CyanogenMod10.1.x Stable, CM10 archive (scroll below and click Spoiler for cm10) - https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_htc_endeavoru TeamNDVRu https://github.com/TeamNDVRu/
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.2.2 and 4.3(JellyBean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
This is place for official cm10.1.x stable , at http://get.cm/?device=endeavoru
.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Working with Senior CyanogenMod team members, we have set the official nightlies on track.
arcee (Ricardo Cerqueira) merged in the ics compatibility codes to cm10 repositories, and thus cm10 endeavoru is now working fully with audio and camera.
gorbi16 is maintainer of endeavoru device/kernel tree, tbalden is one of the maintainers of official htc-doubleshot cm9 device / kernel tree and as such member of TeamDS, and started to hack for HTC One X (endeavoru) as well. Most of you will/might know who mdeejay is, a long-time developer on xda and rootz, who now owns a HOX device too and decided to hack cm9/cm10/cm10.1 for this device as well. gorbi is a long time android hacker who joined the team while we were hacking CM10. Now he's spinning pure JB builds with new kernel so we can test it and merge his stuff soon.
Thanks and credits:
- the awesome ladies and gents who are creating, helping, rocking cyanogenmod and the cm team
- thoemy for many patches to keep the ball rolling
- all you folks who contributed to the opensource scene of android, this time especially endeavoru and endeavoru cm10!
- special thanks to Pabx for bringing 4.2.1 to HOX first with the awesome AOSP rom!
- gorbi for his patches in gerrit to shape up the repo even more
- seadersn for his patches
- all the kernel hackers who was stabilizing the released htcdev kernel sources, especially showp-1984, riemervdzee, TripNRaVeR, kholk and everyone else!
- the creators of tf300 and tf201 device trees all around the interwebz
- tgascoigne for the camera mode patch in cm repo
- tgascoigne team for the rild fix
- pabx @ xda for his extended research on echo issue and for providing a fix for it
- htc, google and all the worthy companies who make it possible
Kernel we use contains support for nfs/cifs/tun. Stuff is being done there by mdeejay, show-p1984, gorbi, thoemy and tbalden
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_htc_endeavoru/tree/cm-10.1
Device tree is a derivation of other tegra3 device trees like Transformer Prime, and GPS patches from the xda thread CM9 Development repositories. Tree orchestrated by mdeejay, gorbi, thoemy and tbalden:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_htc_endeavoru/tree/cm-10.1
Vendor blobs are from latest update by htc.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 10/10.1 to your HOX (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Unlock your device and install Clockwork Recovery
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. WIPE
4. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon
6. Download boot.img as well,
7. boot into boot loader (adb reboot bootloader). Use fastboot and ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’ through usb to have the correct kernel/boot image. Otherwise it won’t work/boot.
8. 'fastboot erase cache' is recommended if you have booting issues
HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
- Was your problem a hard reboot? Get us the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
- Was your problem a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get the full output.
- Pastebin links preferred.
- For now, please leave comments in the forums. We will be monitoring for activity as we continue to fix known issues.

CM 10.1 (Android 4.2.2) - supports only newer hboots (1.28 and above) with GPS (thanks to pabx again for his amazing fix for this!)
gapps for 4.2.2: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
More info: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Endeavoru_Info
Pending patches in review, that are not included in the nightlies yet, but can be found in the STAGING builds provided in this thread:
NONE - you should use nightly+vendor installer
NOTE: you need to tap about 6 times the SystemSettings/AboutPhone/BuildNumber part to get Developer Options and Performance menu!
STAGING BUILDS (cm-10.1):
Staging build 5 (march-16): removed. Network issues
Staging build 4 (march-15): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39177613&postcount=12314

How to enable FastCharge USB/ sweep2wake? --> SystemSettings / Advanced !
CM 10.1 issues:
- MHL HDMI broken (use cm-10.1 alpha7 with ICS blobs, if you still need it)
- On 8MPixel camera sometimes takes a gray image - on lower resolutions it works fine
- sdcard MUST be vfat (default on htc sense so don't worry if you didnt format it to ext4 manually) (no ext4 support yet) - (if you didn't change it intentionally to ext4 then it's VFAT by default by HTC)
Works:
Mostly everything else, including games (touchscreen), camera/camcorder

Changelog:
Alpha 7
- Synced to upstream (Feb-13)
- Added ROW io scheduler as default (gorbi cherry-picked and merged) - kernel (boot.img) change
- Fixed run parts for /system/etc/init.d scripts (sysinit) - ramdisk fix
- Added uhid.ko for userspace Human Interface Design using apps (gorbi cherry-picked and submitted) - kernel (boot.img) change
- Added backlight-HDR mode to camera scenes (gorbi's camerawrapper magic)
Alpha-6:
- synced to upstream (feb-11)
- USB tethering fixed (ramdisk fix, so boot.img included is needed, or repack your favorite kernel with this A6's boot.img's ramdik)
- Added Thömy's fix for proximity sensor getting false-alarmed in low light conditions (please test if you're phoning a lot in darker rooms , kernel fix, so boot.img included is needed for this to apply )
Alpha-5:
- Gorbi's USB-OTG merged, please test
- sdcard separated again, moving away from Fused internal storage concept. (Still needs MTP, but we try to resolve this so it could be used as usb mass storage later). You will need to migrate your sdcard/0 folder back if coming from A1 to A4 or any ROM that used /0 as emulated mountpoint, in recovery!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37814278&postcount=10175
- wifi fixed (wpa_supplicant.conf in place)
- still with Wifi direct (p2p)
- GPS conf updated to use international NTP pool (thanks Wiretap for pointing this out!)
- BT seems to be stable now, pls test
Alpha-4:
- Wifi-direct added (wifi p2p)
Alpha-3:
- Synced to upstream Feb-09
- Upgraded to HTC's JB kernel 3.1.10 (HBOOT 1.28 now is requirement to install A3)
- Wifi signal improvement with the new kernel
Alpha-2:
- Torch crash fixed (boot.img)
- Wifi tether fixed
- Bluetooth is not dodgy anymore.
If your wifi drops after a minute of phone sleep, check advanced settings in WiFi settings (press menu button to get there), and check this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37538877&postcount=9680 (tick off Wifi Optimization and Avoid poor connections)
Going back to 4.1.2 (CM10) or going to newer builds from A1-A4, sdcard:
If you go back to your old 4.1 backup from A1 to A4 (not A5+!) or going to newer betas/cm-10.1 nightlies : Do not forget to re-flash your 'old' or new boot.img.
Also note that you'll have to move your migrated data from /sdcard/0/ back to /sdcard/ (CWM doesn't know about /sdcard/0/ yet).
This can be done via (while booted in CWM):
Code:
adb shell
cd /sdcard/0/
mv * ../
mv .* ../
cd ..
rmdir 0

Issues: (we always keep this list up to date!)
- Occasional soft-reboots with GPS On + Facebook ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29651949&postcount=2184 )
- (in cm10) WiFi direct doesnt work, so disabled in rom - (in cm10.1 wifi direct works)
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
- Some paid apps loses settings/acconts due to this android jellybean problem: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34880 Solution is to backup with Titanium Backup and restore to internal memory, not to sd

If sometimes the build system produces broken packages to mirrors accidentally, then use the previous day's nightly. Computers can derp, so you can expect that too. Like 168mb installer is 9.7mb if you download it...check previous day then.

Thank you tbalden! will flash right now
With this ROM it will be easier waiting a new Nexus phone
Thanks
HOXed with Tapatalk
woooahhh !! finally !!! whats the difference between this and trips ??
- WiFi direct doesnt work (I dont even know how to use this. whats the function??)
- Wifi tether (i guess this is the only one i use but now at home so can be negleted)
- Charging light (but it charges) (not that it matters cuz my Gnex also dont have light when not using Lightflow)
- In call volume adjustment works, but not fully well in Speaker mode (more info here) (rarely use speaker mode.)
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (sold my MHL!)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!) (never used radio on phone)
- You tell (i'm downloading!)
so basically, this is a bug free rom for me? haha.
thanks for your hard work!
hope mdeejay fix MHL video output soon, I use it everyday
Thanks and congrats DEVS!
This is what I've been waiting for! Thanks tbalden and mdeejay!
I do not know if its JB related or this rom but i cant edit the APN settings. Nothing happens when i try to open them or longpressing them. So I cant receive mms at the moment . Otherwise the rom seems great! Thanks
Really great! Its just to bad Im not @ a computer for a couple of days. I suppose its not possible to flash with stock HTC 205, or...?

I will try it today! Thanks tdbalden and mdeejay

i really wish FM radio app will be included in cm roms...its basically because fm radio is free(nodata charges) compared with internet radios where you need internet connection and pay stuff..i tried htc sense fm apk on cm but it refuses to work and spirit fm(free) never worked for me unless im wifi connected somehow

No, it won't work with a 2.05 kernel. You need a pc (or s-off )

It's a decision from CM not to include it. If you have aspirations of your rom becoming official CM then you can't include it either.

yes, you cant edit automatically received apn settings, but
you can add new APN. seems like a bug, we will have to investigate this
Looking forward to see your amazing work on JB too

In work now so can't install to test it, but I have a question -
What are the hardware keys mapped as ?
Personally I prefer the 'new' layout of Back, Home, Recent Apps , with the 3 dot in app menu used.
If it's to set as this, could you maybe give me instructions on how I can manually change it ( I know I have to make changes in qwerty.kl but dont know what to change, and there's something else I have to do to activate in app 3 dot menu, right ?)
Thanks for your hard work !
When moving between CM10 alphas, is a wipe recommended between each install, or is that only necessary when going from Sense based roms?
Works great so far!

Lets put it this way, when moving from a messy bowl of porridge to a bowl of pudding, do you need to clean up in between? That's Sense-based for you.
This is more like going from steak to steak, plate is pretty damn clean by the end of the meal.

CyanogenMod9.1 weekly - TeamNDVRu https://github.com/TeamNDVRu/
CyanogenMod 9 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
This is stable release, marching towards 9.1 release.
Code:
#include
/*
*/
This is an alpha, with most critical functionality working.
Working with Senior CyanogenMod team members, we have this project unleashed. The time for cm9 HOX alpha releases is here!
A cooperation of mdeejay and tbalden and all the good folks who have contributed to the open source community around HOX.
Thanks jonas2295 for the banner!
tbalden is one of the maintainers of official htc-doubleshot cm9 device / kernel tree and as such member of TeamDS, and recently started to hack for his HTC One X (endeavoru) as well. Most of you will/might know who mdeejay is, a long-time developer on xda and rootz, who now owns a HOX device too and decided to hack cm9 for this device as well.
Thanks and credits:
- the awesome ladies and gents who are creating, helping, rocking cyanogenmod and the cm team
- all you folks who contributed to the opensource scene of android, this time especially endeavoru and endeavoru cm9!
- htc, google and all the worthy companies who make it possible
Kernel since alpha12 is based on htcdev original source with cherrypicked sweep2wake patch by showp-1984 and updated bt driver. Kernel proved stable so far and deep sleeps very well. defconfig we use contains support for nfs/cifs/tun.
https://github.com/TeamNDVRu/htc-kernel-endeavoru
Device tree is a derivation of other tegra3 device trees like Transformer Prime, and GPS patches from the xda thread CM9 Development repositories. Tree orchestrated by mdeejay and tbalden:
https://github.com/TeamNDVRu/htc-kernel-endeavoru
Vendor blobs are from latest update by htc.
https://github.com/TeamNDVRu/android_vendor_htc_endeavoru
Issues: (we always keep this list up to date!)
- WiFi direct doesnt work
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
- You tell
Works:
Mostly everything else, including camera/camcorder, airplane mode on-off, USB and Wifi Tethering, Burst shot in Camera
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 9 to your HOX (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Unlock your device and install Clockwork Recovery
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. WIPE
4. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon
6. Download boot.img as well,
7. boot into boot loader (adb reboot bootloader). Use fastboot and ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’ through usb to have the correct kernel/boot image. Otherwise it won’t work/boot.
8. 'fastboot erase cache' is recommended if you have booting issues
9. anti Wifi drain advice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28797990&postcount=1490
Be aware that if you're not using the kernel provided here, you might have issues with bluetooth reconnection, if the kernel doesnt have updated bt drivers of nvidia kernel 3.1.10.
Regarding MMS, some advice, if you have problems with it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27484163&postcount=308
We will be monitoring for activity as we continue to fix known issues.

sure.........
how can we solve this problem
video recording on AOSP the image is stretched
i'm recording a perfect circle
will try the ROM later
currently using your kernel on Trip's CM9 ROM and it's running great so far, plus sweep-to-wake's integration is really awesome
thanks!
Sweet finally an official (going to be) Cyanogenmod 9. Looking forward to some rock stable, bugless and optimised ROMs.
I hope this ROM will be developed longer than Alpha 3 build.........
Just tested rom.. and wow..
Ok, gps fix is great.
no incompatible apps (that should be compatible)
Echo is fixed
My only trouble was the leds did not work for missed calls or new messages.
I've read that it was a problem with using Franco's Kernel.. but then again I haven't had much luch with those leds.
Charging led works though.
Any Ideas?
Great rom and keep up the amazing work

PARANOID ANDROID LEO BETA V2.15
This rom is based on the great work of team Paranoidandroid
and the Evervolv Nightlies from Evervolv team so all credits and thanks to them in the first place !
About Paranoid Android:
This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device.
For more information about PARANOIDANDROID please check this website
Features :
Phone, Tablet and Phablet mode
P.A.L., First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell), etc.

- Removed Google ears and dependencies
- New option: "large" to trick an app thinking the device has a real big screen. some need it, like amazon kindle to jump into tabUI. some even react on it, gdrive will slightly adapt its layout - makes only sense if you give it a small dpi though.
- The algorithm to extract the actual layout containers from apk files works more precise and can reveal more than before. there will still be a few apps left who do that layout stuff in java - we will add an override button for that, but in the meantime you can edit /system/etc/paranoid/properties.conf .layout=360 for phone-like UI, 600 for phablet, 720 = tablet, 1280 = super huge tablet
- Breakthrough: We can finally target the actual layout containers inside the apk. If an app brings only phoneUI, you see it right away as you only have one UI option. If it brings ten, you will be able to pick each one of em. We're finally away from this Phone/Phab/Tab nonsense.
- Total Hybrid engine revamp, alot less clutter, many bugfixes, apps wont make jumps when you load them up because their actual size is calculated by the engine.
- Panel is still growing. It brings new options and new preferences that can even change android system settings.
- Finally hardware accelerated recents in TabUI, as fluid as ever. The ugly gradient is gone aswell
- Paranoid got its own dir in /system/etc/paranoid - pad.prop is not properties.conf
- A clean backup properties file is shipped, you can make a full reset in the panel in case you lost it with all the settings you made
- Force option can be activated in the panel, good for widget scaling
- The DPI sliders in the panel read min/max props from properties.conf, define them as you like
- TabUI Recents are back to a bigger size, this is temporary, i'll look for ways to port the phone implementation as project butter skipped the tabUI code
- CM fixed alot of features again, we included them all

Xylograph Jellybean Alpha Roms
General HD2 Jellybean stuff currently not or partially working on all of the above roms:
Native USB Tethering (will fc, try using 3rd party app)
Native Wifi Tethering (will fc, try using 3rd party app)
Native Video Recording (try using 3rd party app)
Bluetooth Music Streaming (fixed on Beta, for Alpha use fix below)
Youtube/Video playing cause a hot reboot (fixed on Beta, for Alpha use fix below)
Backlight (keys) have a delay when you lock the phone (to 'fix' this, set animation settings in dev option to 0,5 or off)
Don't enable/check 'show touches' in developer options.. it will crash your phone
Keep in mind that if one of the above roms feature the 'kill task' (hold back to kill app) option that it's still a genral work in progress.
General HD2 Jellybean progress:
Check securecrt HWA Kernel for HD2 thread for the latest kernel developments
Check evervolv on gerrit for the latest development for our 'legacy-devices'
Xylograph Alpha Roms kernel/system updates:
You can safely flash the latest securecrt hwa kernel on all 3 roms.
You can safely flash the latest AlphaROM Fixes found below for the Alpha roms..
All these fixes are already included in beta roms so no need to flash these when using a beta rom.
AlphaROM Fix 1.1 - (mirror) changelog:
Fixed the hot reboot issue for youtube and video playing/streaming !
The above fix decrease the overall system fluidity a bit, but should at least make things more stable.
Fixed the bad audio quality on calls.
Made an option in the aroma installer to revert the 'youtube/media' fix.. the audio fix will be installed either way.
1.1 changelog: Fixed the 'reverting to defaults' putting a file in the wrong folder, sorry for that..
AlphaROM Fix 2 - (mirror) changelog:
Included all previous fixes.
Fixed the hot reboot issue for youtube and video playing/streaming again !
No system speed decrease anymore, maybe it even increased !
No flooding 'overlay2' messages anymore in logcat while playing videos.
AlphaROM Fix 3 - (mirror) changelog:
Included all previous fixes.
Greatly improved the touchscreen sensitivity (multitouch) !
AlphaROM BT Fix - (mirror) changelog:
previous alpha fixes are NOT included.
fixed the a2dp bluetooth issue, please test and report !
option in the aroma installer to revert the bluetooth fix..
Additonal Patches for defined Beta ROMS:
Below you can find the (slightly modified) flashable hwui blacklist patches for the latest PA & AOKP beta roms.
The blacklist files will be written to system/etc/hwui.deny instead of the /data partition
The patch/app is a bit hard on permissions.. let it settle for a while if you can't enable or disable apps..
hwui.blacklist+bt.patch.pa.v1992 - mirror - updated with rev BT patch (credits: royale1223, securecrt, Xylograph)
hwui.blacklist.patch.aokp.n2408 - mirror (credits: royale1223, securecrt, Xylograph)
General HD2 Jellybean Tips & Tricks:
Consider disabling all animations in settings > developer options for a nice speed boost.
Consider setting the included Nova Launcher Animation/Scroll speed settings to fast or ftl for a nice speed boost.
Consider limiting your running processes to 2 or 3 via settings > developer options when things are slowing down for you.
When using Barnacle Wifi Tethering app enable 'skip wpa_supplicant' in the app settings.. After using Barnacle you will have to reconnect to your WIFI manually.
If you are not using some of the included system apps (for example dsp-manager) consider removing them from the rom since these can take up precious device memory. (at your own risk ofcourse)
Some camera apps seem to work better than others.. experiment with it.. I've read that camera illusion seems to be quite stable on these alpha roms.
If you have trouble with GPS not getting a lock download fasterfix of the market and set it to your region.
If you have problems with the market try removing your google account, wipe all the data/cache from the market app via application management, force stop it, reboot and log into the market again.
If you have problems with exchange check this post and push the .apk to the system/app directory. (credits manu33xtro)
Fm radio is working with the latest spirit fm free and using this workaround from icke..
(ROM specific) Bugreports:
remember the above ROMS are BETA/ALPHA for a reason.. expect bugs and stuff not working !
If you would like to report a bug please give proper information on what ROM you have the issue on and provide a logcat if possible.
More to come..
Note to all fellow porters:
Feel free to use the above stuff as base material, but remember to give proper credits !!

Nothing 'new' yet.. I've moved my alpha jellybean roms to this thread, because they share the same 'problems and bugs' so it's easier to discuss these things without bothering the ICS users
nice work!
will try it out! :highfive:
to bad one of my HD2's digitizer is dead, can this bring it back to life lol:laugh:
Hi all!
First many thanks XYLO for this initiative.
Since the ALPHA1 I'm facing an issue with connection to twitter app, I'm getting an error in connection but when I try in the browser, I can sign in without any problem. Someone faces the same issue? Any help?

Keep in mind that not only these roms, but also 3rd party apps could use some (more) JB optimalisations and sometimes just refuse to work...
Not much I can do about it.. give it some time to 'evervolv' :good:
this is the best ROM ever build in other devices.
hoping this will work 99.9% on HD2.
HD2 still amazing!!!
:victory::victory::victory:
:good::good::good:
I can confirm the communication gap between twitter app and twitter actions through urls.. Twitter app works fine on it's own..
Swyped from my HD2..
Hit thanks if I've been able to help!
So far... AOKP JB has been buttery smooth & It has eliminated any reboots on my HD2 that I had with AOKP ICS...
Just hoping for an update with more options included... Specially weather...
Is there a site or twitter peep to follow to find out what preview version is AOKP at so far ???

Ave, folks
Because the resonance for my own, personal, tweaked build version of CM10 was surprisingly good @official CM10 thread by tbalden and his TeamNDVRu crew, I decided to do a jointventure with rawdealer to provide this build in two version ("standard" and BlackVersion) to you, the XDA community, in a seperated thread. Rawdealer will provide his DarkVersion of this build in second post
This build is based on official CyanogenMod 10 sources, which are to be found here. I've included showp's Bricked kernel sources in my local repos (so sweep2wake is available), to which I did some edits (see changes below). So, as this is based on official CM10, all the bugs, which are present there, may be found here, too. I did no fixups, beside some small commits to CM10 device and kernel trees and except automatic brightness, which was a non-merged, abandoned CM gerrit commit. It works quite well.
Aim of this build was to make it a little bit more responsive and at the same time battery friendly, faster and do some customization on standard settings wich should be this way by default imo. As it looks, this went well
I will NOT answer standard questions, which are answered already ten times in any other thread and whose answers can be found by just reading the stickies etc You should know, what you are doing here and have the basics in mind However, a little install guideline (should be followed for best experiences) is added to third post.
Standard CM disclaimer:
Code:
#include
/*
*/
If anyone deserves thanks and credits, then
- tbalden, mdeejay and his crew for the device tree which made it to official CM10 device tree,
- showp for his work he has done on the 2.17 source bricked kernel v0.7 and
- CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik, of course
- If you think, I forgot to include you in this list, please hit me a pm

To keep this post clean, I've moved Download and Changelog to third post
Again and as always: I'm not responsible for any damage that may happen to your device when you flashed this. It's your own risk
CyanogenMOD 10 SE My Personal & DarkMod
Like seadersn said, in this post is the Dark version of his build with some more cleanups*, including some dark system apps and optional dark Google apps.
This build has included the latest ncx kernel. You need to flash boot.img from zip also, if you're coming from seadersn version, because it has a bricked kernel. No need to flash modules, they're already in the zip.
You can just wipe cache and dalvik cache w/o problems, but it's highly recomended to do a full wipe for the first time, flash ROM zip and gapps (regular or dark – dark ones have more apps inside zip), and then do everything like it's written below.
After three 5 minutes recording attempts was phone already a little bit hot But...here it is
Change video quality to 720p
AOSP 4.2.1 r1.2
Screenshots
↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
Dark apps included in system/app
-Contacts
-Calendar
-CM File Manager
-Gmail 4.2
-Messaging
-Phone
If you want to have some more dark apps in system/app you have to install them manually for the first time, because your regular gapps are excluded while updating ROM.
This apps are:
-QuickSearchBox - link
-Phonesky (Play Store) - link
-Talk - link
Dark apps in data/app
-YouTube - link
-Google+ - link
This apps you have to uninstall (just for the first time) before updating ROM, or manually change them after instalation.
Make a backup of apps with Titanium Backup, uninstall them, install dark versions and restore only data for this apps in Titanium Backup.
When you'll updating ROM with the new build, you won't need to do this anymore.
Yet another nice person who let me use his kernel in my version is n3ocort3x with his superb kernel.
*What have I done:
Deleted
-some sounds, changed touch sound to old one, videos, tts, and following apps:
-CMUpdater.apk
-CMWallpapers.apk
-Development.apk
-Email.apk
-Exchange2.apk
-LiveWallpapers.apk and everything related
-Stk.apk
-Term.apk
-VideoEditor.apk
-VoiceDialer.apk
-some I forgot....

-all the apps listed in the descriptions above
-and some more stuff I probably forgot

About battery life
↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
Battery life - first circle after clean install.
My version with normal gapps & ncx kernel, all syncs on, gps on, wi-fi on, auto brightness..........
I have to go to bed, otherwise would last screen on time for 4h
I'm really sorry for my funny English, but I'm not a native English speaker and also I didn't like school very much
DOWNLOADS and CHANGELOG
NOTE: Factory reset / Wipe Data is recommended when coming from official CM10 or another version: in every case when there was a Sense ROM installed before
boot.img reflashing only needed when installed for the first time or it is clearly stated here
Beside that, it's not allowed to put gapps inside a build as they are Google's stuff and closed source. You have to flash them manually, to be found HERE
Newer hboots: kernel available, but gps wont work.
Installation instructions:
Download ROM, of course
Install it the usual way:
- copy it to your SDCARD
- install zip in recovery
- do a Dalvik wipe in Recovery when you want to update this ROM
- reboot to bootloader
- flash boot.img which you should have extracted from ROM zip before
- do a fastboot erase cache, to be on the sure side
- reboot
Let it boot.
If installed from scratch with no data: Do nothing more than the initial setup the phone wants you to do and then REBOOT!
If installed as update with filled data partition: let it complete its boot and REBOOT after screen turned off (after turning it on again :ugly: )
Reboots are essential for this build for letting some of the additional settings take effect!
Yeah, and then: have fun with it

With 100% brightness, all time wi-fi on, all syncs etc etc
Thanks a lot!
I was really hopping that you'd do a thread with your own build. I love CM10 but the nightlies aren't stable enough for everyday normal use and your Oct 12 build was great! I'll start using your builds, at least until the first RC is out.
Ave, folks!
So, here it is: a little bit tweaked CM 10.1 build This build is based on official CyanogenMod 10.1 sources, which are to be found here. Kernel is the stock CM 10.1 one, to which I did only some small edits (see changes below). So, as this is based on official CM10.1, all the bugs, which are present there, may be found here, too. The commits, which aren't merged yet and are present in tbalden's staging builds, are present here, too.
Aim of this build was to make it a little bit more responsive and at the same time maybe a little bit more battery friendly, faster and do some customization on standard settings which are reflecting my needs / wishes... As it looks, this went well
I will NOT answer standard questions, which are answered already ten times in any other thread and for which the answers can be found by just reading the stickies etc You should know, what you are doing here and have the basics in mind. However, a little install guideline is added to second post.
Pre-Condition: Bootloader ≥ 1.28 ! You should've upgraded your HOX already as it only provides a better experience and sources are available now.

To keep this post clean, I've moved Download and Changelog to second post
Again and as always: I'm not responsible for any damage that may happen to your device when you flashed this. It's your own risk
some GITHUB stuff
NOTE: Factory reset / Wipe Data is recommended when coming from official CM10.1 or another version: in every case when there was a Sense ROM installed before, of course. You can try to leave data when coming from CM 10.1 staging or nightlies. But in case of problems you know what to do
boot.img reflashing only needed when installed for the first time or it is clearly stated here
Beside that, it's not allowed to put gapps inside a build as they are Google's stuff and closed source. You have to flash them manually, to be found HERE
Installation instructions:
Download ROM, of course
Download latest Google Apps package:

Install both the usual way:
- copy it to your SDCARD
- install ROM zip in recovery
- install gapps zip in recovery
- do a Dalvik wipe in Recovery when you want to update this ROM
- reboot to bootloader
- flash boot.img which you should have extracted from ROM zip before
- do a fastboot erase cache, to be on the sure side
- reboot
Yeah, and then: have fun with it
More advanced description for preparing and flashing your phone for CM 10.1 by rawdealer (give him some thx pls )
rawdealer said:
*How to install ROM and gapps:*
Reboot to bootloader, connect your phone to PC via USB and enter following:
-fastboot erase cache
-fastboot flash boot boot.img (you can drag and drop file or enter exact name and path to it)
-fastboot erase cache
Reboot into the recovery
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe system
-wipe dalvik
-wipe cache
-install ROM zip
-install gapps
Reboot system
If you didn't yet, you need to update your hboot, because it's a new kernel.
*How to upgrade hboot via fastboot:*
First, backup everything! ROM, apps etc etc and SD!!! Copy SD content to your computer, because it's very possible that your SD and recovery will be erased. I've upgraded from 0.94 ---> 1.39 and my SD, recovery were stay untouched. My friend did it from 1.12 ----> 1.39 and his SD and recovery were erased. Just in case
Check your cid number!!!
Enter following in CMD:
-fastboot oem readcid
Firmware with hboot 1.39 for region WWE x.xx.401.xx: http://htcfanboys.com/download/rawdealer/?action=view&file=16339
This firmware is for following cid numbers:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
If you don't find your cid above, check here for firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
Now when you have the right firmware for your cid, you can upgrade your hboot in fastboot.
Enter following in CMD
-fastboot oem lock
-fastboot oem rebootRUU
-fastboot flash zip firmware.zip *(if you get error on this line enter command again!!! Immediately!)*
-fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin (you need your unlock code to unlock bootloader again)
-fastboot flash recovery - you already know that
-fastboot flash boot - you already know that
flash rom and gapps (gapps-jb-20130301) in recovery - you already know that

Questions and answers / faq
FAQ:
Q: How do I activate Development Settings or Performance Menu?
A: Tap 7 times on Build Number in About Phone section in Settings
Q: Why is adb still not working?
A: k, first things you should know about 4.2.2 and ADB: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...s-from-stealing-your-data-in-some-situations/
This feature is deactivated in this ROM, but anyway, you should install latest bins.
Second: it doesn't work with USB Mass Storage (short = UMS) option Switch to MTP and it will work
You can use this zip with newest adb bin from rawdealer: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/24435867/Android Stuff/Tools/ADB-new.zip
Q: Where do i find latest Google-Apps package?
A: On http://goo.im/gapps. Take the newest one and flash it after you flashed the ROM.
Q: ...and wtf is up with file transfer on mac...?! It doesn't work
A: Try to switch to USB Mass Storage mode (from MTP mode, which is standard in this ROM), because MAC doesnct support MTP natively. You can try this app for mac too: http://www.android.com/filetransfer
MTP mode should work then on MAC
reminder for next build's changes:

This ROM is built from AOSP sources with my modifications and with some useful features. I don't really care about any ROM customization features, because I care about stability and performance. So this ROM will never be "fully customizable".
What's the difference between this ROM and other custom LP ROMs for Nexus?
A: You really cannot see the difference by seeing screenshots of this ROM. You can feel the difference by using it.

I can't edit the frameworks_native opengl files to fix the graphical issues, that must be done by someone talented...
Reboot issues: I don't know, my Nexus only rebooted once. I still haven't flashed Gapps.

This ROM is using AOSP JB 4.3.1 tuna and maguro device repositories, which are edited for KitKat 4.4 by me by adding the changes from Grouper KK 4.4 device repository. Here is my
device repositories for Tuna:
github.com/manumanfred/device_samsung_tuna
github.com/manumanfred/device_samsung_maguro
Changelog:
device_maguro
Code:
KitKat
Enable BLE
frameworks/base overlay: add MMS UA and UAProfUrl strings for maguro
JB 4.3.1
device_tuna
Code:
fix typo of audio.r_submix.default
Enable host interleaving BR/EDR device discovery
audio: fix remote submix sampling rates
change to new libsensors headers - Thanks to kufikugel
KitKat
Include BLE permission file
Enable BLE
JB 4.3.1
To Do:
Fix possible GPS issue (Maybe)
Take this away: Settings.Global.LOW_BATTERY_SOUND_TIMEOUT It's for tablets, we can use it but this is useless
Fixes
Add Battery Charging LED
If the vendor files for grouper KK have been uploaded, then use some of the files from it for BT and WiFi
Revert some things (maybe, currently needs testing...)
Next version will be Dreams 4.4 Milestone 2
For Toro users: Don't ask any ETAs or anything like that.. I build this KK based Dreams for Toro when this is stable for Maguro.
package gives error because of the new signature in kitkat, it is fixed in latest cwm and I think in twrp as well, so you can build a flashable zip just recommending to be on latest cwm in order to flash it
So it's still Jellybean?

Gapps: Use PA's 4.4 Full Gapps
I'll build a new version tomorrow when I go back to Estonia. Now it's time for me to rest a bit.

I have the .zip package on my Ubuntu partiton, but I'm not using Ubuntu right now so I can't give it now. Next version will be flashable through CWM.
as always, you are awesome, thanks for your roms, they are golden
Absolutely the best kitkat rom 'till date, no doubt..the rom is blazing fast, smooth like ever, opening app, swiping to google now is liquid, fast precise... the only thing you have to do is to install mopkang kernel 1080 version, which makes a big difference in the overall performance, stock kernel seems to be young for this os.. everything seems to work fine, super su 1.65 works perfectly..what else can I say, excellent job and thanks carlos, I'm coming from the latest cm snapshot and i can feel the very gap in terms of speed and smoothness, kitkat really is a badass os:good:
