I just bought an AT&T Galaxy s 3 and I need to get it set up on my T-mobile network. First it wont recognize my sim because the sim is carrier locked. Next Im assuming I need the T-mobile compatible radios.
Can anybody point me in the right direction to get this baby running on my network?
Thanks in advance!
You need it unlocked.

Is this something i can do myself?
I really gotta ask. Why would you buy an ATT model for use with T-Mobile?
Well, to point you in the right direction...

This is not for our devices its for global, carrier unlocked versions. The First gen galaxy S2 with the hardware home button. And wont help us much if any at all.

It is somewhat good news nonetheless. Means we will get a bite of ICS soonish...

spelling and device are wrong. Tell us alot less about the status of t989 builds than the skyrocket leaks.

hopefully ours get updated before the GSIII announcement, or else Tmobile might delay the update so more people will buy GSIII (although I doubt they need much convincing). they're already doing this with the HTC phones

We are in the same boat as VZW users right? We have to wait for the 90 dollar dock to come back to Samsung.com ???
Please post any other links here if they pop up!!
IMO Sprint its been anemic when it comes to accessories for the Galaxy Nexus. Nothing announced that I know off. Not even an extended battery.

You guys are talking about this dock right?

404, but thanks for trying haha.
Would love the correct link though!
I fixed the link.
Does the one you reviewed work with the CDMA versions? If so could you link where you bought it from?

No it doesn't. Its a perfect fit for the GSM version. I tried to get the Verizon version to fit, but its too big.

Well, if you at least pay such a ridiculous amount of money on a Lumia 900, you should at least buy one which is not AT&T branded - no?

I am guessing that unbranded one is twice as much, but two million is all I have :crying:

Well... I love my Lumia, really I do. Best phone ever. I might think of letting a slightly used one go for a million, but there'd have to be some more negotiation. Like, you'd have to promise to Skype me from time to time so I can see it and know that it's found a good home. Well, PM me and we can chat - but no promisses, I'm not sure I could let mine go that cheap yet...
:highfive:
Hmmmm, want it delivered by June 27th? No! I want it gold plated and delivered by a Blonde Katy Perry wearing nothing but a smile whilst saying "Candygram for Mungo!" and with £10 free call time

All speculation and although I cant provide an asnwer, im guessing that problem probably wont be solved until Devs can actually autopsy a working TMO LTE...
Unlike other carriers with working LTE, TMO devs cant fully compare and contrast our phones setup to anything, whether it be another TMO Note 2 with working LTE or even another varient of the GNII with work LTE (as we all know ATT modems with LTE arent exactly conveniently flashable to TMO (yet), or even any other TMO LTE phone.. NOTHING, ZILCH, NATA to Bwork with"
In conclusion, once TMO flips on the LTE switch and devs have a complete setup to work with (thankfully our GNII is the first in line) then note only is that problem solved, but then think how many other (capable phones will be flashing ported GNII LTE modems just to get their LTE capable phones on our 42+...
The flood gates will be opened and these problems will be washed away

First, questions go in the Q&A section. Do you mean rooted? Yes. Carrier unlocked? Somewhat. You can flash to other CDMA carriers, mostly the prepaid services like Page Plus, Boost, Virgin Mobile, etc.

Yes Carrier unlocked. I am sure if I root I will be able to but I was hopping not to root on this. Thanks again!
