Heya guys,
I have the 2000mAh Extended battery kit.
I was wondering whether there are any replacement covers for the thickened battery covers the 2000mAh battery kit comes with, I'm just worried that if I break this cover, I don't want to buy the entire kit again, so I was wondering if there were any replacements you can buy online? I've checked eBay and other online markets, and wasn't able to find it.
If you guys know of any suppliers online who sells cool looking alternatives for the 2000mAh battery cover that came with the kit, could you guys link me there?
Thanks
Nicholas
Anyone?
EDIT: BUMPING AGAIN

if you know anything, reply here please!
I need one to asap i got a battery pack with SK cover...
Yep i guess we are screwed, im waiting for the price of the kit going down again.
send a email to the people who make the kit and see if they do any different versions? or if you could get some extra ones like you have, what about covering them in vinal, painting to your own design etc

There is practically nothing you can do first of all the battery is in short supply, and no one who is using it would be willing to give one to you.
I suggest you get the otterbox case put it on and move on with life.

I'd like to buy one too, white color to be exact

did you buy the black or white kit? they both look like battery cover is not glossy. I'd like to know too..
hopefully soon.. but 25pounds is too much for the kit.
Flashing your galaxy, press Y to continue..
If someone wants to swap their black battery cover(2000mAh extended) with my white one(2000mAh extended), let me know.
i bought the black kit because I have the black galaxy s2. I currently use a bumper case, so i don't want the battery cover to be permanently damaged if anything happened to it.
Just casually bumping it up again. To see if anyone knows

Have you tried using NFC after putting in the Galaxy Nexus battery? Confirmed it's still working?
Just want to rule out that it has NFC but is somehow incompatible with the T989 NFC.

why not just use the Mugen 2000 mAh battery?
i only trust OEM batteries when it comes to Extended
besides 2000 - 1850 = 150 mAh gain, not really worth the upgrade
however 2100 - 1850 = 250 mAh gain, that is at least a decent quater pound over the original
it should at least give you another hour with 250 mAh
but 150 wont even last you 30min
according to the mAh consumption history of my phone, it averages around 213 to 555 mAh when in use, game or web surfing
iddle is 2 mAh

Here's why...
About the same price, OEM it is.
OEM Sammy has higher capacity, which is usually what they state. 3rd party batteries are generous with their numbers and tend to lie.
NFC

Agreed. OEM or not, it doesn't fit. I could rig a laptop battery up to my phone, that doesn't mean it's better. "but all you have to do is leave the battery door off and duct tape it to the back..." Um....no thanks. I don't care what kind of battery it is, if it doesn't fit, it's a waste of time.
Here's the extended Galaxy Nexus battery in my SGS2.
Can't tell you the battery life yet, gimme a day or two.
I'm not using the back cover, the Seidio Active takes care of it. Not a big deal since the case never comes off anyway.
peel off the label on the battery and take a Dremel to the back cover to make space. The case is thin, but a few thousands of an inch shouldnt hurt. you could possibly have the battery case down too if you're brave.
that case looks a touch heavy, how does it feel? whats the front look like?

i know our battery door is extremely flexible
i'm sure you can at least keep the better half of the batter door clicked in
while leaving only the bottom part un-hooked
and let the phone case do the rest of the job at keeping the batter in place

It seems to give about an hour more roughly. I did a little over 15hrs the other day (auto sync, BT, 4G, yadayada). I usually finish with about 14 normally.
YMMV, you may or may not see any difference.
If money is tight, don't buy it. I'm sure most people aren't going to go bonkers over that one hour.
hi all, anyone tried one of these or have any views on them?

I would maybe try this one first
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2300mAh...ccessories&hash=item3f117fadeb#ht_5834wt_1413
i don't trust oversized. Also the Gnex requires that the battery has a NFC chip on it to be able to use the Gnex's NFC function
what's the capacity on the standard battery packs? That 2.3ah one you linked to does not look much bigger, do you also need a new back cover for that one?

Only $5.99 USD?
That's too good to be true ... most probably fake, I meant it contain less than 2300 mAH.
And it is for "Galaxy Nexus prime" ... bwahahaha ... Yeah, right!
Also, it does not look to have NFC.
I bought this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/110797773716#ht_4338wt_905
It has NFC and it is (slightly) higher capacity. The back cover fits perfectly, and is almost identical to the CDMA GN back cover. Makes the device just a tad less concave near the bottom. Looks and fees better in my opinion.
I've ordered one of the 3,800 ones, I'll post a review when I get it!
Both the cheap ones do seem a bit too good to be true, but for the price of the so called 3800mah one I might try it and test it out.

Been thinking about this. I hate putting on huge battery packs so the 2000mAh was appealing. but $50 for such a small bump is hard to justify for me, especially considering I have no plans to get a desk charger and swap batteries.

I was thinking the same thing, but I went for it anyway. I bought it so I wouldn't have to swap batteries. The 2000mah battery has about 15% more capacity, so if you get say 12 hours on the regular battery, you should get 13.7 hours. If you get 18 hours, you should get 20.6 hours. As well, I find my GN feels much better in my hand with the extended battery: it is slightly heavier and less concave in the back (i.e., it looks like an LTE GN).

Awesome, wasn't sure if it was online only.
I think it's good for folks who don't live near Verizon stores.
This does not work on sprints version. The tabs do not line up for the cover and its the wrong color
The only down fall is it has the Verizon logo on it. I'll double check when I get home. I'll have to check it when I get home.

This is correct. Sprint doors and Verizon door tabs are different. Color is the same though.
I wonder if something can be done about it.
I jumped on the deal thinking it would fit, great price, and I was going away for the weekend and an extended battery would come in handy.
That being said, could it be that some of the tabs would fit in? Or is it completely different?
I might have to go to my local Verizon store in the morning and see if they have it in stock.

I just got Sprint doors in today for my business. I checked the fitting on my Verizon GNex just out of curiousity. The only difference I found is one tab on the right side that is out of alignment. Essentially you could remove that tab and have a fitting door. Granted it might be loose in that area but fit nonetheless.
EDIT: I'm sorry I just did a visual check of both doors side by side. The Verizon has 2 tabs on the middle of the right side as opposed to the Sprint version with just one placed inbetween where those 2 are located. You could remove those 2 tabs, but again you'd have a loose door in that area. Those are the only thing that make the doors different, all the other tabs are the same.

NP, I was able to pick up a battery at the store by my office, and after trimming the little plastic tabs, works fine.
For $25 it's a good deal, and will come in handy. The only sucky part is the Verizon LTE logo in the back
This was mentioned the first time these batteries went on sale but you can fit the stock battery door with the 2100 mah batteries. I'm using the stock cover on mine (vzw gn) with the extended battery. It bulges slightly but hasn't caused any problems. My incipio case fits over it as well.

Can you post some pictures of these batteries and compare them size-wise to the stock? I have a 3800 maH battery, but it is way too thick for my liking, would just like to see what the 2100 battery looks like with the cover.
I have another extended battery coming (they were back on sale over the weekend for $25 so I picked up another) and will snap a pic of it next to the stock battery when it comes in. You can't tell any difference in the phone with the stock/ext. battery since I'm using the stock door. I also picked up a Ringke slim case and it fits with the ext. battery/stock door no problem.

I just got this battery in the mail today. It is only a mm or two thicker than the stock battery. With the cover in place, it is even with the bottom of the phone versus slightly concave with the stock battery/cover. It does not at all look or feel like an "extended" battery. Not unwieldy at all.
I'm sure its not unwieldy. Does it feel different? If you weren't looking for it, could you tell? Sorry for all the questions.
Also, how does it perform? I am trying to decide whether to get a spare stock to switch out or this extended battery. Thanks.
Thursday i bought a 3800mAh extended battery from ebay with sprint in the title and also on the battery itself from the pictures i saw. I looked in the description and it also said verizon in it and was a tad confused as to will it fit. For $15 i figured i might as well try it out and see but it gets here monday. I just wanted to know if anyone knows if it will fit on my sprint galaxy nexus properly? or maybe i will have to make some alterations as long as it works? link for it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370639867086
Note: Battery also says i515(Verizon)/L700(Sprint)
Yea that should fit the phone fine. I have the seido 3800 battery and it Has a similar back as described in the pic.
The bad news for this battery is its a cheap Chinese made one and typically they are made of cheap components and won't give u what Ur expecting in battery life....maybe I'm wrong..let Me know the life of it.
The back of the case is slick and I found I needed the 3800 hardshell case to avoid it from falling out of my hand. You may need it as well.
The NFC function may not work with that battery...but Google wallet isn't something I find myself using much anyhow so no big deal.
If the battery sucks...I recommend the seido 3800 as ive been using it for a year and get a full days use fairly easy.

Well the battery came today and had 53 percent left on it. Currently im doing the initial first full drain and so far im already very very impressed! I can already see an increase in battery life. The door fits perfectly on both of the batteries(I ordered two of em) with no problems what so ever. Great so far
Okay im slightly confused, should i drain the battery first or charge it fully overnight?
