Well after finally getting the new update on my epic's I would like to have some more ics blue presence on my header bar at top of screen, like clock , signal bars, Wi-Fi indicator as well as notification toggles. The gingerbread greys and greens are so bland , the blues are much easyer on the eye and contrast better against the black. Anyone know of any themes, or maybe a dev has something cooking?
TIA.

If you want a stock ics look, agat is the way to go. Blu kuban is heavily themed but does not look anything like ics.

Would like to stay with a stable factory Rom / update and do a theme instead of installing a new Rom or kernel , would like to have a factory stable system. I have sampled several ics roms and got tired of all the odd quirks that came with them, blue kuban included .
Thanks for the input guys.

I agree, and was hoping for the blues myself (if not whites, or some other custom color)... But doesn't this require a custom ROM?

Agats rom is basically debloated stock themed to look like ics, it works with the stock kernel just fine.

Ditto here.... It rocks and I'm loving it!
Ran Calkulin for awhile, now running Blazer, and will likely give UnNamed a go at some point in the near future. The two I've ran so far are excellent and fully capable of being a daily driver.
I'll probably settle in with something eventually. I like to try ROMs but I also like to spend some time with one, get to know it, whisper sweet nothings in its ear and touch it in different places to see how it responds.
This week it's UnNamed. Last week it was Venum, and the week before it was Starburst. I love them all and they've all been bulletproof. It's hard to pick a favorite when they all work so well and have such great support from the devs.

This ROM is an outstanding stock style ROM that is blazing fast.
Can one of the talented themers get a black style (onyx) theme going for this ROM?
Or, if you are currently running BB and using a theme, what theme are you using?
Many thanks!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I've been looking for this too.
It's the most stable ROM that I've found for the nexus and nobody is theming for it
Will be keeping an eye out.
Until there is a stable version there likely won't be any themes for it.

There are themes for AOKP, which is updated much more frequently than BB
I'd also like a theme to get rid of the stock grey fade in menus and such.

Does anyone else still really really love their gingerbread setup? Don't get me wrong i looooove ICS, but i was running Blazer 4.1, Rogue Gunslinger Kernel, and the Mr. Softee theme, and it was in my opinion the best setup my phone has ever had, and i think it was just as snappy and smooth as ICS.
If someone could port the lockscreen mod that is in Mr, Smoothies to TW ICS i think that would put me on ICS for good.
Just wondering if anyone else felt the same way

I agree, the regular supply of leaks and updating of roms was fun. So many different options and styles to choose from. Our forum will be full of solid roms very soon with source now available.

I've been on Calkulins EGT.ROM from the get go and I loved that he was always on top of his ROM. Now that he has bailed this ROM has gotten old and outdated. I want some suggestions on what Rom I should jump to next. Right now I'm on Calkulin's E4GT v3.0 EL29 using modem FB21. Last few weeks I've been trying out different modems but none seem to work out for me. I'm in Central California if that makes a difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also if this still is the best ROM available can you tell me what modem is working the best for you? I've tried so many I forgot which one was giving me the best battery life and connection.
Stay on whatever modem works best for you man, it varies area to area phone to phone.... insofar as roms I'm loving sbrissens aosp jelly bean, which is extremely stable for an alpha and a great daily driver... should you want something that's 100% more or less though I'd look into either blue Kuban or goodness, both of which are ics touchwiz based like caulks ROM...

GPS is what it is and its just a matter of trying different modems till you figure out what works best for you... insofar as battery how old is your phone? Might be time for a new one, does it spin freely when you set it on a flat surface? And that being the case I would for sure just go with blue kuban or goodness those are probably the most stable easiest ICS ROMs we have...

Have you looked at CynogenMod10 (CM10)? I highly recommend it. It is in Alpha 5.1 right now and I haven't had ANY issues with coverage. It's super smooth, and it's jellybean.

There is a stock rooted FH13 floating around that is nice, very normal/basic ICS. I just don't use TW.
+1 for CM10 (I also jumped from Calk's ROMs). It's very smooth and very stable as of v5.1. Minor glitches here and there with audio volume, but other than that all major issues have been resolved.
I think my phone hates the CM10JB alpha for some reason ...GPS never works and battery life is horrible, I use some tweaked stock Rom.

Battery life is subjective based on use habits and what apps you have installed. However, blu kuban has served me very well, especially since the "battery life issue" (according to Samsung/Sprint) update of fh13.

Team Venum's cRaCk_StOcK is based on FH23, no probs with GPS, modem good, battery great, and it still offers that nice TW look if you want. It's a great blend of a few tweaks on a solid stock look.
As you see everyone here has different opinions of what ROM you should flash because we all have different likes or needs when it comes to what we put on our phones. I've flashed almost every ROM that's available for our phone, but I always come back to CM9.

I just picked up one of these phones to replace an original epic 4g (thing was great but after being dropped 5007 times it finally quit). I was using CM9 for a while on it but the GPS seemed flakey from time to time. As far as on this model, does GPS work well with CM9? The main things I need the phone to do without fail is make phone calls and GPS.
With that said, would CM9 be the suggested route or another basic rom?

I've been on ICS & JB roms for quite some time now, but the lack of 4G speeds are really killing me. I see when I revert back to GB, it's like night and day speed wise. I do miss the eye candy most of all, but I prefer the speed over it right now.
I've checked the E4GT Wiki w/the Roms, and even searched Google to no avail, the only links (even from Phantom's own site) are dead for the GB version of Blazer 4.1. I downloaded someone's mod off of Blazer, but I've been running into some problems regarding app installs-- even from a fresh install off of EL26, wiping everything before flashing-- and I wonder if using the original Blazer version would make any difference.
I know some people are still on GB now, and hope that one of them would still have that rom in their system & wouldn't mind uploading it here or elsewhere so I can have a copy as well. I heard great things about it and want to try it out. I'm currently on the GB version of Blu Kuban but I don't like the theme so much (the blue is nice, but the black on black is a bit hard to navigate-- maybe someone would have some advice on that as well?).
TIA!
You should try Calkulin's E4GT v. 3.0 and there's a Overstew theme that has all the ics eye candy you want. Super stable with great battery life.

Appreciate the suggestion, will look into that. I had Calk's 2.8.1 for a while and it was great. BTW, I read that you're in BK. How are your 4g speeds if you're on ICS? I'm in Qns & it's ridiculous.
