LU620163 is out.. better than crappy bugged custom that even the developer dont know how to fix it.. like a simple Contact on sim card issue.

Wow, great attitude. If it's such a "simple" issue, how come you didn't fix it yourself?

Your post sounded like you were griping at the developers who ported the ROM(s) just because it didn't turn out perfectly.

Gosh... No one told you to install a custom rom and no one has a right to criticize a custom rom developer like that.
There's not much development going on for this phone because there's a "crappy" user like you. lol
Better keep in mind that lu6200 was never meant to be used in other countries than Korea.
crappy user? like you? i see, thats why. anyway ive fixed my rom, converted it to english, all native apps working (Including SMS without limit, and NFC that is not available on the stupid international crap version) ohh by the way its just my opinion.. so chill out, go home eat garbage XD XD XD

i think the brainless are the one who can't read... i don't believe that only samsung rom will make all function to work as I have said.. i have fixed the problem on the korean rom
Stock SMS can text up to 160 char, no more call to korea or to local, and no FC on settings even i can copy or save contacts to sim
Jesus Christ, what is wrong with you? Can't you see why everyone's against you? Where's the forum admin? We need to do something with this guy. He's the worst user I've ever seen in the forums of XDA.
If you solved your problem by yourself, good for you. But again, other custom roms that you were referring to as 'crappy' were the results of honest and good developers to help your pathetic problems. Stop whining and get a better phone. No one cares how you fixed your problems.
haha look whos whinning.. duh!! i don't care about you either.. i don't get it why are you so affected? hahaha then call the admin to banned me. it's fine.

I hate to admit it, but everyone has moved on to the HD2. They have pretty much everything working on the HD2 but there is no developers working on the Rhodium and we have no sound yet.
I really thank all the devs and everyone else involved into making Android run on our Rhodiums, but we gotta face the truth someday. It was fun and I cook WinMo ROMs for the Rhodium, but we gotta realize its dated. The only reason I still have my Rhodium is because it has a keyboard. I'm waiting for a humming bird core HTC phone with QWERTY to make the upgrade. I know some people are gonna flame. Its OK I understand you want to hold on to that Rhodium you have. We ALL do.
PS: Its sad seeing craiglisters selling Android for the HD2. I wish I could kill them all. They don't deserve any money since they did not do any of the work involved nor did they contribute ONE thing. This is why I hate scenes like the smartphone scene... People take credit for what isn't theirs.

I'm getting sick of threads on this, I'm sure devs do not appreciate them either..
Why you gotta be so negative? They are doing their best they can so why don't you lock yourself in the closet and come out of there once android has been fully ported to our device

I an getting a little woried that we have reached the point of no return. It would be helpfull if the devs did post updates to let use know where we stand. I am not giving up hope just yet. I can't upgrade for quite some time and don't want to pay out the nose for something that could give me just what I am looking for.
Just want so feedback from devs to know what's up?

Its funny, I bet there were people like you guys years ago for the Kaiser and Vogue... they work 100% now BTW. It doesnt mean people still use their Kaiser with Android for their daily phone (some do of course) but thats not what XDA is about. This used to be a strickly development forum, now its full of "gimme-gimme" users who think the OP of the thread is Customer Service.

Keep up the good work. Ignore the leeches. All they do is take. They dont realize that their purpose should be to test and return feedback on the testing. Instead they seem to think that this forum is like you said, full of customer service reps. Its pathetic.
Anyhow, there are tons of people who appreciate all of the developers work and look forward to more updates.
Yea Reefer, let em have it. I wish I could help more to unlock the potential of this phone. It really is a pretty slick device that just wasn't given enough polish or muscle. I researched the purchase of it for months beforehand and don't want to just give it up now.

Wrong. they make a rom and put it on here for everyone. and lets say 50 people download it. and 25 of them have a problem with it. you realy thing that a dev has time to try and fix 25 peoples problems while at the same time make updates to the roms cause your demanding them? thats not how it works. if you install a rom and something goes wrong then you ask the 24 other people if any of them have had the same problem or found a fix. your a tester. if your getting the devs work for free. the least thing you could do is test it and let everyone know how it works.
Dated but not dead.
You may think its dead but for people who still own the TP2, like myself, would like to see this till the end. I still have another year with this phone before I can upgrade and I cant fork out 500+ dollars to buy a new one like the HD2 or Incredible. I'm sure there are others out there in the same situation. So just because you were able to move on with an upgrade doesn't mean its dead.
sound will be working in a matter of time acl is making head way on it over at ppcgeeks.

Are you looking for a thrill chill?
WM6.5 would make more sense with SD Card support and retro apps that have much more usefulness.
How would one get past the DRM that’s gives Willy Peeon access to all the content on ones device?
I would rather see a dual boot Android/WM 6.5....
Maybe start with the Fathom V7 ROM and just fix the data drop issue.
Then stick it in the face of that little dictator**** wanabe website LGforum that will ban you for telling it like it is.
If I could just get past decompiling the .wdb file...
The rest is just engineered obsolescence of the Fathom.
Your ROM help those who would consider trying that type of OS.
More power to you..

Hey,
I apologize.
I didn't mean to dis anyone or their hard work.
If you found a way to make it work then that's a whole nother story.
That sounds like something I might just try out in my spare time.
I just thought that with the internal memory limitations of the DInc II and the restriction of WP7 to not allow the use of an SD Card, there wouldn’t be much room to load programs. Kind of like the AndrOmnia project...
I do appreciate the work of just about all of the devs that I have read about.
I didn’t know that it was actually a work in progress.
And that wanabe website I was referring to is the LGforum that could be if it were controlled by someone other than North Korea.
Keep up the great work…
Yehp.. It's still beta... what dows LG forums have to do with this? The rom should be out of beta next week sometime.. IM releasing the blurless version tomorrow"pretty much blurless" I just have a couple more things I need to take care of on x2 side before I can start on this.

well unless someone is willing to do it, i dont know what this poll even accomplishes. I'm under the impression that porting a different OS takes a lot more skill than making a native rom, otherwise the HD2 wouldn't be the only phone with 9000 different operating systems.

English please.
This ROM will NOT work on the P930/SU640. We've already had one member try it on his Canadian P930, and it's already bricked. He cannot restore back to the stock firmware either using any of the LG tools.
Even if he could write english, it would'nt be related to this thread. He was just greeting the poster above him and calling him a vagina...
I really dont understand why people cant wait, tough they know they're guys working on a ROM. I mean you can flash it, but please dont come here crying and spamming for help after you bricked your phone...
This doesn't work on the nitro HD soooo why are there so many posts about it here?
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
Because the Chinese are flooding the forum, thinking that their device has a shred of association with the P930.
It is possible to put kernal's mod on a lu6200 from what I've been reading...so they are somewhat similar I think.

as far as i know, they basically have the same hardware other than the cellular modem part, with p930 using the MDM9200 and lu6200 mdm9600. there're also some slight differences in flash layout. but that shouldn't be a major hindrance to porting 930's rom or the other way around.

Understand that, and as long as something good comes out from all these threads and posts that relates none to P930 whatsoever, and in the end we can get ICS on the Nitro due to them being here, then it's all good. Otherwise, I think it will be time for us to request the admins to either create a separate sub-forum for them and move those threads there, or time to wipe the forum clean from unrelated threads. I'm about had it seeing threads saying ICS for NITRO/OPTIMUS LTE everyday, making me think that we actually are getting something while it's not even related to our phone!
What it does mean to me, though, is that LG is currently still in the manufacturer customization stage for the Optimus LTE 6200 and probably for its brethren as well. What that means to me is that we might still have a couple months until carriers get their hands on the firmware to customize it for themselves. I'm afraid we won't get official OTA til late Q2 if it, indeed, comes Q2. My bet is still on arcee getting CM up and running pretty soon for us.
Edit, I am no expert on this subject though, so by all means take my musings at face value.

That is what I was trying to say earlier....but Arcee hasn't made any "public" post since mwc about anything related to the phones. At least not on the Cyanogen Mod Forums, nor Google + nor Twitter. I'm pretty sure he knows about the korean thing...and probably has a copy. From what I am guessing is that he needs to get 4 (not sure really, but I would think Video Acceleration, Wifi and Bluetooth, and gps) more things to work now that he has the radio. If he can take some of what the korean ics has....like video acceleration...it would speed up the job it would seem. However it may be incompatible and might make the whole process take longer.
All,
I've recently discovered these 2 'Slim' ROMs, and was very excited to have done so...
My excitement soon turned to sorrow, however, upon learning that these slimmed down ROMs haven't been ported to Gio.
Now, KUDOS to the developer(s) that created them but wouldn't it have been a good idea to make it so that they can run on lower, less-powerful phones like the Gio? Currently, they only run on much more powerful phones, that have tons of RAM and power. These phones can handle full blown ROMs just fine, the Gio....not so much.
Just a thought.
Man! I wish I could get one of these for my Gio! I'm contemplating trying to install it on my Gio. It's not my everyday phone anyway. I only use it for data usage because I have an INSANE data plan on that phone. I have another phone that I use for calls, etc.
if its currently only for high end devices there's no way coming to gio.

hey guys, i just modified the liquid smooth rom cause i was bored.
all credits go to the liquid team...i really didnt do anything hard, and i dont consider myself to be a real developer now.
just wondering if anyone wants to test it out to see if it works, and give some feedback.

Changes made:
-removal/replacement of a few apps
-build.prop changes
-changes to updater-script
-changed boot animation
Like I said, I didn't make this to make a more optimized version of liquid smooth. It's more of an experiment/attempt to learn a bit.
Thanks.

im not really trying to promote it to everyone. i just did this as an experiment, and i just want to know if its booting ok, not force closing apps, etc. so that i know whether or not to change something.
How about you test it out yourself before asking others to risk trying it. Just a simple piece of advice.

Feedback:
Who'd want to "Test" a rom from a non-developer, when there are many that are from DEVELOPERS, not to mention the Liquid Smooth was developed by a full team. This to me infers that you are better than a team? Oh well, if you want to try peeps, go for it, but remember, it was done by someone who says he was not a developer.

i clearly said in my original post, that i take no credit for this, and that all credit goes to the liquid smooth team.
By test i didnt mean to go through the whole rom and check if every single thing works. Im just asking that you flash it
and let me know if it boots fine and doenst have any major issues.
like i said, im not trying to promote this as the best rom for the s3 that everyone should start using.
no need to get all pissed...it was just a simple question. If you dont want to try it, why even post?
i understand your concern guys, but blind development happens all around XDA. if this guy today had a "Recognized Developer" tag, i bet many of you would try it out. don't underestimate the OP.
that said, make sure you do understand that there is a risk since this is a blind development, although i doubt anything would go wrong since this is just something the OP took from an already working ROM for the TMO Galaxy S III and tweaked it a bit...

that said, make sure you do understand that there is a risk since this is a blind development, although i doubt anything would go wrong since this is just something the OP took from an already working ROM for the TMO Galaxy S III and tweaked it a bit...

+1. We can do without the drama guys. The OP is doing absolutely nothing out of the ordinary by developing blind. Yes, it is always a risk for testers, which is why he posted this here looking for the willing. If you don't want to try it, please move along and stop flaming each other. :good:

Thanks. Like you said I doubt flashing this would cause any harm. All I really did was change a couple apps and replace some pics in systemui and frameworkres.
Just make a nandroid, flash the rom, let me know if it installs/boots properly, and then just restore your nandroid.
My apologies go out to the op. He did make an effort to further improve an already outstanding rom and asking for testers is KEY. It's a great start for experimenting while increasing your knowledge on the more advanced aspects of android. Will give this a try once my S3 is fully charged!

I bet if he was a recognize developer you all wouldn't be a§§es. Just say no thank you and move on. Too many drama lovers on this site I swear.

Considering that its possible to modify firmware images and inject custom malicious code, I don't see anything wrong with questioning someone's motives for putting up a ROM that they admit they don't even remember what changes were done to it. I can understand if you think you've improved upon something but without a change log or anything there isn't really any reason to test it. Being cautious is not the same as being an ass.

I agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with questioning something suspicious. But there are ways to do it without coming off like a jerk.
@OP I do advise adding more to the OP about the changes made if you want testers.

One thing that I hate about the internet - you can't really control how your message is taken by others. I wasn't trying to be a jerk at all.

Oh no, I wasn't aiming that towards you at all. It was just a general statement. Now let's stop spamming this thread with off topic posts
Everybody has a point to start. May be this is his point.
I swear if I was fan of 4.2 roms I would do it for you. But I already had too much headache with 4.2 roms.
Dont forget to ask original dev before you modify his work like this.
Gud luck ahead.
the rom has 6 downloads, however no one has given any feedback?
if anyone flashed it could you let me know if it works ok.
