Hi Folks,
I´m thinking about getting a DG H200 HD for my HOX. But it would be fine if this can be connected with my Android Tablet as well. Does anybody know this or has some experiences with the DG H200?
I've got the media link hd, the bubble upnp app picks it up as a renderer, so using my 8" tablet I can send all my videos on my media server or tablet to my tv.
In other words the medialink is usable with other phones, tablets etc.
Edit... When it's all on the same network.

Are you able to turn the screen off and still do it?? That's the only thing that bothers me about this adapter...having to keep on screen whilst I stream.

Yes screen can be off, I've noticed it uses very little battery drain, I thinks it's because everything is loaded onto the network, and nothing directly through ur phone / tablet.
I only use the hd media link as advertised when on YouTube, the rest of the time it's used as a renderer using bubble upnp, as it runs a lot smoother.

Okey, i will give it a try. if you can really use this adapter with other Androids it is usefull. What about the Quality?
As for quality I'm not sure, I will check the settings on the upnp app when I'm home tonight and try and play some mkvs etc. Iv watched standard avis and they look fine.

It shows up as a DNLA device on pretty much every thing that's capable of transmitting via DNLA. Windows Media Center works as does Windows Media Player. My G-Tab 10.1 connects to it but there's some funkiness with video content being streamed I haven't had time to troubleshoot yet. You can also play music to it and it shows album, title, artist and cover art on the output device.
I had a play with it last nite, and found that not all avis work, most do but some don't, this was the same with mkvs.
Iv been told this is because of the limited amount of codec support the media link has. So be warned not every video will work.
These vids that didn't work on my tablet, I was still able to play using my one x and then connecting the to the media link as advertised, but this is because it is then playing through mxplayer and just being mirrored to my tv.

Xbox will not allow you to play files this way. You could use a USB stick and convert it via the xbox...
even then its complicated to get the films on there.
best way is to not use your xbox
Do you think I should us Hdmi or are there other ways of playing media through my tv ?
Can anyone recommend any apps or workarounds.
Thanks.

the problem with hooking the phone up to the TV is that it quickly catches fire, ive got both a cable and the HDMI wireless jobbie htc sell. my phones goes on fire within about 15 minutes.
How did the xvids get into your phone? If they came from your laptop or pc, why not just stream to the xbox from there?

I just watched a movie which was on my phone using the Xbox... Connect it to Xbox, press disk drive, go to movie app on Xbox and choose the portable USB option.

I did exactly the same except without the xbox, my tv has a usb port and I just browse it as if it's a flash drive. works great. played a FHD Movie from it and it even chargers so the battery doesn't run flat while reading.

Hey,
When I first opened the mentioned app I saw my wdtvlive that is connected to my Wlan. At that time I didn't know anything about it so I just closed it.
Now I've found what that app is and I want to use it with my wdtvlive, but now o can't find my wdtv on the list in the app. I've tried using imediashare and it works. But the 3 finger gesture and other functions of the media link app is what I want.
What can I do? How can I connect to it?

Can't find anything on Google about this issue. Is the HTC media link hd app only supported on the HTC media link device or can it connect to other DLNA devices?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I think it must only be HTC device supported. I have HTC one-x and love the three finger connect, also it seems that in able to play more file types and stream to my tv via the media link.
My wife's Samsung tablet can stream via the HTC media link using imediashare pro version, but need to select the media link from menu when starting any movie. Also less movie file types can be played from the imediashare app.

My question is does HTC the same idea in mind for a external device along the lines of the Apple TV or the Samsung hub that displays and mirrors to tv .
You'd think they would have something out like apple has and like Samsung has to mirror from HTC device .
I would have no idea what to look for ?

HTC's Media Link HD
Was interested in this as well cause the wireless stream thing I bought from best buy lags out so bad. I'd like to stream movies with out any hiccups. Would HTC'S brand work better?

I use the HTC Media Link and it streams 1080p movies and mirrors the device very well. I don't notice any lag on my 60" TV.
The PTV3000 works well, it's also cheaper

Confirmed working with HTC Media Link HD. Can mirror screen, stream multimedia files and aven play Game, although not all games seems compatible.
I was sitting in the bedroom last night watching the game and all of a sudden a prompt came up that said something about media device. I clicked ok and a picture of my daughter was on the screen. My fiancee came into the room with her S3 and was responsible for what was going on. Nothing additional is added for this to work with her device. Why didn't HTC add something as this to there Flagship device?

Anyone know of a way to accomplish the same task without the HTC media device?

I have used an app called "AllCast" from the play store to display photos & videos located on your phone on our Samsung smart TV.

They probably didn't add it because they don't make TVs, which is why they have the media device

htc one can send pictures, videos and music to smart tv's. if your fiancee did it with her s3, you can probably do it to.
first, your tv and your phone have to be on the same network, so you can't use 4g on your phone. connect your phone to the wi-fi router that your tv is connected to.
second, open your gallery, click on a picture or video you want to show on your tv and click on a little "play" icon in top right corner of your phone. it will search for devices and if your tv is compatible it will be shown there. click on it and voila you can play your pictures or videos on your tv. you can do the same thing in music player.
also, depending on your rom, you can accomplish the same thing by sliding three fingers up on your screen.
note: I've noticed that it doesn't work for pictures or videos that are not on my device e.g. facebook pics and such. also my videos are choppy, but it could be my tv being not fully compatible.
I am wanting to buy this phone. I need to know if this phone is capable of streaming from the phone to my smart tv. For instance music and movies through an app already on htc? I can do this on sony and samsung just wondering if htc can do it. Thank you your answers will make me get it tonight.
edit: while of course on wifi on the same network.
I'm streaming to my Xbox one right now using the stock gallery app. Can't see any issues doing it to a tv......
