[Q] Please Help me! Bricked

Hello, I am from Brazil, and i bought my first smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360. I rooted it today, but I tried to install a theme, and when i rebooted... My Galaxy does not power on. I think thats a soft brick, becouse I can enter in download mode. I would be so glad if someone help me.

Try data wipe.... goto recovery..

Just flash the one for Brazil. There are three to choose from. I think the latest one is S5360B_UTKL2_ZTOKL2_UTKL2.

Do as said above "update" or go to recovery, data wipe, cache wipe, and then install rom.

Thanks, worked fine, but was harder to root again with this rom xD

Every XDA member started as "new user" and that being true, we should know that "thanks button" isn't available by default for new users because it it is I would have pressed that missing in action button several times.

For those who want to restore their Galaxy Pocket to the stock ROM..

Until now, there is no custom rom better than stock rom. So when we want to try a new rom, it is advisable to backup your rom.

I followed this method to get stock ROM back: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31326295&postcount=8
But when I hit Start, then an error shows at writing Nand.
It is possible that my version is not compatible, I'm currently using the GT S-5300L for latin america.
Kies didn't work for me, it only shows a message telling me that the device can´t be initialized.

hi all,
i have readed some threads about this question but i can't find the answer i search for.
What happen if i flash a ROM from galaxy ace (or another device) on my galaxy gio?
Would it be SOFT-bricket ? or HARD-Bricked ?
yesterday i did just not flash a rom for galaxy ace ( i didnt know it was for galaxy ace and not for gio) but i looked a last time and then i saw that i was redericted to a threat in galaxy ace forum's and i didnt flash the ROM... (it was Adrenaline rom from ace but not ported to GIO )

Probably rom from Ace would work on Gio, but then perhaps you wouldn't be able to use your phone anymore

maybe it will brick your phone,but always cant boot(soft brick)

you 2 guy's have diffrent option's
you say that it is soft bricked and the other one say's that it would be hard- bricked

I mean key mapping. It's different in Gio en Ace, so you can't do anything. Maybe you would flash new soft with Odin, but I don't want to check it

Well bro dual boot just means to have 2 roms on ur phone..simultaneously...and u wil have 2 chose which rom to boot with wen u switch ur phone on...
Some phones can even have tri or quad boot...
Its juat like running windows and having Linux on ur computer and u have a choice which OS u need to boot wid when switch on ur computer..
