A message for the webmaster.
Have just joined today and am initially interested in reviewing all posts from Australia concerning hardware and software, sources and issues.
Is is possible to sort membership list by country (not location) to make this easier?
We removed a large number of Private Message spam messages yesterday. So if you got an e-mail announcing a PM and no PM was there when you logged in, this is ok.
Damn spammers...
EDIT MDAIIIUser
Removed the Global Announcement as the Info is now old 10/05/2006
Many thanks! Your hard work is much apreciated.
Warm regards,
Neil.
It has been a problem on a lot of forums recently, as it seems there is now code that can integrate with the board and autosend to a selection from the members list.
With XMB the latest version has code to prevent this - so i would guess there is also a version for phpBB.
If it is from a unique IP there is no harm in blocking it as a quick temporary fix.
Got this one the other day in my PM box...

Comment removed by me!
If you read his post subject, it says, "Got this one the other day in my PM box..." This implies that he is willing to notify us of this spam PM occurence.
Ah ha, please accept my sincere apologies! I was all in a bind about spam and clearly not thinking properly. Again, i retract my comments 100% and have edited out my previous post.
Regards,
Neil.
Friends,
Rumour has it that Android 2.0+ will not be released for General Mobile DSTL1. If you are an owner of a DSTL1 or Sciphone N21, this means your device will not benefit from the upcoming version of Android.
However there are many people who work individually for incredible ROMs to make these devices better, like AmonRa, Andferno, Crzyruski etc. These people will need the source codes for the new ROMs so that they can continue developing.
Please take a minute and help them by posting your wish at the General Mobile dot com's contact page.
Remember; Android is a very extendable OS and can be made better by continued efforts.
Thanks and peace.
Hallo!
Of course it is impossible to add an own forum (or forum group == General-Forum, Q&A-Forum Development-Forum) for each device, but on the other hand, in the device independent forums like those in Android Development and Hacking is such a lot of new posts, that any thread gets lost in a view minutes.
Would it be a possibility to add vendor specific forums (or groups) for the more important vendors? For Acer there are forums for A700/701 and A 510/511 (Acer Iconia A700 and A510). I understand, that it is not possible to add a Forum or Group for each Device of Acer, but a forum 'Acer: Other devices' would be helpful. Even the same for the other big vendors, just on forum for all minor important devices of those vendors. I think this should not be more 10 Forums (when each more important vendor gets one vendor: other devices forum).
I hope not to be impolite with my suggestion,
kind regards Uwe
Hi guys, I'm newbie on xda-developers, but I like this site. There are many people full of desire to help each other.
Also I'm newbie in development mobile application, I've released few application for Android. But my applications are better and better .
Recently I've released "SQL Tools" for Android, it's a good application useful for IT people (system administrators, developers, owners of web sites and others). It's unique application which can perform backup & restore sql databases, analyze and fine-tuning config file of sql servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL). I haven't seen similar application in Google Play.
So, my problem is: I'd like to publish review in Paid Software forum here, but I registered on forum.xda-developers.com recently and I'm not allowed to create a new thread in this Forum. I don't want to violate the rules of Forum and publish this review in other Forums.
Who can help me to post my review and then refer to me as owner of the application.
Thank you very much.
