Hey guys, since a clean ROM was finally released:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741775
I think it's time for someone to cook a clean speed rom. That means:
Deodexed
Zip Aligned
Newest Radio
1113Mhz UV-OC
Interactive scaling mode
Market Fixed
Do not touch HBOOT
No bootsound
Optional A2SD+ EXT4
EXT4 SD Card format support
Optionally move apps to internal NAND flash.
Optimized RAM for speed.
About 64-128MB SWAP.
Kernel optimization
Maybe more 720p FPS? Better quality?
Busybox
And that means:
Do NOT put vanilla Launcher -.-'
Do NOT put N1 Gallery there -.-;
Do NOT put random explorer -.-.
Do NOT put other keyboards -.- (unless it's newest swype)
+1
camille93
Maybe its time for you to do it yourself?
Sorry if that sounds rude, but people who release rom's will make it to how they like it.
and please usefull things .... like CIFS support ... not wasting energy on putting unusefull (and not updateable) apps into rom ...
CIFS would be great ! (mount Windows-SMB shares on SDCARD gives so many goodies on your 1,5T sdcard ...8) )

Forget about most kernel tweaks until HTC releases kernel source...

It's all the **** YOU want in the ROM so you better make the ROM yourself.... and here's a nice little smilie for you to understand it better: -.-
EDIT: OH, before I forget: most of the things you want are not possible... for kernel tweaks you have to wait for the new sources, and moving apps from EXT to internal without recovery mode... you're kidding right?
LOL, as pretty much everyone kindly explained, this is your preference.
So feel free to cook it yourself. I'd may give a try.
Just count it as a suggestion for cookers.
And I am currently not interested in learning ROM cooking, I am currently much more interested in game programming. So no. And btw it's not just my preference.
This is for virgin mobile cdma marvelc phones only. I'm not responsible for you bricking your phone.
I understand Simon already has a ROM like this of his own. This is mostly just so I can gain the experience.
This is the stock ROM for HTC Wildfire S on virgin mobile usa with some custom changes applied. This is the first ROM I've ever built so I hope you enjoy it.
Changes include:
V3
fixed issue with sound sets (hopefully)
V2
fixed missing dialer
removed facebook, weather and twitter for extra space you can add them back if you want from market
fixed an issue with camera
fixed music issue
more junk apps removed
V1
rooted
busybox installed
removed Sense
removed all HTC junk apps
added ADW Launcher
added links2sd
Available internal memory with this is 88MB on my phone compared to the 30MB I got from the stock ROM.
To install, simply copy to sd card and install from recovery menu. Don't forget to wipe caches.
To take advantage of links2sd make sure you have an extra partition on your sd card. I suggest it be about 1GB in size formatted to fat32. Of course you can have whatever size you see fit.
Please report any bugs. I really appreciate all the help guys.

Great to read that more and more people start developing CMDA ROM's
Waiting for something incredible.
Oc ? Since there's no sense screenshots please.
Sent from my HTC_A510c using XDA
i have light edited a ROM, from the Official Gingerbread Sense 2.1 from Neophytex360
i would make eith other members a installable ROM for the Desire, why?
the ROM from Neophytex360 is old has the old market and apps that is not usable for young peoples. or have too many widgets and apps
the target of the ROM is to make an updated and simplyfi ROM for young peoples
only remove old apps and add new apps
for example: removed friendstream + widget, appsharer, footprints, stocks,
and update market to play store.
is this interesting to start to create the ROM ?
than i would uploading my editet Backup ROM, but sorry this is not for install or ?! i dont know ow grab the ROM from the phone
sorry for my bad english, im german
Go ahead and upload in the dev section. People who want to try will give it a shot.
By the way, two major problems with the stock ROM were low internal memory and the lock screen that used to unlock while pulling the phone out of the pocket.
If you can address these Iam sure there would be many takers.
Good luck!

To "extract" your rom, just copy "system" and whatever you need with root explorer and paste them on your sdcard.
Lockscreen Low memory
ok with the the lockscreen i will put an app, the lockscreen 3.0
and for the low memory i will put an extra link for mount2sd

You could've posted in other threads as well.

the lightest Sense ROM with no tweaks no mods or others, just update the apps )
Hello all,
Cause my wife's gio is very slow, I want to try another rom. But there is only 1 problem... she doesn't like the qwerty-keyboard. She still use the "oldschool" keyboard with only numbers and T9.
There are some apps in the market with the same option, but because of all the extra options on the keyboards, the keys are smaller.
Is there someone who can help me with an apk for the stockrom?
I hope!
Thank you!
Settings - Language and Keyboard Settings - Samsung keypad - Potrait keypad types - select 3x4 keypad
And then enable xt9 and what not
Is this what you want ?
Also if you want a fast rom i`d recommend Adrenaline / Enhanced 2.3.6 / DebianDroid Lenny whichever suits you
These roms don`t change the stock keyboard but if you choose a rom that does , just flash this http://www.mediafire.com/?xx7snt4kmbd8ro1 and you`re good to go
Tnx for your answer. The problem is that in gingerxd there is no 4x3 keyboard. That is the rom i use on my own gio. Its a smooth rom with good looks and extras.
The zipfile, is that the original keyboard or what does it contain?
Just flash with cwm?
Yes it is the original keyboard , mount /system , flash , reboot
Edit : forgot to give credit to muzaffarhassan64 , the original link to the stock keyboard is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2064928
Thanx for your help but it doesn't work
I mounted system, flashed the zip (not placed in root but that isn't a problem i think) rebooted but there is no extra keyboard in "languages and keyboard"
Did i do something wrong?
I don`t think so ... it works for me . Then again .. i`m not an expert , maybe someone who knows better can help you. Sorry mate
Oke, no problem, thanks for your help.
In adrenaline there is the original samsung keyboard? Then i think i'll try that rom, cause i also have a problem with batterydrain i can't solve...
Yes those roms are based on stock with added features / speed , they are very nice depends on what you need , i think Adrenaline is the snappiest , Enhances 2.3.6 has some more features and i use DebianDroid because it`s about the same as those 2 but has integrated holo launcher so ics-like theme, integrated root explorer and working s2e. Also i can change the dpi to 120 without changing the phone.apk so i like it the best.
Oke, thanks for your feedback, I'm going to read about debiandroid and when it looks good i'll flash it today.
Is this the right topic?

Yes it is

Hello, what happens is that I installed the AOSP 10 rom that is in this forum but the camera has no option to change the storage path to the sd card, can this be modified?
Maybe editing the apk or something?
thanks! :fingers-crossed:
