4g roms

Are there any other 4g roms besides ava-froyo? I just got my evo Friday so I'm not to sure what's out.

please post this kind of thing in the Q&A section,
but yes. mostly all the roms that are "Sense" roms, will have working 4G. AOSP roms do not have 4G or HDMI yet. hope that helps
you should be able to tell fairly easily whether or not a certain rom has 4G

Try Fresh or Warm twopointwo.

Just read the very first post of any ROM thread. The author will (usually) say whether there is 4G or not. If they don't, that question will always be asked within the first few pages.

Almost all the roms here right now (as of 2010-11-09) are based off the stock sense rom and feature 4g. The only ones that don't are CyanogenMod, MIUI, the recent EVO-DEV AOSP rom, and any others that are based of Cyanogen or the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). I don't think there are more than a couple besides the three I mentioned.
There are several that are AOSP-themed (without most HTC Sense features) but they are still based on the stock Sense rom and feature 4G.
Edit: I forgot about the Desire HD based ROMs, those won't have 4g either.

Well the best way to search for tons would be to look at the EVO wiki. It has a list of all the roms and whether or not they are sense based. There are also a list of kernels and various other things. Well ay least that's what I did web I started looking for roms and kernels and whatnot. I'm just saying.

[Q] 2.3 Source Code

Here's to hoping that I dont get ripped on for posting LOL
I read about things that can and cant be done to the 2.3 ROMS because of there not being a source code. I dont know anything about that and I dont pretend to so I'm just wondering if what I'm reading here is what's needed to develop these further, such as kernels, etc??? http://source.android.com/
It says the 2.3 Source code is released but I have no clue what so ever if it's what's used or not.

Think of what's released by Google as an OS with no included drivers, but incompatible with all older drivers.
We need the source code for Samsung's build.

There's a diference between asking a question with an actual purpose, with an intent to learn, and with sources of your own finding...
And spamming the dev section with warrantless crap questions because you are too lazy to read through a simple instruction set..

It's not the real ics launcher. It's by SyndicateApps. The same people who made the honeycomb launcher.

Its too laggy for me. I ran it all day yesterday and ended up sticking with the honeycomb launcher

Its boring IMO, I hope that this isn't really the ics launcher. which means I hope those leaked pics were fake lol

Yeah, I mean the way it looks now it does, but with those leaked pics we dont know if there were customization features or stuff like that that weren't shown, which I hope is the case. It looks like they're keeping the sexy holographic style from honeycomb.

Perhaps because it's giving a false look at Ics? Or maybe (I truly with every fiber of my being hope not) they were close to the actual look of launcher for Ics.
The first one would make more sense to me, you don't need consumers judging the next iteration of Android prior to release due to the actions of a third party developer. Banning them is an unfair way to go about it if that's the case. But it would make sense.

Does anybody remembered the tread we had for Whoever Brought a fully Working ICS rom to our e4gt Will Get a Donation Pool...I try looking for it but i wasnt able to find it maybe this way devs will work harder now that we got an Alpha Built Of CM9 Last i remember we were at 2gs

This thread is classic. I bet the first to "get a fully working ICS" is Samsung when they release the official OTA lol. Before that i dont really see it happening without a nice leak. I mean i bet the current ICS wont be running real smooth with good battery % and all aspects working correctly without having a device specific leak from sammy. Well if sharing a idea to have the devs put there talents together and work together to build the ultimate rom,or asking if a dev could do something i like in a rom in place that says is a android community then i will no longer come to this site.

You didn't ask for anything lol you just want everyone to build a ROM and there's not even source to build a legitimate ROM based on jb. Ibtl

Offer to assist, come up with a base, (like _dan, crawrj, mattix..etc), offer what should/shouldn't be included..
Instead of just saying "I'd love to see xyz"; come up with a plan, detailed, and contribute.

So here's the thing. Every project has a certain number off developers that it can support and be able to move forward.
If every dev on here decided to make The One ROM, d probably never get off the ground, since there would be no agreement about what made a perfect ROM.
Instead, what we have is many devs working alone or in groups making their version of the perfect ROM.
However, none of these devs works on a vacuum. Almost everyone is using ideas, off not outright chunks of code from other devs, but reconciling it in novel ways.
The result its lots of choice for you to pick 'the perfect ROM for YOUR phone'.
