What is the difference between gedeRom and jellybean? - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Should I switch to jellybean?

Which rom has the least issues for now?
Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using xda app-developers app

JellyBean is much smoother (faster). I would recomend to use gedeROM for now. it has no big issues at this moment. jellybean is still like "beta". still needs some time to work out all the bugs.

What kind of bugs do they have

Well JellyBean may have google play, rotation, and some other yet unknown bugs. Since it is new.
But they both have 1 bug: When you charge, it does will not show up on the screen that it charges. But it still will charge.
gedeROM has build.prop edited, so you`ll be able to use much more apps.

OK just tried it all works great. Thanks for the help

I hope not. Not a fan of MIUI. At all. But for those that do enjoy it, i hope you get what you want.
As for JB, yes. We will most def get it. Timely manner? Its att, you figure it out.
But MIUI got the best customization packages.

Sprint TV

Sorry if its posted anywhere but I couldn't find it. I can't get Sprint TV to load in my E4GT. I haven't used it in awhile but football season is here.
I DL from the market, open the apk to install. When I open the app, I get a screen telling me to update. Umm, wouldn't the market have the latest edition? Anyway I hit the upgrade button, then a blank screen and the a FC. Anyone else having that problem?
I am rooted, updated profile and PRL, then reboot and still same problem.

Rolled back to a FF18 build and all installs and works perfectly. Sprint signature missing in newer builds?

Ya for some reason the market app didnt work for me either. I saved this apk from an older ics leaked rom. I believe there is an older thread around here that has some sprinttv.apks but I can't find it.

So wait. Do you actually have it working in a cm10 ROM? I has it actually open on a cm9 ROM but all of the channels said I needed a subscription. Basically I didn't have any free channels.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Ive been looking and don't see anything. Wont work on AOSP or AOKP ROMs. The app runs but no subscriptions. I was having trouble with ROMs between FF18 and FH23. Seems to have been fixed on latest leak. Haven't tried any FI03's yet.

Old apk
Hey guys, I'm on re-calk 0.2.0 and had the same upgrade message. I had a copy of an old apk for Sprint TV that I had to use to update the version when I was on GB Calk 2.9.1. I installed it this afternoon and it started right up for me with out the subscription information. Thought I would share in case it might work for you too.

Better ROM

Which one do you guys think is better, CM10 Beta2 or CNA 3.8.0? and why?

I'm on Codenane for several months now. Less buggy than CM10 for me.
Flash and see. I can hear jay coming now

I'm on CM10 nightlies and update it about once a week. It has been really stable lately and seems to just work. The only but that bothers me is the volume bug with headphones but it's not much of an issue. My 2ยข

I'm also not that crazy about the pink horse as a boot ani. or the horse "porn" wallpapers
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I don't know if you tried PAC man 19.0 ROM or not. I've been using it foe a while and it's exactly like paranoid android and cm10. Less buggy and it locks GPS quickly. I've had few problems in the past with getting GPS on few of these ROMs. Give it a try.

If you need tether or bluetooth, the answer to your question is no, not for now. Other than that look in the original development forum and you have many choices for great cm10 or aosp based rom.

How about AOKP? I've been running it for a week and it is really stable for me with great battery life!

Bluetooth fixed, huh?
And, what' the pic function? Is that a replacement for lockscreen targets? I might have to finally make the switch permanently.

There was a bug on previous build on Bluetooth but on yesterday's build he fixed it .
Its a pie not pic ; from which you can do certain thing by sliding ur finger up from bottom. Check rom thread for it. Lockscreen target are already customizable in it.

Try Superbeam Scanner from the play store. Works flawlessly with sending and receiving things from NFC capable devices. I can send things from and to my Nexus 7 using my S3. It's a win win.
