BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
H BOOT 1.02.0001
RADIO -4.06.00.02.2
If you can get to recovery then follow this: if you just want a fix then follow this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275632
it will be under the red number 7(It will be called RUU without usb connection) start at phase 2
it will return your phone to stock (everything should be working)and if you still wish to s-off, then use revolutionary or unrevoked to do so.
Same guy, thread #2, same problem. Try with Bortak's guide, but I'm sure you have tried it.
Put the phone in the freezer (I'm not jocking) for about 20-30 minutes, then take it out, connect to PC and run 2.3 RUU.

Looks like you're not in recovery there, but in Fastboot menu.
You might want to go back to bootloader menu and check if you have the recovery option.
From there maybe you can flash a working rom...
yes i can go to recovery but when i press recovery i get stuck at logo screen!and i have to pull the battery out to turn it off...
Read bortak's troubleshooting guide. Go to Desire Q&A/Stickies and down too [2] in the guide. I would read from the start tho, its a very usefull guide to know for any future problems.

Let us know if it has been useful.
i have red it already...i cant get it into recovery!!! i see only bootloader and when i press recovery it gets stuck on a logo!! never mind its probably a hardware issue ....
You are in stock recovery as you are s-on, if you want custom recovery you need s-off or flash it during rooting process via unrevoked.
Extract Rom.zip from CORRECT RUU and rename it to PB99IMG.zip and put in the root of sd card, if phone is branded and you are unable to find correct ruu, use WWE rui and goldcard, all the additional info you find in bortak's guide

Read it again.. go down too [2] and then down too the s-on part.
"i'm s-on, i cant boot recovery, and my phone does'nt boot" . From what i can see, thats ur problem, bortak's guide covers this. Correct me if im wrong.

i already tried bortak's guide,i am not that noob and i tried like 10 different roms and nothing,it does load the rom but when it restarts it just hangs again at boot screen
and i cannot use unrevoked or revolutionary or ruu because the phone isnt recognized by any of these programs because i didn't activate usb debugging and now the phone doesn't turn on and i can't do that,i am telling you i have spent 2 whole days reading and trying all kind of stuff and nothing helped..i think its a hardware failure of some kind....
i think it is a hardware issue because when i install drivers it says android bootloader device but it says also that device cannot start (code 10)
anyway i tried yesterday heating the MBO with hot air in my workshop(i am electric technician) i thought some chip on MBO was unsoldered but with no luck so i threw the whole thing away in the garbage!
Hi All,
Returning missus Desire back to stock and have searched and found many guides..
following through, I'm basically installing the following RUU from .EXE file:
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_122704.exe
The phone was previously on Orange and I understand there is no RUU for this.
Upon installing this EXE...it gets to the area about checking the phone and intialising and all I get everytime is an Error 170 USB Connection Error. It can't seem to see the phone.
I am on XP and have tried the phone booted in to its current ROM (ICS) and also under FASTBOOT USB but neither makes any difference...
Any ideas?
Many thanks...
Rich
You're missing proper drivers on your PC. Try to download and install htc sync or driver package from htc dev site and then to reconnect phone.

That's not recovery, that's bootloader. Below that you have meny loking smth like this:
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
ERASE STORAGE...
You can use volume up and down buttons to navigate, highlight recovery and then press power to enter recovery.
If you wanna install stock, reboot your phone and let RUU running. My recomendation is to use 2.3 RUU since it's made for all versions of desire no matter of carrier. You can find it on htc dev site.

Well I have put back the stock HBOOT....
installed a RUU which now just gives me a white HTC screen and goes no further....
I downloaded the 2.3.3 correct RUU but it won't see my device and HTC sync won't install the drivers.
Any ideas folks?
Rich
Oh my BOOTLOADER now says this:
ALPHAREV
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT 6.93.1002
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
Radio 4.05.00.11
And also...within Device Manager my phone is being picked up as Android Bootloader Interface
Ok, this is the trick, your hboot has write protection and ruu can't overwrite radio. From your bootloader I can see you have old radio which won't work with 2.3 RUU. Of course RUU should overwrite the radio during install but it's not posible because of protected hboot...
You have to download downgrade hboot from alpharev site, flash it and you will have unlocked hboot. After that run RUU from PC and it will overwrite both radio and hboot.
But, you will lose s-off and root, so revolutionary again :-D
And don't worry about what's written in device manager, it's normal.

|I have already flashed Bravo Stock off the Alpharev site .... you can see in my post a change in the HBOOT information from Revolutionary to ALPHArev.....
If I try using the RUU it just says it can't find the Phone again.....USB error 170....
Any more help would be appreciated please...bricked phone!!

You actually don't want to read carefully, not stock bravo but DOWNGRADE that's the right one. After flashing you'll have this on top in bootloader:
ALPHAREV UNLOCK
not just alpharev.
Then after flashing reboot to bootloader not fastboot and then run RUU.
If RUU won't work you can try with rom.zip on sd card but that's a different story.

Hey there,
i actually own a Htc sensation, but my cousin wanted to s off and root his desire, which went all fine.
Now after a year, he wanted to send in his Desireto maintenance, and asked me to to return everything to stock. According to the guides, it was said that is would be sufficient to simply flash a stock ruu to S-on und unroot again.
I flashed the stock ruu via pc, and followed all the instructions. It says flash successful and i can use the desire again.
There goes the trouble, the phone wont boot up anymore only white boot screen with htc logo, no bootloop or anything similiar, all i can access is the bootloader ?
Am i missing something ? can someone help me out please ?
The bootloader says the following :
REVOLUTIONARY
BRAVO PVT4 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT 6.93.1002
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL SYNT0101
RADIO 4.05.00.11
This is was it given after flashing the officiall ruu , recovery cant be started anymore as well
any help would be appreciated
First you need to flash downgrade hboot from:
www.alpharev.nl
And flash it via fastboot.
Then download 2.3 ruu from htcdev (you have an explanation how to get in my signature) and run it from your PC. Then you'll get s-on and stock and working 2.3 on your device.

Hi,
This is how you downgrade a Desire/Bravo with the HBOOT 1.02.0001 already installed, - this method is appropriate for people who need to downgrade the HBOOT for unlock purposes. I struggled for ages on this and once I found the method thought i'd post it around the internet as I couldn't find this info anywhere.
-Summary of steps-
1)Turn S-Off + Update HBOOT
2)Downgrade HBOOT to 0.93.0001 (Turns S-ON)
I have personally tested this and it worked perfectly without any problems. However flashing anything to your phone is done at your own risk, & I accept no responsability for your device.
--Step 1--
Download and run the Revolutionary tool here http://revolutionary.io/ to turn S-Off - Follow the steps on their website for how to do this if you get stuck.
Once you have run the Revolutionary tool, when it asks if you want to install the Clockworkmod recovery press no.
You will now have an S-Off phone running HBOOT 6.93.1002
--Step 2--
Format a microSD card, download the following zip file and save it to your memory card.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/dyyn35zm07x2x7a/PB99IMG.zip LINK UPDATED 2 JAN 2013
You should now have a single file on your memory card named PB99IMG.zip
--Step 3--
Put the microSD card back in your phone and hold 'VOL+DOWN + ACTION' and press the power button to get to the HBOOT menu. Wait around 10 seconds (give or take) and the phone will detect the update and ask you to install it, Select yes to install then reboot your phone back into the HBOOT menu.
You will now have an S-On phone with the 0.93.0001 HBOOT
--Step4-- IF THIS STEP APPLIES TO YOU FOR UNLOCKING
Unlock with XTC-Clip as you normally would - Creating goldcard with 0.93.X001 HBOOT.
Your phone will now be unlocked.[/QUOTE]
NOTE: You can do the official updates through the phone as normal without loosing your unlock
Hope you find this info useful
what ruu (PB99IMG) is it?
what if someone has an orange branded phone, coz there is no ruu for it and they would need a goldcard.
what about people from different regions coz theres different ruu's for different regions aswell and they would need a gold card.
edit: its a hboot.img, thought it was an ruu.
did u try this yet? does it work?
normaly when u change hboots u have to format partitions. if u go to the trouble of getting s-off then why not just run the correct ruu for ur device, just to be safe.

Hi,
It souldn't matter what network the phone is on - The HBoot was taken from a WWE RUU & I tested it with a UK Vodaphone branded desire which worked. I used this method to unlock a 1.02.0001 phone which isnt supported by xtc hence the downgrade needed. You shouldn't need a goldcard for the downgrade part as running the revolutionary tool will switch s-off, after applying the downgraded hboot it will turn s-on but as you will be on the old 0.93.0001 hboot you can just create the goldcard with xtc and complete the unlock if this step applies to you - it probably does as I dont know another reason for downgrading to this HBOOT.
Running the downgrade will wipe the phone - it did atleast with mine.
The reason I couldnt run an RUU to downgrade the hboot after turning s-off is because revolutionarys tool adds some protection to prevent hboot flashing via RUU & fastboot. The only way I could find to do it was to flash it directly from the SD card.
As for the other regions you may be right and need a local hboot - I'm not able to test this as I only ever get UK phones to unlock. If it is the case the HBOOT which you want to downgrade to can always be extracted from a local RUU and added to your own update.zip (named correctly of course) - The network branded phones on the other hand should make no difference - as s is off, so a UK orange, vodafone etc will take the hboot from WWE RUU aslong as s is off. (This is why its neccessary to run revolutionary first)
Hope this info helps.
cool. just so u know to unlock the hboot 6.93.1002 u have to flash the Alpharev downgrader img, that way it can be overwritten by an ruu

Hi,
Thanks for mensioning that, I did actually run the Alpharev downgrader as part of the process but completely forgot to add that step ( I wrote the tutorial after doing it not during ) With me though after running the alpharev downgrade the hboot still wouldnt downgrade from the ruu - also tried manually flashing with fastboot but got various errors (something to do with usb something or other - maby it was just my usb's playing up again as they occasionaly do) so for me I still had to do the sd card way but if you find it works for you with the ruu then even better.
For anyone getting stuck, do this step after running revolutionary - Just download the Bravo Downgrader from here http://alpharev.nl/ and run it before continuing with the rest of the steps.
i always use PB99IMG awsell, my laptop dont like my phone haha

desire with broken volume keys
hi friends, I found a HTC Desire bravo at the flee market and bought it thinking it is actually a nexus-one... a nice phone with lots of nice futures in it after a charging session the phone boot up and it was alive back again. with one problem the volume keys was not working.. ı dismantled it and cleaned up as it is described in xda forums and didn't worked so i made a little check and found the thin foil attaching the volume keys to the main board was broken since there is no way to fix it without changing the main board and i had no intention to pay lots of money on it i left it like that with one problem; no way to boot in to recovery from start... after couple of days i found i didn't liked the rom on it i decided to change it, there was no problem since i could boot it to recovery using the restart menu which the ROM had since it was rooted but i made a mistake and fell in to a boot lope the only way to boot it back was the adb commands but phone couldn't start up so no debugging mode only fast boot so i tried many fast boot commands to boot in to recovery with no success after searching forums i found lots of desire bravos around with the same problem.. so i used ruu to reboot it properly the only ruu worked for me was the official 2.3.3 update ruu ''RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread).exe'' the phone booted and working now but no s off and no root and there was no way to root it without the volume up and down keys i was stuck with the useless unrooted rom so here how i rooted the phone without the volume keys first you have to download ''DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip'' and run it in USB debugging mode after that you have a working recovery partition to install a recovery bin using fastboot or what ever( the problem was after the update i lost the phones recovery partition and couldn't get the state s-off even i am s-off there was no recovery partition... since i am not good at commands to re format the boot loader this could be a life saver so i decided to share my experience... afterwards you can boot into recovery since you have a recovery partition you can push any recovery to your phone i think zergrush tool is not intended to use with bravo that why no body mentioned it in the bravo forums ops i forgot the say i used alphadevs methods and software to gain s-off on my phone before using zergrush i hope this will hwlp people like me stucked with non fonctioning volume keys
Hello all,
I'm new to android and this forum.
My HTC Desire seems to be stuck in a
bootloop. Every recovery method i have found seems
to require that I enable USB debugging in order to do
the recovery.Since my phone cannot be bootable.i can not turn debug on via phone setting.
Is there a way that I can enable USB debugging
without booting into the phone.
If not, can you please outline a procedure that i can
follow to do a recovery from this state.
or kindly suggests me a suitable stock RUU that can make my phone bootable.
My desire bootloader details.....

I recommend you find and flash the 2.3.3. GB RUU
Use bortak's troubleshooting guide stickied to the top of Q&A for guidance on how to flash the RUU.

hii. as u mentioned to try 2.3 Gb RUU......i flashed it with 2.3GB RUU update.everything went ok till 90% then RUU says that Update fail. Now my htc desire stucts at black HTC logo screen with four exclamation marks on its corner. Even i cannot go to bootloader by holding vol down + power key..
..please help me to sorts out this problem.
BootLoader screenshot is attached below....
Unfortunately the Radio_V2 fail is the worst kind of fail you can find.
Means you have a radio brick, hardware problem
You can keep trying to flash the RUU until it works, or try putting the phone in a bag in a freezer for a few minutes (yes seriously) and try running the RUU again.
Even if you make the phone bootable, it's likely to fail in the long run.
