Hi
Trying to unlock sim of my htc incredible 2
Tried several different "unlock code sellers" provided me the same unlock code which is incorrect
I am not a Verizon customer just bought it on ebay
Is there any other option? Or the only option is to disassemble it

Thank you for advice
But I am not so sure that after spending more 50 $ for codes and tools it will work.
And more than that adding to phone cost more 50 $ will make it gold

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone can help me. I've been searching this forum for about three months trying to find a way to unlock my DINC2 to tmobile. I read somewhere that if you downgrade t0 hboot 97 you can do it. I successfully downgraded and yet I can't find a tutorial on how to unlock. I bought the phone from a pawn shop because someone told me I can call Verizon and get the unlock code. This is NOT TRUE. You need to have service with Verizon and be in good standing for 90 days before you can get an unlock code and in my area Verizon coverage SUCKS!!! For now I'm just using the phone to tether internet to my computer. Is there any way to unlock this phone without buying the XTC Clip or calling Verizon???

All the xtc clips I have seen are around $50-$75, I have tried two unlocking sites and neither of them could provide codes so I am looking into a xtc clip.
I got a code off ebay, it worked fine. It was $5. This is the particular auction I bought from -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290655259604
It arrived within a few hours, I typed it into the phone, and the SIM unlock was reported successful. Note that I haven't put in another SIM to test it out yet, however the process gave the correct & positive feedback messages that implied the code worked.
I just wanted to be clear.
I cannot change default provider without buying an unlock code?
I have never had to buy a code before
I have rooted it and "unlocked" it (via htcdev.com) as the word "unlock" has two meanings
You see, I can buy about 10 of these for $85 each (going out of business this weekend) and wanted to be clear what my profits would be to make them network free
I have read this was not possible on other threads but that was before htcdev.com allowed unlocking of bootloader and wondered if that had made a difference
Cheers
Unlocking your bootloader doesn't remove the SIM-LOCK (see FAQ at HTCdev)...........so if your phone is branded, you won't be able to use any other sim unless the Sim-lock is removed.............instead of buying the codes for $85,buy an XTC-Clip it removes all restrictions from your phone
Thanks

Cheers, I just wanted to make sure I hadnt missed anything
BTW the phones were $85 each not the unlock code
It would take about ten phones to make the XTC worth my while considering the AU dollar
Checking it out as I type

I took too long and didnt get those phones, just the one I tried to work out
I succumbed and bought an unlock code although I will say I got it for free as I purchased it through freeunlocks.com
The whole thing seems dodgy but it worked out
I bought 250 business cards for $15 from vista and then they sent me an unlock code after a few hours that worked instantly.
I was wanting to get those business cards from that site anyway that advertises on EBay so they seemed legit
If I went direct they were are "free'' and $9 delivery but I will say I was able to unlock it for free.
Wish I had whatever code generator they are using.
So I now have a totally unlocked wildfire s (the b model here in OZ) for $85 cool and $15 worth of business cards
Wish I had been more ballsy and spent $800. Could made some cash

Can't you unlock it on www.htcdev.com?
I don't think he means the bootloader, I think his handset is carrier branded.
I'm not too sure on how to do it myself, if there is a way I think Mike1986 or Football might know.
I got my branded hox unlocked by http://www.mobileunlocked.co.uk/ it cost £11.99 and took 20 mins

Plus if we had the xtc clip & Goldcard we'd have achieved S-off by now...
Ring T mobile and request an unlock code, I don't think they can refuse by law, they will charge you around 15 quid.
1. Is your bootloader unlocked?
2. Are u running a custom rom?
If you have even 1 of these as fare as I'm aware u have to be on stock for the unlock to work. espeshaly if your getting the same code time and time again.

Here many services are available to unlock your HTC one x.You can get the unlock code from the site Simpleunlocking.com here they ask your phone's IMEI number. If you give them, then they deliver unlock code to you. You can unblock your phone by using this unlock code.

If you on contract with them it's free and even if your on pay as you go its free. You can use any website to get an unlock code and use that as well.
I re locked my bootloader as it wouldn't let me do it unlocked and custom

Are you sure it's free on Three? Every time I've asked them, they've quoted £15.32 in store and through phone calls to unlock. And the only info I can find on the website, claims pretty much the same: http://support.three.co.uk/srvs/cgi...sername=Mobile:mobileUser?s_search=helpsearch
Probably would be cheaper from somewhere else though.
It would be a lot cheaper elsewhere but I know they had to give my sister an unlock code for the i9000. But I'm sure I read somewhere as well in the UK there not aloud to sell simlocked phone but if they do there abliged to give you the unlock code.
Best thing to do is check citizens advice website if you don't want to pay for it to see if the info is true. I only heard it through the grapevine, but what's £3-5 to get an unlock code its a lot cheaper than i****e unlock cides

When I had my Galaxy S, I was able to unlock it with a program that worked perfectly.
I have not found any such program for the S3, why is this? Is the phone harder to work on?
If cellunlock.net can get the unlock code, why can't one of XDA's resident geniuses create a program that get's the code?
Thanks,
Ian
hello
i am looking for a soln also,
well be out of country soon and would like to get the phone unlocked so that we can get a pay as you go sim
cheers
Not sure what network you're on, but if you're with AT&T, try a web chat with their customer support and ask if you could get the unlock code. That's what I did, and the second person I talked to gave it to me.

I bought an unlock code on ebay for $5 and worked perfectly, I have an AT&T S3. Look for seller myhoian on ebay.
Hi, I also have another question. cellunlock.net asks for the 15 or 17 digit IMEI from my phone,
When I dialed *#06# the IMEI was The 15 digits then / 02
so do I include the 02 in to make it 17 or just the first 15?

Yea I'm looking on eBay right now cause I want to unlock my phone and there are some cheap ones. Found one for 4.50 but it looks like they all say "I am shipping you this code blah blah" basically stating they can't e-mail you the code because of ebay's policy. So is that how it works they mail you the code instead of just e-mailing it to you?

How disappointing.

Hi guys! first, thanks for your time.
I'm going crazy finding unlock code for my HTC One X.
I bought it on December 2012, from Personal (Telecom) Argentina.
I tried almost all the Ebay publications an all claim to don't have the unlock code.
I tried also, some pages too. I don't have any problem to pay for "fresh db" or something but I'm traveling out of my country in 1 month, and I need the unlock code in order to use local company from the other country.
Anyone know a VERY good page for unlock?
Thanks again for your time, and hope you all have a nice day.

The OP is right, SIM unlock is possible with the right code. Most people that did this bought it indeed from eBay. Maybe you can get some more info at your provider, or at least the provider where its locked to ?

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
My provider will give me the unlock code when the contract ends (in 1 more year).
I unlocked a lots of cellphones for friends, via ebay. But I don0t understand why nobody got the un lock code for my imei.
PD: I'm not asking for a software or rom for sim-unlock. Just good unlock pages to try (where you pay for the code).
Thanks again hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I successfully used cellunlocker.net on my previous hox and it was a tuff one as 2 other sites failed. Actually even they failed first attempt and I believe I had to try their 'alternate method' which worked. Took a few days though.
Good luck
