I have seen many request a working apktool. Attached is one that is working for me.
I take no credit for it. It's one I found. Unfortunately, I don't have a source...so props to whoever.
And for those unsure how to use this, here is a link to a tutorial I made. The link in the description is for the gingerbread version..so use the package found in this thread and all should still apply.

Could some one explain what file and what part tells android to use the new unlock or the ASOP unlock screen??
I combined the midNight 5.1 patch; with my theme that I combined aspects of honeycomb fusion 1.1, midNight and Mysterious Beast black froyo, I just added the kernel and some other jar files.

well the multiwindow itself does work with jmt8 yes however, systemui and twlauncher do not work after the mod. will see if i can fix it. if it works i might just have to send the owner a copy......if i ever get my permission's. im not even really sure i need them but want to make sure i do this the right way

ok question i have waited a few days now and still no response on permissions not even a no. so im wondering can i put my mod out there and just make sure to give credit deserved to the main dev. would that be ecceptable?.
im dying to get this out there. currently i am putting together a flashable for jmt8 only. i have spoken with ptmr3 about it and thats what he suggested doing.

well so far i have permission for half the project but until i get stuff straigtened out with experical or fiqure out why the mod is causing the force close of the system ui i will not release this. i want us all to be able to enjoy this but it has to be done the right way.. thank you for your patience and rest assured we do finally have the multiwindow working for our device...

Ya know? After searching around a bit I found that it's actually not a new thing... Since we're use to how the note 3 is we didn't know, but the s5 has been like that and the note 4 is a continuation/upgrade of the s5 theme and system (should have changed that garbage imo).. Only difference is that instead of having qmgs they have pkms........ It's like Sammy hasn't figured out which way they wanna bish slap ppl that wanna change how their TouchPiss looks..
