PLEASE HELP. How can I change custom boot sound volume? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

I've installed a custom boot sound on my S2 (Playstation 2 start up sound ) but it's quite quiet.
Does anyone know how to make it louder?
Help would be much appreciated
Thank you

hello there.. I think u can't make the custom boot sound louder.. there's no option for that. try changing other boot sounds and test. hope that helps.

As far as I know the boot sound volume adapts to the system sound volume.
If it still is too quiet use a audio editor like Audacity to raise the volume.
Here is a good tutorial showing how to amplify a track:

Audacity is freeware so you'll find it in no time using Google.

In call volume too LOUD

Talking on the phone practically makes my ears bleed it is so LOUD. Does anyone know of an app that allows you to lower the volume beyond what the normal settings allow for? Is there any other way to accomplish this task? Voodoo sound doesnt seem to make any difference on call volume, even when I am using headphones on the call. Thanks!

I think that controls the mic gain, not the earpiece.

I have always been able to adjust the call volume via the side volume controls, when in a call
Ie: when on a call, turn the volume down the same way you would the ringer using the side buttons, and instead of seeing the media volume change, you should see incall volume adjusted

Yeah I do that but even at the lowest setting it is obnoxiously loud.

maybe your ears are just overly sensitive or something is messed up on your phone, rom, kernel, something... wipe and fresh flash see if your problem persists. I can turn the volume down below my level of hearing, but I also have slightly damaged ears from too much gun-play without hearing protection.
I would love to know why its loud.....cause i want to make mine louder....i think im going deaf

Switching to CM7 seems to have fixed the issue somewhat though the volume controls in call are a bit eratic now. I am pretty sure it was rom related as it happened to me on 2 of marcusant's roms. Maybe he likes loud calls lol.

Try the volume+ app in the market. He has free and paid versions but you can get the paid verszion for free on his website.

I believe the fix that worked for me was to disable hifi record in the voodoo control settings. Hope this helps!
Record settings in voodoo seem only to control mic gain (or mic loss, when I enable them no one can hear me! ). My earpiece is also obnoxiously loud in calls- on every GB rom I have tried. I would definitely like a fix for this.
No amount of wiping and flashing between multiple GB roms has ever fixed this.

disabling the Voodoo hi-fi play and record settings definitely fixed the loud call audio problem for me in gingerbread on the epic, sorry it's not working for you.

If you think this phone's speaker is to low, try using an HTC phone! Their speakers are pathetic!

This phone has great speaker volume ! if you think this is bad, the HTC Sensation must permanently be speaker less in your possession
I came from the sensation and the speaker was pathetic. GS2 blows it. Although i would still like it louder lol

Any updates on this? Maybe using service mode? I can get into service mode with *#*#197328640#*#* but I cant make any changes that do anything (actually one time I made it so speaker or handset did not work at all but a restart fixed it).

Try louder volume hack or volume + from the market. Just be warned you can eff up the speaker permanently by altering the stock levels. Then you will be even happier with a blown mobile speaker lol.

So.. I don't mean to sound like a troll at all, so please don't take it this way... Just a serious question...
When you are on a call... You can use the volume rocker to lower your in call volume. Have you tried that?
Also, rooting in and of itself shouldn't cause any changes to the phone other than granting super user privileges.

Another option would be do a factory reset and see what that does for you.

First thing I thought of too. Why not just lower the volume?

Is there any way to boost the headphone and speaker volume without a custom kernel?

Is it possible? I find the Stock kernel to be most stable and fast, but the low audio output on headphone especially for some formats forced me to use some custom kernels. But I ultimately came back to stock kernel today. So is there any way to boost the headphone and speaker volume without the help of a custom kernel? Any app or anything? I'd really like to have one!
I can always change the gain.dB file but it's needless to say it's a weird process in middle is something, especially while you're watching a movie or something. So that slider is needed, preferably in an app, so that it could be changed on the fly. Should've the range from 55-63 dB for speaker and 50-63 dB for headphones and all.
Thanks in advance.

How could you increase the speakerphone volume with it mate? If I enable speaker then the speaker volume increases indeed, but only when I'm playing a movie or music, but the ringtone volume is unchanged at any settings! Is that how it works?

Yeah thanks pal, but I really didn't wanna go the custom kernel way.
So this mod won't work for increased ringtone volume? I don't know, but even the lock screen sliding effect sound is boosted a lot but why not the ringtone!

Buddy please Disable the increasing ring tone with Xposed Framework or SF or an app from Google play that will boot your Phone sound.

For past three or so months I've disabled that thingy, actually I haven't, I think ARHD comes with it being disabled by default. That's why when I enabled it in Xposed didn't notice any difference.

I need a mod which increases the loudness of the one by at least twice.. I no there is already a mod here.. But it doesn't suit my needs.. Is there any other mod I can use? Or probably any app? Thanks...

You could flash and try the boomsound mod or flash PureXaudio, it really does improve the sound and makes it louder.

I have an s2... Which has had its volume increased by quite a lot.. And its lowest is like the max I would get before flashing that mod.. It works perfectly fine.. No damage to the speakers.. And if that phone can handle it.. I am sure this one can surely do..

The Devs and app designers on here have a fairly good idea of the max levels of the boomsound speakers,as the speakers pass their optimal performance level, sound ehancements and audio boosting mods simply distort the speakers.....until they go POP, there was a mod being worked on a while ago, where we trialed different adjustments to various files to improve loudness and quality and tested multiple music players, recording sound level(db) output, the loudest music player, with greatest adjustment was PowerAmp, full version, dunno if this helps, just my offering
Ill have a look to see if the guy is still working on files, or whether or not its workable with the new updated 4.2 onwards
ok here's the thread, not been updated recently - but Justin hasnt got his phone sorted yet - have a little look HERE may be what your after or may help
