No it won't cause any problems.
With all GB ROMs for the SGW you can flash the XXLM8 kernel and not have any problems.
If I 'm not wrong, the rebel already has the xlm8 kernel

Yea it already has the XXLM8 kernel but the OP was asking if its okay to flash the kernel with RebelRom and it is even if nothing really changes.

Would it be possible to flash CM7 with the stock kernel on Xperia Arc S?
I want to try a new ROM but I'm not sure if you need another kernel than the stock. And I couldn't find any existing thread with this problem
(I have rooted it and an unlocked the bootloader)

You need to flash the kernel of CM7 or any custom kernel that's compatible with CM7.

Yup, AOSP-based ROMs don't work with the stock kernel.
Okay thanks. And when I want to get back to my origional ROM (stock), I don't have to flash another kernel. Or do I have to change the kernel everytime I change the ROM? And what makes Doomkernel so special actually?

Some ROMs need specific kernels to work properly. Of course this doesn't necessarily mean that each time you change your rom, you will have to change your kernel as well. Most of the times, in the thread of each ROM you will find info on what kernel is needed each time.
I'm using DoomKernel because I'm very satisfied with its speed and its CWM recovery which is veeery helpful if you wanna try things on your phone!
I already use CWM. Isn't there a kernel that works with any ROM

This kernel is great!My phone's performance improved a lot after flashing it!
But I have some problems after flashing it.
After I boot up my phone about 1 hour,
my phone continues occuring FC .
Most of the apps can't be used.
After that,the wifi ,airplane mode ,auto-rotation ,cannot be use
How can I slove these problems?
I really love this kernel,and I dont want to use xxlm8 kernel.
Anyone can help me?

If I am correct, I usually experience that after flashing Cow Bionic ROM..for the first day usage, but it can also be a warning of a soft brick, where apps are force closing, or your phone keeps on restarting by itself.

No, it's a ROM made by Cowithgun, and it's kernel is oc. But I don't know if there's a package with the kernel only for flashing... But I know that Mutant ROM has this Kernel as option for install on Aroma Installer. So this may be available somewhere.

You may try the latest Beta which can be found in the last few pages of comments, it is with OC Cow kernel, hope it helps

I am now on R800i 4.0.2.A.0.58 EnhancedV2, DooMLoRD Kernel (v14), and Gin2JellyBean (v1.8.1). I am thinking about changing kernel from DooMLoRD Kernel (v14) to LuPuSv2-GB [STOCK-GB][LINARO]. I am also looking for proper rom to match with the change. what should I do? Can someone help?
Both of the kernels you mentioned work with the exact same roms... If you want to use LuPuS stock-gb, just flash it over DooMKerneL v14

There is little chance that Gorkhan will support our phone. He mentioned in his SiyahKernel thread that he has already got too much Samsung Phones, and he might skip ours.

You can flash this Stock w/o wipe. Still have root. I was on Perseus kernẹl, flash this and with Root checker I still maintain my root!
