OK, so I flashed JB (yakjuux to takju) few days ago and now, my service (Koodo) can't connect to it for some reason. I don't know why, but I need a fix right now. So what I was thinking of was to flash radio that works with yakjuux (or something like that) and hope to God that that's gonna solve the problem.
I tried this SIM card on Nexus S (ICS) and that worked... I tried different SIM (Wind and Rogers) and that didn't read either. I am pretty sure that it's either hardware problem or radio problem. So my first attempt is to flash back to older radio or something that's more compatible with Canadian radio. Can anyone give me link to it?
Also can anyone tell me the problem of this? I did drop my phone before signal going all weird, so that might have been the problem... Any thoughts? I need it ASAP. Thanks in advance
Also just to let you know, when I go to Service Provider settings, Koodo does pop up, but it doesn't let me actually connect to it. It fails every single time...

I have recently updated to the Alltel GPS Rev A Rom. I have not been able to get the GPS working on my phone (Bell Canada Network). I am going to keep trying but I am wondering if I were to go back to my ROM that I downloaded specifically for Bell, how would I do that? I have been told it is difficult to Flash back to a previous ROM. I am also a little nervous, when I connect to the internet on my phone instead of connecting through the BEll network. It says it is connecting to the Alltel network. Will this affect my billing? Maybve I should flash back my original ROM and wait for a Bell official release. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
It is only a name on the connection. You are still connected to bell.
It takes a few minutes to get a lock....it is not uncommon to wait 2-5 minutes.
For myself, I use the 3.35 radio and I get my connection within 2 minutes most of the time with google map and igo

If you're getting paranoid seeing the AllTel Logo, just flash it to JD's 6.1 ROM and that will solve your problem. When it comes to the GPS, just make sure you followed all the instructions right for the GPS settings and for sure that will fix it. Just add a little patience with it.
With my Bell Touch everything is running smooth and awesome! its really worth doing the ROM upgrade!

Questions from a Newbie!
This is the first thread I have found that pertains to The Bell Network here in Canada. I have the HTC Touch and from what I have been reading that it IS possible to get the GPS feature activated in the Touch. My concern is I dont want to pooch my phone as I dont have a regular home phone...the touch is all I have. I want to unlock this feature but I need someone to walk me through the steps. It would be nice to also have someone post likes to the files that I will need to unlock the GPS on my Bell HTC Touch.
I hope that someone will respond and take the time to explain this to me...thanks in advance
Help Please
I think I may have pooched my Bell HTC Touch. I updated the ROM....however it was a Sprint ROM v 3.03.651.2 and the Radio is 3.42.30. It works perfectly as a cell phone but I can not connect to the internet to surf. When I try using INternet Explorer it says ...connecting to Sprint PCS....and it does not work, I tried loading the correct ROM for Bell ( v. 1.19.666.1) ....but it will not let me do it.
Can anyone tell me how to fix my phone?!! ARGH!!!!
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A VOGUE ONLINE IT KEEPS RESETTING ITSELF TRIED NEW ROMS AND THE MINUTE I DISCONNECT THE USB CONNECTION IT RESETS ITSELF EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES...HELP PLEASE..I WILL BE HERE ALL NIGHT
Alright.
1. Stop posting new threads about this! You are not the only one who has ever had a problem like this.
2. Post the link to where you got the original ROM.
3. Give us a DETAILED overview of what you did. The more you leave out, the less anyone can help.
4. Relax, these things can typically be fixed.
I think i have the wrong radio and it wont let me upgrade

Ok, So ive been trying like crazy to try to get gps locks with my xv6900, and I figured I would try the guide at
http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?title=Pocket_PC_WIki:FIX_VERIZON_GPS
Well downloading them was quite easy and getting the .40 coke to run was fine, but when I tried running 2.RUU_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_1.12.651.1_2.13.00_SPC_NV133_Ship It gave me an invalid error Id 294. not sure what to do, I tried it a few more times and I kept getting the same errors. Afterwards I basically gave up thinking if it was this much of a pain than I can live without the GPS feature, but I dont know where to go from here. I did download a different rom specially for the xv6900 but from what I have read( and I could be wrong here) I need to install a rom that isnt GPS capable in order to be able to boot back into WM to get this all sorted out. Basically I just need a rom to do that, unless I screwed up more than I hope. So I can get this thing going, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
EDIT : before i did this, I did install the BELL rom to upgrade to the 3.42.70? radio, perhaps thats why im getting the invalid ID error?
Also I am stuck at the 3 color screen that says
vogo100
SPL-0.36.0000
CPLD-3

Just rerun stock rom exe...
Good luck.
I went there and i wasnt exactly sure which one to download, So i downloaded the VzW_Vogue_20273_a1.rar nad prior to extraction it asks for a password...
Please explain in greater detail as to how I can fix the issue, Thave You.
Stock Verizon rom
Awesome, back up and running, Thank You very much.
Why the f do people with vzw vogues insist on upgrading the radio to the bell radio? There is likely to be little or no benefit.
I upgraded my radio to the Bell one at first figuring that vzw screws us over with so much, maybe even the radio would be inferior to other service providers...
but as you said there would be little or no benefit, and truth be told I have less dropped calls and better service in with my vzw radio.
(my house is the worst place for service so testing this was quite easy for me, the vzw radio works 90% of the time, the bell radio wouldn't send text messages often and I would miss phone calls on the regular)
Hi all,
Well this is my first real post on here, probably in the wronge section too. Apologies if that is the case.
Last night after backing up my stock phone etc, I installed the coredroid 3.2 stock on my phone through rom manager. This installed fine and worked briefly however about 30min later it lost my sim card and said 'no simcard'. I friends sims from other carriers and it didnt' say 'no sim card' but did say 'no service'. I tried 3 different sims in total all to different carriers. My phone was bought outright and is unlocked.
I quickly reverted to my backup and the same thing happened. I've since tried the latest nightly of cyanogen and still no luck but it runs very smooth otherwise.
Have i F%#$ my phone? Worst part is phone is only 3 weeks old and wife is not impressed..
PLEASE HELP!

well, if you flash custom rom, it's recommended to use their recommend radio.
but make sure s-off and eng s-off first.
if i were u, should give it a try, because you can't use your dhd as mobile phone either.
edit :
opps btw, have u tried your sim card to another phone? is it working ? if not working, then it's your simcard fault. hehe
but still, i'm personally will flash the recommended radio if i were u.
The simcard doesnt work in other phones either. When it is in mine it says 'no sim card'.
However when i use another simcard it simply says 'no service'. I will get another simcard tonight but will try the radio and pray it works!
Thanks for the advice, ill let you know how i go.
ya i pray for you. really hope u can use back your dhd , and get a new sim card replacement.
Ok,
Well i collected my new sim tonight and flashed to the recommended radio and ........still no service.
What is wrong with my phone? It recognises that i have an optus sim card but it still says no service (i am in a really good service spot for my provider so i know it isn't their problem).
So far i have replaced sim, restored backups, tried different roms, changed the radio....wifi works fine.
Please help, i'm freaking out, what an expensive paperweight i now have....save me!
IT's WORKING!!!
I have no idea why this happened but i thought i would install GAPPS and for one reason or another it got my phone working. My signal has returned and all is well.....for now.
Any idea why this would get my phone to work?
Thanks for the input.
Help. I have an unlocked ls990, I am with MetroPCS and I have a metropcs sim card in the phone. On every single rom I've tried I cannot get any service at all. All of them say "no sim card detected" and when I look in the settings, it says I'm connected to Sprint. I get a "1x signal" and cannot make any calls ot texts. I can't seem to find any info anywhere about my problem
I first tried the *#*#DATA#*#* and tried to switch to LTE/GSM it said "searching for service" for a second but it just reset itself back to LTE/CDMA (PRL)
I then tried to look for APN settings. There was no option to select it. It wasn't even in the menu.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?
Bump.
Really need help
I'm having the same problem right now. Can't get fix either!!!
Those Lollipop ROMs are aosp?
Sprint has not released Lollipop for G3
I fixed my device... I used CloudyG3, works like ah charm.
I have the G3 Sprint version LS990 with the same problem. did you flash baseband? which one?
Thanks
Just curious. Maybe a noob question, but what would flashing a different baseband do?
How can we enable GSM on aosp roms for LS990?. There are very nice roms here but not GSM. it just keeps switching between gsm and cdma.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't want to make a new one with this already here.
I'm having the same issue. I have a Sprint ls990 but I rooted and went to Straight Talk. It was a pain, but I finally got it working on GSM for the last 10 months, so I know it's possible. I've been running CloudyG3. I have been having issues with the internal memory and I wanted to update to Lollipop anyway so yesterday I tried flashing new roms (I've tried BlissPop and OctOS). I'm not getting any service. I wrote down my old APN settings and tried them with no luck, and got a different set of APN settings from Straight Talk (not sure why there would be 2 different settings?) but no luck with them either.
I tried starting from scratch so last night I wiped everything, formatted the memory, and installed my nandroid that I took before I started all of this. Today all I've done is flash BlissPop and Gapps, still no service.
If anybody could offer any help I'd greatly appreciate it. I know just enough about this stuff to be dangerous.
Edit: I wanted to update this in case there's anybody else having the same issue. I flashed Dirty Unicorns version 9.1 and my service came back. The only thing I can think of is that that rom is compatible with the Sprint ls990 and being unlocked for GSM. I'm sure there's somebody that knows more about it that can explain it better.
