Random battery percentage drop? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Im running calks 3.0 with gunslinger with the aggressive tweak. When I reboot my phone the battery will drop in huge amounts. For instance I was at 44 percent then the reboot. When it came back on I was at 7 percent life. Any ideas how to fix?

Interesting, you actually recover somewhat after the drop. Mine would be somewhere below 15% and continue to drop from there.

I have that issue as well. I ran battry calibration app from the market. it wipes the battery stats and lets the rom rebuild new ones. it helps. I don't have that issue as much unless im flashing a new kernel.

Battery Life Poor on Blazer 1.6

When I first installed this rom, my battery life was great. Now, I think something is wrong because the battery life has been running out faster than normal. For example, this is my battery just today:
I am using the freeza dual core fix and I just recalibrated my battery last night. Does anyone know what could be causing the poor battery life?
A rouge app. Or your settings.

I looked at better battery stats app and there are no rogue apps running. My settings are good too. I'm so confused.

I know it was. Everyone's is. Except mine :/
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
try flash a different radio or try a different rom. you will see different battery result.
Mines is OK.... in 14 hrs I had left 45% left ..

I just flashed the new radio so I'll see if that helps. So far, I got 12 hours of battery with 3 hours screen time, which is still pretty bad

Battery

Hello all I started this so we all can get a idea on what the mv s should be after a full charge. If your like me and swap batteries back and forth this might be good info. So please put what type of battery you are using and let us know what your mv is when charge is complete and when its dead. You can use any battery calibration tool to show results. Screenshots are fine aswell. Thanks to all that participated.

In regards to swapping, there's nothing better than an old fashioned wife swap but this will do too.

I would imagine that like all other lipo cells they register 4.2v charged and 3.2v discharged. Really don't want to exceed those numbers

Well the one I use is pretty much the Deep Sleep Battery Saver. And tweaking a few settings should do the trick.. Hope that helps..

There is no app for replacing a worn out battery.
If your phone is a year old or close to it, if your a flashaholic, you need a new battery.
Remove your battery and place in a flat surface, if it wobbles and you can spin it like a top, you need a new battery.
Make sure you spin it clockwise! !
If you spin it counter clockwise steve jobs will poltergiest out of your oven and eat your Epic Touch.
Pp.

Battery life...

Okay I've been reading reviews on people getting 20 hours on battery with the same usage as I am, but my battery dies around 12-15 hours which I think is pretty good. Well I'll post up screenies to show you guys. Just checking if my battery life is normal before jumping ahead and buying a new battery.

I'm getting about that with about 6 hours of audio play mixed in.

May I ask how battery life is on AOSP roms, like cm?
So what's the overall way to increase battery without disabling the awesome features of this phone? I read in this thread to over charge for an hour or two, but in another thread it says not to over charge the battery... I'm confused

It all depends on how you use your phone. If you have a bunch of apps synching, terrible reception, and the screen on the brightest setting all the time you most likely won't get good battery life. I'm more than happy coming from the Nexus 4 though. That phone had horrendous battery life.

I could get a full days use with my nexus 4 and only use like 40% tasker can work wonders. I'm going to try to it on my s 4 when I let the battery settle from all my changing apps and flashing

Interesting... I use my phone A LOT though and the S4 has impressed me since day one. My nexus dies in a little over a day with no use at all.

I just set up my galaxy s 4 to do the same, I'll try it for a few days. I just use tasker to set it to turn off internet unless I have an app open which requires it.
You can set it to turn on internet and sync at intervals too.
I didnt really change anything. Shut off all features. Brightness like 25%. But I did underclock to 1.3ghz. Which stilll ran really smooth.

Just do what I do. I use an old car battery and I soldered leads into the back of the phone. Sure, my arms get tired and people stare at me in Wal-Mart... but I NEVER run out of battery. :good:

My battery started this all at once. HELP

Fully charged 12 minutes ago. Rebooted phone and battery went even lower. Why is it doing this? It started doing this and progressively got worse when I recently installed AOKP again but didn't do this before. Should I re-install? Would that help? I've had random bugs before from aokp. But not sure if this is part of it.

It's a problem with your UI. It gets confused and the battery percentage goes off. Calibrating it has been proven a myth.
