[REQ] App Drawer position in the dock - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps (US Carriers)

Could some kindly please post how to change the position of the App Drawer icon to the middle?

General section would be a better place for this..

App drawer position is frozen stock. I'm asking which file to modify to change that.

Thank goodness for Widget Locker
My App Shortcuts aren't always showing by the way, only when you press against the Lock in the middle.
My very bottom "lock" unlocks the screen, if you slide right to left, sliding left to right changes the ringer settings..

yea man, the lockscreen looks very nice and rather useful. Haha. Ive tried cm10 a lot of time, but i miss the stock touchwiz features like wifidirect and a few other things way too much to switch to an AOSP or vanilla android rom. Been trying the new jellybean leaks, but now im on wanamlite and enjoying it very well.
oh well, i guess ill have to find a third party unlocker app that will allow me to have all of those shortcuts on my lock screen.

[Q] PacMan 4.2.2 S3

Does anyone know how to get the interface in this picture? Its the latest PacMan 4.2.2 from fergie. I like the layout and can't seem to figure out how to get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Those are called pie controls, and they're fairly standard on 4.2.2 roms. The half-circle pops up when you drag your finger up from the bottom (or side or top, depending on your settings). Check out liquid smooth or carbon rom for examples.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Not the pie controls, but the square app style.
Yup me that just looks like an icon pack. I don't know which one though.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Is that something you download in the play store or is it downloaded through the ROM itself?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771639
That is an xda thread that has 25 icon packs. I'd just do a quick search through xda or Google to see what is available. I'd trust the content of xda over others, but that's just me.

Thanks! Those are some cool Icons there. Will definitely have to keep that link bookmarked.I got the ones fergie used. There called 'Glass Theme'. I searched the thread once I knew what an Icon pack was. Thanks for all the help and quick replies!

Man, topherks been on a role, usually I'm one of the first to reply to question threads

Move icons around like iOS ?

I like to arrange my apps by alphabetical order, and it's a real pain in the ass that when I add a new app it doesn't just push all the icons over a space it pushes sone down some sideways.
Any way to tweak it so it reacts like iOS when I'm adding / removing /moving icons?
Thanks.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Man press menu button while app drawer open...view type...alphabetical grid...bam done.
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
First off I'm not talking app drawer. I'm talking desktop pages. Second off, when pressing menu button in the app drawer there is no such option as you speak of. Thirdly the app drawer is already in alphabetical order. So no need to even do what you suggest.
Anyone else have an actual answer to my question?

I can't directly answer your question but I will give a suggestion. You can the ROM in the link and maybe this can be more like iOS for you. The apps behave like iOS sort of. Give it a look at least.

Why do you even put your apps on the home screen instead of just leaving them in the drawer? I could understand a few, but not all of them.

I agree with this. The idea behind the home screen is to place widgets and app icons in such a way that is convenient for quick info access and the more commonly used apps and functions on the phone. The app drawer is the all apps view. Seems a waste to do otherwise.

And fourth seems like you don't know how to phrase a question with all the information. Next time tell people what launcher you are using and what screen you are trying to accomplish it on....so people dont waste there time giving you such unsatisfactory answers.

I have different pages to group different types of apps. That's why. App drawer is something completely different than that.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Why don't you use folders instead? Less clutter and probably works better for what you want.

You do realize this will lag your launcher out right? As stated above use folder for it.

I notice zero lag and I have about 6 full pages of icons.

I think the issue is that you see a droid like iOS. Its isn't. IOS is an app drawer and that's its when it comes to how it functions. Apple places every app on the front yet android allows you to make it your own and exercise your creativity...or the lack there of. Its how it works
I suggest maybe miui would be worth a shot to try. They are about 50 different launchers out there to try but none of the popular ones will work like you want.

That is the way the launchers are made to work. There is no changing it unless you build your own launcher and change the way it moves the icons.
What is wrong with the OP? They gave him an answer so why is he being difficult?
They gave me answers? No they shot down my question with bull**** remarks and started acting all android fanboy like because I'd like icons to move around like they do on a iPhone which is in my opinion is a lot easier to deal with then the randomness of the android icon movement.
