsung driver stuff with all that kies stuff was installed also but i dont remember what order......hope that helps.....if u understood it....lol
Not sure if this helps but I experienced the same problem. I was using a different usb cable and as soon as I switched to the original cable that came with my phone it worked
