Has anyone developed an app that records everything that's happening on my screen? I have seen videos on youtubes of people showing off their phones and it looks like someone is recording just what's happening on the screen, not the phone it self. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

I'm interested as well.

It's done with ShootMe (root required).
Not to bash the app but shootme just takes screenshots at max 10 per second to make it a video. It doesn't work for what I'm trying to show.
Is there any app that can capture the device at at least 20-30FPS?

This isn't exactly what you are after. but it might help you
You can install a VNC server on your phone from
the market and install some type of VNC viewer on your PC ,by doing that,
you can stream your phones screen to your PC and record it as a video
on your pc.

This actually sounds great to me. I just don't know what VNC is. Do you know of a guide I can follow or can you make one? Sorry if its too much to ask?

It is actually very straight forward to setup.
All you need to do is :
Download and install droid VNC server on your phone from the market (free or paid)
and download a vnc client on your pc , if you are using Linux you can install
"gtk vnc viewer" or any other one ,they are many available. or if you are using
windows, download TightVNC from download.com (cnet) and install it on your pc
on your phone, open up the app and and press start server it will give you some sort of ip address ,
from your pc open the viewer (TightVNC is both viewer and server) type the address and hit connect.
and thats all there is to it . Obviously both your pc and your phone should be connected to a wireless network.

An app to record what's happening on my screen
For me that VNC app was terribly slow. Wouldnt be useful for recording your screen.
It also depend on the client you are using on your pc
And your network speed too.
But yeah the video is not going to be as smooth as recording your desktop. Its basically like using remote desktop.
You can also do it the otherway around so you can control your pc from your phone.

Any update at all on this? Any new apps around that do it properly?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ashot/
Works perfectly for me, note you must have the android SDK installed, and point the program to it on first run.
Use ShootMe and at the top were it shows 'A heartbeat monitor thing' click that and click screencast. This will allow you to make videos of whats going on on your screen.. +Rep if I helped.

I had no idea ShootMe had a screencast option and I've been using it for over a year. Thanks so much. I've been using the android sdk and a program called [email protected], but ShootMe is a bit easier.

I was kind of upset that the US SGS3 was unable to grab the apk from the store, probably a bug of some kind, but I found a work around, make sure you are allowed to install it!

VideoLAN Client for android
Basically its a really good media player (audio/video) supports all the formats and everything.
Hi guys....actually wanted to share an app with those who are new to android and want hd videos from youtube straight into their phone...well its very simple and easy...as play store has removed this app (as far as i know)...you can simply get it from here:
http://www.4shared.com/android/ypZUqSLU/TubeMate.html
This app has options of downloading youtube videos at different sizes and qualities...also it can save videos as mp3....!!
Note: There is also a similar app to Tubemate...called Tubegod...so if u dont find Tubemate...Tubegod is also a good option...

Here's the official and latest version :
http://m.getjar.com/tubemate-real
it's a GetJar link, so hopefully more trustworthy compared to a 4shared link
* Checked with Avast! AntiVirus, the best antivirus for Android, and not found to be dangerous
* Tested by me, and I can verify that the latest version has no problem downloading various YouTube videos at the highest resolution

Any other apps that do this besides these two?
The mp3 output from this app is not recognised by my DLNA Samsung TV as a valid file (tried through Allshare, iMediaShare and Skifta), it has to be re-encoded again to mp3 by MediaConverter to work.
[This Post should be residing in Themes and Apps subforum. Please move this thread, if you will, Mod ]
Thanks

Well...when you download video as mp3....the app says that it will only save that video as mp3 file...not a whole mp3 format...

Usually, I download the highest-quality .mp4 file, then use the freeware "Yamb" to extract the audio file into an .m4a file. Very fast, since no re-encoding is performed.
If there are no high-quality .mp4 file, I'll download the highest-quality .flv and use "FLVextract" to extract the audio portion, which will usually be an .mp3 file. Sometimes, I get an .aac file, which I must "rewrap" into .m4a using Yamb.

I appreciate what you are saying, but it seems kinda pointless to save anything other than the audio as a proper mp3 file when this option is chosen, otherwise I might as well just grab the whole video

Hi All,
I have the following problem:
I use a Huawei P6 with Android 4.2.2 EmotionUI 1.6 and try to modify some values in a game using Game Killer 2.60, Game CIH 3.0.0 and also Root browser.
Till now I have no success.
The app (game) that I want to modify is World at Arms.
Anybody has any idea???
I know about some friends that have made this.
Did anybody has any idea?
Could be the Android version of the app used???
Thank you.
The game you are trying to modify probably has a defense system against modding or changing values. Try to find a already nodded version of the game

Thanks for info.
And do you know a good software to browse the android files from a PC. I take a loot ad Droid Explorer x64 but is not working properly.
Thanks.
Hehehe, this is really one great app i found, i dont know of any of you ever used ios, but one of the best apps for apple is movie box. It does need a jailbreak, which is why the android version, which does not need root is so cool. The android version is called showbox.
It is like a free netflix, or hulu, only you dont need an account and monthly payments, hundreds, if not thousands, of tv show episodes and movies, very user friendly ui, clean and simple, there are both streaming and downloading options, in different quality and language either english or russian.
If youre interested, just download the apk from this link:
https://copy.com/PCLAQpAHQLOzKJ0G
Enjoy!
EDIT:
they recently added subtitles support, just install the apk and update when asked.
Lol.. Already got
